  1. Haven't had a beer for a couple of days, so time to get back to trying some more local stuff. Tonight I'm having a Red IPA from the local Lysefjorden microbrewery. Very good beer, quite a fruity taste! It's written on the back that they used raisins to achieve the fruity taste, and you can certainly feel that. I like it very much!
  2. This is standard on this ride, there are signs in the station telling riders to bring bags with them on the ride and not leave them on the station platform. But yeah, Liseberg has awesome operations. I've seen them have 6 operators checking restraints on Balder, 3 on each side, all pretty much running when doing it!
  3. May and first half of June were great, but there hasn't been much summer since. Mostly cloudy, rainy and temperatures around 15-17 degrees Celsius. Not even the presence of Disney Magic in town today could bring out the sun!
  4. you have a good head for hair that short. looking great Thanks! And you make a great mermaid!
  5. From the top of my head, in no particular order as I don't do rankings. Some parks I haven't visited in a long time so I list them on how I felt at the time of the visit: Liseberg - Helix/Balder SFGADV - El Toro/Nitro (2008 visit) BGT - Kumba/Montu IoA - Hulk / Dragons Parque Warner - Batman la Fuga / Superman la Atracción de Acero (2003 visit)* *To be honest I'm not sure how I would rank the latter now. But when I rode it back in 2003 I had only been on a handful non-kiddie coasters and it absolutely blew my mind back then, so I figured it was worth mentioning.
  6. Yeah, idiots will always be idiots no matter what! The game is not officially released in Norway yet, but already we've heard news report of a car driving the wrong way down a one-way street because the people in the car were too occupied looking for a pokemon instead of looking at the signs. And we've also had teenagers jumping the fence to get into a shopping mall parking garage at night and setting off the alarm because there were some Pokemons there. Can't blame the game in any way though, it's not Nintendo's fault that (some) people are completely oblivious to the fact that other people actually live in this world...
  7. ^Unless Tusenfryd have changed anything for this season (which I highly doubt), you pay as you enter the parking lot (50 NOK).
  8. Wow I completely missed that this was announced! Looks like a great ride, should be a solid fun addition to Parc Asterix. Love the train design!
  9. Awesome trip report! I love seeing photos from these small parks I've never heard of it. Looks like a very nice place for a relaxing day. Thanks for sharing!
  10. Just came back from watching Independence Day: Resurgence, an extremely weak movie, even for a summer blockbuster! There are so many things wrong with this movie that I don't even know where to begin. I had very low expectations after talking to a friend who had seen it, but even so it still left me severely disappointed. What an absolute mess of a movie!
  11. That sure is quite a trip! I've enjoyed following it very much, thanks for sharing with us!
  12. Great trip report! I totally approve of the amount of beer featured in trip reports on TPR lately!
  13. That is an awesome wheel collection!
  14. ^After reading that article and the comments I feel like hitting my head against something hard to regain some of the sanity I just lost... (Not related to what you said, but that the British media decides to turn an ordinary event into a horror story)
  15. ^I suppose the next round of beers is on you then... Magical evening at the stadium yesterday watching Brann, the citys football (soccer) team, winning 4-1 and climbing to 4th place in the Norwegian top divison. Goal celebrations were absolutely mental!!! Up there on the very last row among the group of standing fans is my "second home"...
  16. Amazing photos, thanks for sharing!
  17. Unfortunately not, it's been all quiet. I've been checking for news pretty much on a weekly basis for months, but I haven't seen anything.
  18. FYI if you're interested in doing any meetups, I'm currently planning to be at Kolmården on August 10th.
  19. Woah I totally missed this until I saw the link on the TPR twitter page. Great trip report, Walibi Holland is quite a nice park indeed. Very nice natural scenery, some good theming, and a couple of great rides combined with some not-so-great ones. I didn't find Robin Hood to be very rough when I rode it during my visit in the spring. However I did have a problem with the restraint, which tightened during the ride and made it rather uncomfortable. As for Lost Gravity, I wasn't quite as wowed by it as you guys seem to be. The first half is very good, but the second half felt a bit slow to me and seemed to focus more on hangtime and that's not quite my cup of tea. I must add though that due to a rather long line I only rode it once, and I've always thought that in order to get a really good impression of a ride you need to ride it more than once. But overall I do think it's a rather solid ride. Btw, that backstage area of Xpress looks awfully familar! A very wise decision indeed! Looking forward to see more from your trip!
  20. Looks quite good! Some of the areas around the ride looks like it still needs some work, as well as some time for the vegetation to grow back, but the theming they have done looks really good. Love the broken vikingships!
  21. Would love to join you, but unfortunately I'm working until August 8th so that won't work for me. But thanks for the offer!
  22. Awesome trip report! Looks like the park has a really nice atmosphere. Love the sleeping coaches used as motel, that is really cool. Thanks for sharing!
  23. I'm planning a trip to Kolmården in August, and it looks like it will be another solo adventure for me. Right now I'm looking at August 10th as the most likely date. Any locals (or anyone else who might be in the area around that time) interested in meeting up? I will also probably do Gröna Lund while I'm in the area.
  24. The GP totally cares about wooden coasters. They're all old, dangerous and about to fall apart any second!
  25. Currently drinking a #500 Imperial IPA 100 IBU 10% ABV from Nøgne Ø Brewery located on the Norwegian south coast. Started in 2002, Nøgne Ø was one of the first craft beer breweries in Norway and is currently the largest behind all the mainstream mass-production breweries. I'm struggling a bit to make up my mind on this particular beer, it tastes quite good, but it also feels quite "sticky" when drinking it, and I'm not sure how much I like that. Almost feel like eating it rather than drinking it. It is a type of beer where you definitely spend some time emptying the glass. A beer of good quality, but I don't think it's quite my style. I'm definitely gonna try more beers from Nøgne Ø though, only tried two so far and they've both been of the strong kind. Maybe the slightly lighter/more normal stuff (5-7% ABV) will be more my kind of beer...
