  1. I'm so insanely jealous of this picture. I was about to add a "you have no idea" at the end of my statement, but judging from your trip report I think you might be an even bigger Elsa fanboy than me, and that say a lot. Good thing that this time in 9 weeks I'll be on a plane across the Atlantic ocean... I also missed Celebrate the Magic during my last visit, so really looking forward to see it in person. I have watched the whole show on youtube, and I must say it looks absolutely fantastic!
  2. I just went through all your pictures, love the look of Cedar Point in the snow! I always find it interesting to see all the work that goes on during the off-season and behind the scenes, particularly seeing the coaster trains stripped down to the framework. Overall a great report, enjoyed reading it very much!
  3. I havent really followed the construction of Impulse, but I must say it looks like a very good ride and I think it will fit very well into Knoebels' collection of rides.
  4. Let the storm rage on, the rain never bothered me anyway....
  5. Not a big concert person, but I love watching Chris Thompson together with Mads Eriksen Band perform in my city every year, playing all the classic Mannfred Manns Earth Band songs. I grew up listening to "Mannfred Manns Earth Band - Live from Budapest 1983" and its still one of my favorite albums today, so always looking forward to the next concert. Small venue (180-200 people capacity), low roof, great sound and fantastic atmosphere every time. This spring theyre performing May 1st and 2nd with a so far unannounced guest artist. Last years guest artist was Midge Ure.
  6. Maybe they can add Big Dipper from Geauga Lake, then they can save both a park and a coaster??
  7. 1. Do you have your videos set to auto-play on your: a. desktop computer and/or b. mobile device? (or if you don't know, just tell us if the videos auto-play or not in your newsfeed.) Autoplay on computer, not on mobile device. 2. Do you regularly "share" content from Facebook "page" (like the TPR page) to your own personal Facebook page? And have you shared something from the TPR page? I occasionally share stuff from the TPR page if its from a park I have visited or a coaster I have been. For example I shared the latest Montu POV on my wall. 3. What kind of content are you most likely to share? (Videos, Photos, News Stories, etc?) Everything really, but again limited to parks I have visited/coasters I have been on, or related to parks I'm going to in the future. 4. How long on average do you watch a video posted to Facebook for? Do you watch the entire video? First 30 seconds? Until you get bored? POVs I usually watch the whole video. Longer videos I might skip through certain parts. 5. How important are "video thumbnails" to you? (the image you see with the > Play icon before you click to watch a video) Not important, I usually know what the video is about from the title. 6. What do you like/dislike about Facebook? What features do you use the most and which ones annoy you? I strongly dislike the name tagging the comments section, makes the whole thing a mess. I don't bother reading the comments section, I stick to the links/pictures/videos. For comments/discussion I go to the TPR forum which holds a much higher standard. 7. Is there anything that TPR does or doesn't do on Facebook that you think we should be doing more/less of? I think currently there is a good mix of content being posted. I like seing links to trip reports and other content on the forums which I might have missed.
  8. Love this trip report! Great to see I'm not the only one who is a massive Elsa fanboy! Definately looking forward to the MK update!
  9. Love the picture of White Lightning, fantastic shot!
  10. Would be great indeed. I will let you know when the trip gets closer and I have a better idea of my park schedule. Starting to become a decent list of people to meet, cant wait to go!
  11. I would definately do Copenhagen and the Danish parks over Tusenfryd and Oslo, absolutely no doubt. Not a big fan of Oslo at all. I haven't seen a lot of Copenhagen, but it constantly ranks high on the list of cities to vist. Tusenfryd is as people have said a decent park, but not worth going out of your way to visit. And yes, Norway is indeed ridiculously expensive!!
  12. I vaguely remember reading Bamse cartoons as a kid. I cannot remember any of the storyline, but I do remember 'Dunderhonning'. The new area looks great, should be a nice addition to the park.
  13. The trip might be over 2 months away, but I have started thinking about park schedule. What would be the best parks to visit during the weekend? I assume that there is a rather noteworthy difference in weekday and weekend crowds... Also how accurate are the crowd calenders such as the one from Undercover Tourist? https://www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/crowd-calendar/may-2015/#calendar Anyone who wants to meet up in addition to those who have already posted in this thread, feel free to let me know!
  14. ^And some of us just says "I want a rollercoaster..." Baron looks great by the way, should be an excellent contribution to what looks like a fantastic park!
  15. A - B - Boulder Dash C - Cheetah Hunt D - Dragon Challenge (Chinese Fireball) E - El Toro (SFGADV) F - Fahrenheit G - Great Bear H - Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit I - Insane J - Jetline K - Katun L - Lisebergbanan M - Montu N - Nitro (SFGADV) O - P - Phoenix Q - R - Runaway Mine Train (SFGADV) S - Storm Runner T - Twister (Gröna Lund) U - V - Vilda Musen W - Wild Train (Fantasiana) X - X-treme Racers (Legoland, Billund) Y - Z - Zoomerang (Lake Compounce)
  16. So Frozen is finally coming to the real Norway. Should have been a bit further south on the Norwegian west coast if you ask me... http://www.insidethemagic.net/photos/photos-frozen-heads-to-norway-the-real-country-not-epcot-in-new-disney-cruise-line-port-adventures/
  17. Fantastic update, I really enjoy following this! Oh, and I would totally get an Elsa Magic Band myself!
  18. Great trip report! Having been a first-time visitor to Orlando myself less than half a year ago, I can certainly relate to the expectations and great feeling of finally being a place you have wanted to go for a long time! Looking forward to the next update.
  19. Of those I have been on I have to go with Storm Runner. Absolutely loved it when I rode it back in 2008!
  20. ^Yup, I will definately be showing some support for SeaWorld when going in May.
  21. Only been to WDW, so I have to go with Magic Kingdom. Really brought me back to my childhood, and Wishes almost brought a tear to my eye. I missed Celebrate the magic last time so really looking forward to see it in May. Honorable mention goes to Animal Kingdom, a stunningly beautiful park, but lacking a bit when it comes to things to do. But I'm sure Avatarland will bring the park to a whole new level.
  22. Building a modern steel coaster is simple, once groundwork is done its pretty much lift the support/track pieces into place, insert and tighten bolts and nuts. And even though RMC has done a couple of rebuilds now, every new rebuild is also pretty much a prototype. Yes, all track calculations and track manufacturing is done beforehand, but you cannot just scan the original structure and have it all magically appear on the computer. When using an original wooden structure there are so many variables along the way during the construction compared to building a rollercoaster from scratch.
