  1. I've waited in a line that long for Talon before. Luckily it was in the evening and a bit cooler, but it sucked because the ride broke down with me next in line. On the subject of best q's, I would definetly agree with Dueling Dragons, and I also thought Hulk's was pretty cool too.
  2. A few days ago I used South of the Border's website feedback to ask if they ever intended to re-open their Wild Mouse, out of curiousity. They never replied.
  3. Does a coaster count as a credit if you only ride it once, and you have to get off at the MCBR due to technical difficulties. (Hypothetical Question)
  4. ^ Would it be DeVry, or one of those other colleges I could graduate from right now?
  5. Does anyone have any POV of The Ultimate? I'm wondering because it's one of the world's longest coasters, yet no one talks about it. Probably because it's boring, but for some reason I like POV's of these types of rides. For example, I loved the POV of the really long boring coaster in Japan.
  6. Wasn't it called something along the lines of "Cannon Coaster"?
  7. From my past experiences I would say getting to XLC or Volcano first is a must to avoid long waits. Drop Zone is awesome, you need to ride that. Also, Rebel Yell Backwards can be very fun if the ride ops have them racing. I haven't been to the waterpark recently, but it doesn't look that great. Maybe IJST will be good, but from the other ones I wouldn't count on it. BGW is a great park, even with the small amount of coasters, they are all superb, and the theming alone makes a visit worth it. Try to ride DarKastle if you can, the lines were too long when I went, though Apollo's Chariot was a walk on.
  8. No Did you ever want to be a firefighter?
  9. Fairfax County, Virginia, mid-30s, we got snow this morning but now it's raining.
  10. I found this link w/pictures of the new ride: http://www.theparks.it/news.php?id=273
  11. Random Banana, part 2 occured today at school. It was very confusing. :?
  12. Could mine be: Random Banana!
  13. It's called sarcasm... I wish people would pay more attention...
  14. From my small experience: 1. Busch Gardens Williamsburg 2. Island of Adventure 3. Hersheypark 4. Magic Kingdom 5. Legoland 6. Paramount's Kings Dominion 7. Dorney Park 8. Six Flags America N/A because I was too young to remember: Six Flags Astroworld (RIP)
  15. I think RCPro has an SOB POV.
  16. I know there was a bogus rumor on screamscape... but now it's coming from that site posted before, astroworldpark, and SixFlagsHouston.com, which is why it suprises me so much.
  17. You should be shot for that pun.
  18. He said he's already been to IOA. I don't have much experience, only having been to IOA and WDW, but Universal Studios looks like it would be good to visit.
  19. I think they always had them, looking at pictures from Morey's Piers' version from the 80's it had them also.
  20. Hey everybody! This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Mirabilandia (Italy), this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page.. Official Park Website Below are some links to past updates from the park, you may be interested in. Next year, Mirabilandia, the place best known for Katun and smiley-face pizzas, is adding a Schwarzkopf Katapult. This seems odd to me, but is good too, because all five Katapults had become defunct, but it appears one of them is being put back in service. For those who don't know the very simple layout of a Katapult, here it is: http://rcdb.com/ig949.htm?picture=2 Here's the proof of Mirabilandia's: http://rcdb.com/id3429.htm
  21. Two things I just noticed from the Hulk guy: 1. Since when is enthusiast pronounced En-thu-se-Assed. 2. Does Hulk really typically rank among the top 2-3 coasters in the country? Because I've barely ridden anything, and it's not in my top 2-3.
  22. ^ That's the Intamin Ball Coaster, right?
  23. I just started viewing them... they're looking very good so far.
  24. I don't think SLCs are that bad. Sure they are rough as hell, but the layout is very good, and almost (to me) makes up for the roughness. Besides, to the GP, this would seem like a very good addition, especially for a park that appeals mostly to locals. Also, it looks likely now that Ultra Twister is going somewhere. I am reading from Astroworld sites from people involved in demolition that the switchback has been removed, and various wires and cables have been taken out, looks like they are in a hurry to move it.
