  1. I don't want to seem like I'm making up rumors, but I've read from people working on the AW park demolition that Ultra Twister is probably heading to SFA, but I'm not dead sure about this.
  2. Yeah! The Nationals got Soriano! We got a pretty good deal, Wilkerson was struggling and Sledge was injured all year, and Soriano is awesome. He's the second star on the Nationals who I've seen play minor league baseball in Columbus.
  3. I really didn't get to do that much this year. April: I went to Hersheypark for the "Springtime in the Park" Event. It was great, was almost no lines and really cheap prices, but Midway America being closed. May: I went to SFA for my birthday, I finally got to ride Batwing and Two-Face, I had a great time. July: I got to make my second visit to BGW, I wanted to ride DarKastle but couldn't due to a limited time there. I went to SFA twice, had decent visits, and finally checked out the waterpark. I went to PKD and finally rode FoF and Volcano, both are great rides. August: I went to Dorney Park, got all of the major coaster in 4 hours, it was pretty crowded though. I went back to SFA in pouring rain, and went to PKD, where I finally rode Rebel Yell Backwards. I didn't get to do that much this year, but then again it was my first full year being really into coasters.
  4. Interesting... is Steeplechase really that good, or is it just anger at Knott's taking their's out?
  5. Best: S:ROS @ SFA: Great airtime hills, the brake at the end is very short, and I always think I'm going to go crashing into the station. Apollo's Chariot: The last dip is great. Flight of Fear/ Joker's Jinx: The last corkscrew out of the steel knot is memorable. Worst: Great Bear: Just kind of meanders into the finish Roar @ SFA: OUCH! This ride is crap, but the ending is the worst.
  6. I rode most of SFA's coasters in pouring rain, that made them all pretty bad, except Two-Face because it was inverted, so the rain didn't hit me. I rode BBW once, and it was weird. I got on, did the first part, and it wasn't raining. As I ascended the second lift, it started to rain in a dramatic fashion. I absolutely loved the experience of skimming over the water with the rain coming down all around me. My best ride in the rain, and my best ride on BBW.
  7. I downloaded it. I think it is very nice, I've always enjoyed this series. But yeah, you need to download the others first to be able to get this.
  8. No, nobody has any pictures of IOA. They banned taking pictures in their park, and delete all pictures people try to post. Nobody has succesfully taken a picture from one of the nation's most visited park and lived to tell the tale. Seriously, it takes about three clicks to find Robb's pictures from the park, and there are tons of sites devoted to theme parks, including some just to IOA. Robb's pictures can be found http://www.themeparkreview.com/photos/index.htm
  9. That's because it's not the "bird's-eye" photo. Those are only availible in a few metropolitan areas, and SFGadv is not near one of the major cities listed. I noticed that Knott's when viewed north-oriented it has Windjammer, and when viewed south-oriented it has dirt from Windjammer's demolition. I get satisfaction out of looking at it with Windjammer, then reversing the view and seeing it reduced to dirt.
  10. Clicking around, I noticed something else about the time gap between pictures. Here's a SFA Penguin's Blizzard River before and after: After Before
  11. Crap! I didn't even realize how old this topic was. I hate posting in a topic and realizing that the topic is useless now, and is only up here because someone bumped it up.
  12. Yes, going to the D.C. area is a good idea. There are a lot of good parks (Including BGW, my favorite park) within 2-3 hours of here, and D.C. is great for sightseeing.
  13. This is weird, when I look at Knott's with the arrow pointing north, I see Windjammer. But with it pointing east, I see Xcellerator. What's up with that?
  14. The zip file didn't work for me; it said it was invalid or corrupt.
  15. That would be great if you went on that escalator, you need to make a special trip to ride it! If you can go out of your way to go to Uncle Bernie's Theme Park, I think you can do this! I've been on the world's second largest, but that's just the escalator out of one of my local subway stations...
  16. I'll admit it. I LOVE Anaconda. Everyone hates the arrow multi-loopers, but I love PKD's. I think it's really fun. I also like the Premier LIM Bowls (FoF, Joker's Jinx) more than most people, I think they're great.
  17. For Steel Coasters... SR always seems too short, and I hated the restraints. A cool ride, but I didn't get why people are obssesed with it. For Woodies... I never really got Grizzly. Grizzly was kind of cool, but it was rough, especially in the tunnel. I didn't get that "flying through the woods" feeling people claim to experience.
  18. Is there a lot of none-coaster stuff around SCBB? I want to have another reason to go down to that area.
  19. Borderline, I'm right there. Do you like college sports?
  20. No, luckily. Have you ever been stuck on an amusement ride?
  21. It was sarcasm, that's why he put the quotes. Get it? Ha ha.
  22. absolutely nothing, so they...
  23. With the fact that the Alveys live right next door to SFMM, I think it will be sometime soon.
