Yeah, I can only support what the others have been saying. Some drone footage would be awesome! I also really like RollerManics suggestion about strapping GoPros to some of the workers. Oh, and I absolutely cannot wait to ride Wildfire this summer. I will probably go sometime in the first half of August. -

A comment on a youtube video called "Rollercoaster accidents" (which featured mainly flat ride accidents). I guess I should only go to Tusenfryd from now on... -

^I had the exact same issue with the lapbar on Robin Hood. Shame, because the ride itself is alright. But the lapbar tightening makes it ratger uncomfortable. -

Nice trip report! I was about to write "Lucky you" with the SLC closed, but then I saw you had to ride it later in the day. And yes, it is indeed a piece of crap (or crab or whatever you wanna call it). I also thought Speed of Sound was pretty cool. The new trains works wonders for this ride! I also really liked the tunnel on the backwards lift, it makes it feel a lot steeper than you're regular boomerang. Regarding Xpress I didn't find it very rough, it just wasn't very exciting. I love Rock'n Rollercoaster, but outside the layout just doesn't seem to work very well. Also the trains sucks, they are so cramped! -

With so many rides opening I had completely forgotten about this one. I'm very curious to see it in action, and also to hear some reviews when it opens. With it's small footprint I can imagine this model being attractive to other small parks. -
Today has been a near perfect day, so what better way to enjoy it than with a beer called "Summer". As always solid stuff from 7 Fjell.

I haven't had a beer with Nina Kleppe in a while, I should probably do something about that....

^So when do we meet at Kolmården?? Oh, and I LOVE those trains! Black/red/gold is a great color combination, reminds me of the western style steam trains! -
You are right, nothing will stop the ride.... except the three other cables on the ride! And those four large shock absorbers at the bottom. While I don't know the exact way the S&S towers work, I always thought those were to ensure that the car would come to a smooth stop at the end of the ride, not to stop a freefall drop.

7 Fjell - Tjommi Another great beer from 7 Fjell (7 Mountains Brewery). "Tjommi" is a local expression, meaning "buddy/pal". The guys at 7 Fjell really knows what they're doing, everything I've tried from them so far have ranged from good to fantastic. It's awesome to have such a fantastic small brewery in my city! I think their beer is my current number one beer! Edit: To expand a little, we have pretty much had a beer revolution in Norway over the latest years. Go back 10 years and pretty much all the beer sold in Norway was from only a handful of large breweries. As of June 2015 there were 112 registered breweries in Norway, not bad for a country of only 5 million people.

Making a Trip Report
viking86 replied to Imagineer Josh's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There is no fixed recipe on how to make a trip report. Most of the time I spend at a park I don't think about the trip report I'm going to make, I just have fun and take a bunch of pictures throughout the day. Sometimes I will think that "I need to get a picture of this for the trip report" or "this will be fun to write about", but most of the time I just enjoy my day and take pictures of whatever I feel taking pictures of. Then after I get home sort the pictures, select those I want to put in the trip report and do the trip report writing. Normally I write the trip reports within 1-2 weeks after I get home so I have the trip fresh in my memory (I see some people take up to a year or two lol). I also use the pictures to remember in what order I did things. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you can never plan a day at a park 100%, it will be whatever happens the day you're at the park which will define how your trip report will be. Just go ahead and give it a try the next time you visit to a park! There is no need to feel that a trip report needs to be up to a certain standard to be posted here, and I can promise you that people will always find something they enjoy in your trip report. -

Great report so far! Your review of the coasters at BGT are pretty much spot on with my opinion about the rides. Kumba is just perfection, easily one of B&M's finest rides. Cheetah Hunt it's just so much fun, I could ride it all day long. The part over the water is my favorite part also. And as for Montu, I swear that batwing element in the backseat is trying to rip your face off!

^I definitely noticed some jerky movement when I rode it some weeks back, but I didn't find it uncomfortable or painful in any way. I only rode it once though due to long line, so I could probably give a more accurate opinion about if I had gotten a couple of more rides on it.
