  1. ^That's sweet, I love when parks adds interactive touches like these!
  2. Thanks for sharing the pictures. The new areas looks fantastic! I might have to stop by Liseberg this year too and check out the new stuff. Besides, Liseberg is a park that's worth visiting every year!
  3. What is that? I'm inclined to say lift motor for Talon, but there's wheel assemblies on it. It's a B&M track inspection car. It's motorized vehicle that can move slowly along the track, while staying in an upright position all the time. You can see it in action here!
  4. Another interesting picture posted on Tusenfryd's Facebook page last Friday, this time it's some of the parks engineers checking out the pumps for Ragnarok.
  5. It's Monday today and it wasn't terrible, I guess that's something to be happy about?? If the park becomes a reality it will definitely be a seasonal park, probably late April to early October. Don't expect any heavy snowfall though, it's on the west coast. Lots of rain and occasional snow will probably be more accurate. You need to go up into the mountains to get large amounts of snow. Oh, and if you ever need any help with that Norwegian let me know...
  6. YAY AWESOME!! There is absolutely no doubt that I will be visiting Kolmården this year!
  7. Nice pictures, thanks for sharing! Love the artwork in the front of the Cyclone train. Volare may not be a good ride, but I always thought the lift concept was brilliant! It's so simple, just a rotating tower with no need for either chain or anti-rollbacks. I don't know if it's cost saving compared to a normal chain lift though, considering the more complicated trackwork required, but I love the simplicity of it.
  8. Hah, I can just imagine the conversation! "Hello, is this the fire department?" "Yes, that's us" "Please come, my house is on fire" "Sorry, we spent all the water filling the log flume"
  9. Not really an update, but I like this picture Tusenfryd posted on facebook a couple of days ago, as they get some local help to fill the log flume with water. *The big number 8 is because it was 8 days until the park opening when the picture was posted. Source
  10. LOL this looks so ridicilous! What is even the point of that fence? Nice report though, I always enjoy reading reports from parks I don't know that much about.
  11. Thanks for sharing, that wood structure looks amazing on top of the hill. I have no doubt in my mind that this will look absolutely incredible when it's done!
  12. ^I'm pretty sure they have given up on the ride and were looking for the best way to dismantle the whole thing...
  13. That describes pretty much exactly how I feel about water slides!
  14. Never been a big fan of waterparks. That doesn't mean that I don't enjoy waterparks, but I usually don't bother with them. I did have a good day at Aquatica when visiting back in 2014. The trapdor slide I didn't really enjoy, generally I'm not really a great fan of fast body slides. However I LOVED the racing slide, that was a TON of fun!
  15. That was a great report, really enjoyed it! I can't believe it's been nearly 8 years since I visited this park. Really want to ride El Toro again...
  16. That was a great trip report, I really enjoyed it! Both pictures and captions were great. It was cool to see the "park side" of Lagoon. While I'm very familiar with the rollercoasters, I didn't really know much about the park itself so that was nice to see. Definitely some strange park policies going on there... I had a good laugh at your "This is where God is buried" comment. It was interesting though to get a little insight into the Mormon culture, I would probably visit it myself if I was in SLC just to see what it's all about. By the way, you didn't happen to get hold of any of that magic underwear on your trip, did you? Oh, and at the end I do have to address this picture. This place has their whales suspended from the ceiling? And people say SeaWorld mistreat their animals? Damn, where are the Blackfish crazies when you actually need them???
  17. ^Spelling! Sorry I couldn't resist. Plus I'm not sure about the difference myself...
  18. The park has released a POV of Timber. Looks like a really fun, fast ride!
  19. There hasn't been much updates in the last year. However I came across a headline from yesterday in a local newspaper in that area, now saying that the park might be ready to open in 2020. Unfortunately the article is for subscribers only so I'm not able to read any more of it. Further delays was not the news I wanted, but as I have stated several times earlier I'm still skeptical about this project. I'll believe it when they actually start building the park... Source Google translate of the small part available without subscription: No news on the parks website, it still says they hope to have the financing ready by spring 2016 so that the park can open in 2019 (on the front page it still says 2018). But that has been on their website for a long time now...
  20. That opening show with fireworks, projection mapping and live orchestra is seriously impressive. I'm not a Potter fan, but still it must have been an amazing experience to be there!
  21. Not quite sure how I feel about those trains. Definitely not the prettiest one, but as others have pointed out they do have this cool retro ghost train look to them.
  22. I must say I love the mounted backseat POV's you have been putting up. First Dominator earlier this year, and now Lightning Run. You rarely see good high-quality backseat POV's, and it gives an interesting view of how the train moves throughout the ride.
  23. Today was normal weather (aka lots of rain), but this is the weather forecast for the next 9 days. No rain, can it really be true? What is this sorcery??
  24. To be the biggest park in Norway doesn't require much. But I agree with you in the sense that I wouldn't call Tusenfryd a smaller park. Although I'm not sure if I would call it a major park either, more like a mid-range European park. Definitely major by Norwegian standards though...
  25. Yeah, those big-ass deer antlers on the roof looks a bit strange and not very asthetically pleasing. The rest looks great though!
