How many people in China do you think know about the 3 Superman clones in America? Its not laziness, its saving money on a ride that wouldnt draw any more people (very few atleast) if it was a custom design. Actually S:UF @ SFOG is also a custom flyer, since it was the first of its kind. The same can be said about B:TR @ SFGAM.

Thundercoaster is designed by Allot & Lomax, and put together by a company that travels around the world and builds wooden coasters. The last coaster they did before TC was SoB. As far as I know Vekoma only did the trains, brakes, lift system and that kind of stuff.

Looks pretty good, but it needs more colours in my opinion. But still its some very nice work. The coaster looks a bit unrealistic though...

Nope! Its still the same. I only love it when its raining because it becomes a completely different ride. Still rough, but much faster, giving ejector airtime on most hills...

Great update! Im glad that you all had a good time despite Speedmonster breaking down. It happened when I was at Tusenfryd too, and I was also pleasantly surprised that they explained to everyone in the queue line what was wrong with the ride. I find Thundercoaster to be 'just okay' when its dry, but when its raining it becomes a completely different ride, flying over every hill. Backseat on that ride is amazing in the rain!

Why does these incidents always seem to happen at park WITH metal detectors???

Im going there not the upcoming week, but the week after. I sure hope its open by then because its a really good coaster. ^Going slightly off-topic here, but Im going with a friend whose not so eager to go if theres only two of us. To me it seems like theres alot of pointless coasters in Japen. By that I mean coasters that does a whole lot of nothing, like the many Jet Coaster's there are over there. Large coasters, but the hills are so shallow I dont even know if they can be called drops. But there are definately many interesting coasters in Japan aswell...

Another article, also in swedish http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/nyheter/story/0,2789,857623,00.html It says that most of the train hadnt engaged the lifthill and thr anti-rollback device, and because of that the rollback device failed to hold the train. If the entire train was on the lifthill the accident wouldnt have happened because the entire train would have interfered with the anti-rollback device.

According to a witness one of the trains was on its way up the lifthill when it suddenly rolled-back, hitting a train in the station. No one were seriously hurt, but people were complaining about neck/back pain. They expect most of them to leave the hospital during the day. The other side currently has a river rapids, a swinging ship, a restaurant and one of the stations for the railway. There wont be much more on that side, but Im planning to add a few more flat rides.

I think the tri-track looks kinda ugly, but the ride itself looks very fun. Im sure we will see much of Gerstlauer in the years to come.

Im starting to become really proud of this park. Here are some more pictures: Soon I will be done with one side of the river... I have finished most of the area around the inverted coaster. Same picture, but a different angle. The 'cages behind the main stand is where the animals used in the show are being held. The animal show has been changed to a 'Tarzan show' since that would fit better with the jungle theming.
