I got to throw out the first pitch at a minor-league baseball game along with Streling Martin (NASCAR Driver), that was pretty neat. I've also gotten to meet a few senators my aunt worked for, but overall I haven't met many people.

Wow! I saw the weirdest thing. I was riding in the car going down a local street, and I saw a house that had recently been sold. The sign out front read this: MOVING IN SOON: ROB AND ELISA Very weird!

I have news confirming the status of Williams Grove. I e-mailed them asking what their operating schedule was, and received this in reply: Mr xxxxx, Thank-you for your e-mail but we regret to inform you that WilliamsGrove Amusment Park will not be operationally for the 2006 season.The management of Williams Grove had been in negotiations with a operational company to operate this season. This corporation has just relayed to us this was not going to be possible so at this time we will not be operating. There has been no decision as to the sale of the park at this time. The status at this moment is only that we will not be operating this season should at any point a sale of any kind be done it will not involve Williams Grove Speedway who is now running two nights both Friday and Saturdays. We regret this decision but we feel it is in our better interest for now. Please watch for any details later in the future. Thoughts? Looks like they haven't given up yet, at least.

Escape From Ponpeii's fire is very good, and I actually like the way PKD's Volcano shoots up fire between rides.

I guess it's all based on opinion. Some rides people love other people loathe, like the ride pictured above. Just go to parks with a variety of types of coasters, decide what you like best, and hone in on that type of ride when choosing park visits.

Well Cox cable is stupid... with 100 channels, and OLN's not one. For now I'm stuck watching weight-lifting championships and pool on ESPN2.

Wow... I've been out of hockey a while. I didn't even realize he retired. New hockey sucks, it's not on basic cable, and half they players I knew well around 2000 have retired.

^ I highly doubt it. They're getting Acrophobia this year, and still are a strong park. Quite frankly, I don't think many people care about Frontier City that much.

My rant: Why does Barnes & Noble suck so much compared to Borders?!? They have a crappier selection of books and music, charge a ton for both, and unlike Borders, you can only listen to a 30-second segment of songs, and only a few at that. In Borders, you can listen to all of all songs.

I've always wondered about Frontier City... why were SF season passes not valid at this park, but valid at every other major park. Also... NOOO!!! Not Wyandot! I loved that park! It wasmy home park before I rode coasters, I loved to go there when visiting the Columbus Zoo.
