  1. Last train of the night on The Beast yesterday. I've had a couple night rides on it during Coasterstock last year, and it didn't wow me (compared to night rides on Voyage)... but something was vastly different last night that made it 20x better. Can't quite put my finger on what it was, but I think I finally get why it's so celebrated. Pretty awesome.
  2. ^I think switching 2018 and 2019 would be more realistic, and replacing "Gerstlauer" spinner with "Zamperla" spinner would make MUCh more sense, considering Gerstlauer look much more expensive... but as Dan had already mentioned I won't pretend to know how to run an amusement park, but I assume being slow and steady with ride implementation would be best while they continue to work on other aspects of the park that need immediate attention. It's incredibly refreshing hearing from Dan about the park. I'm also greatly looking forward to new improvements and happenings for the park, and wish you the guys the best in running it! I hope to get down there at some point to at least ride Rampage.
  3. I'm shocked no one's posted a reply yet, but that's pretty darn creative use of the scenery! If only water parks were in the game (praying hard that it comes in the future).
  4. Each coaster has a little clicker near most of the operators where they push a button repeatedly for the amount of people on every train. Voyage has it towards the front of the station where the train exits, and I think the same goes for Legend and Raven.
  5. There used to be a lot of Chance Chaos's. Including one at my home park. But now the only one I can think of in the U.S. that's still running is at Adventuredome in Las Vegas. I'm sure there's a couple more, but there's so few of them now compared to before.
  6. How about endangered? I wish a couple more S&S Sky Swats, Chance Chaos, and Bussink Evolutions (Xcalibur at Six Flags St. Louis) were planted (or still operating) in more parks.
  7. It's starting to circulate around places. I'm assuming the news is very recent. Instagram tells me Storm Chaser is running today as well.
  8. Relative to every other seat, yes. I still ride it when I get the chance, but only in the last two rows. If you guys rode any of the front seats... I feel especially sorry for you!
  9. Some great news! A small update came out for it, and they unlocked the ability to bend track more freely! Even upside down! First thing I tried out after booting the game!
  10. This summer I started with every other week, but in the past few weeks I managed to hit either Kentucky Kingdom or Holiday World once per week. Need to cool down before I get bored of them!
  11. I've Newtonized most of my coasters since NoLimits 1 (with no shame to it, mind-you). It takes some fiddling and a lot of trial and error to get what you want, but it can be done for NoLimits 2 as well (i.e. My latest, , was Newtonized). It can be discouraging due to complexity in calculating, exporting track sections as separate pieces, making sure they're not too large/small/short/long, etc, but that's with building almost any coaster in NoLimits. There's a plethora of YouTube videos you can pour yourself into to get familiar with using that program, or probably almost any other program for smoother NL2 coasters.
  12. There's a lovely button that says "Download This List." It does just that (includes lap count and rankings) to a clean spreadsheet to save on your computer. First time I've ever clicked that button, and probably not my last!
  13. In the time Coaster Counter was tanked, I stopped caring about logging how many times I've ridden a coaster. I cared more about just enjoying the experiences on the coasters and knowing that I could stop at any moment and still be satisfied without needing to hit a certain number. Then just earlier today, I saw that they fixed it, and I went to guesstimating how many times i've ridden some coasters in the past few weeks... as well as export my list in case it does it again. Oh well! ----- And not to spur off topic too much from today's tragedy, I've been pretty sickened for most of the day from waking up and hearing the news as well. Terrible, terrible event that I hope never occurs again. Wishing safety to all of those in Florida, especially Orlando, and sending my thoughts and condolences to those affected by this.
  14. Let's just say, I wish EVERY roller coaster in the world had a theme song as epic as ...
  15. I had not been keeping up with this game at all, but upon my usual browsing of YouTube I stumbled upon a video series focusing on updates the game had been doing. This video on Update #6 of the game was put out just a few days ago. Here's a snippet from the full-detailed Update #6 devlog posted: I'll open it again once I'm back at my desktop tomorrow. Had anyone here opened the game recently and noticed?
  16. If there was one major thing I'd hope the park would look into investing for the next few years, it would be purchasing more rafts for the Rapids River ride (and I guess eventually staffing more people to handle the larger volume). Often there were periods when only one raft was in the station and the rest were out on the course. A full queue for it looked to be over an hour wait (luckily it's partly shaded with fans, but not worth standing in 90+ degree weather like yesterday). It's hard to count how many rafts are actually running on the ride, but it looked like 5, 6, or 7. I found a photo where there were probably at least 13 rafts at one point during the Six Flags days. Most of these raft rides were built to be people-eaters, so hopefully they can get up to something similar to this in the upcoming years.
  17. Yes! This is the new speed that's made it so much more awesome! Then Mind Eraser must be hell incarnate, because T3 made Thunderhawk look like a stroll in the park! (Except, without any actual head banging - just constant shaking!) Why I only ever sit in the very back of the train, last two rows are safer seats. The rest... Eh.
  18. No groups of teenagers will ever pass that area without pointing it out. Glad to hear you had such a positive experience at the park, and great pictures! I look forward to seeing more trip reportage from you from the other parks!
  19. There's a new cheat in Alpha two that lets you walk around like a guest. Go to scenery/buildings, open the search bar, and type: Tegidcam
  20. Made a surprise discovery that the park offered photo fun passes of the two coasters that offered onride photos. Not really worth the steep price, but figured myself and some family members I know could get some good uses out of it in the future. (Photo was super-underexposed thanks to it being the afternoon, so the one below I brightened myself.) You bring a card/barcode with you to the park and scan it when you want to download the photo later.
  21. Let them know "yes," it's been a monsoon this weekend!
  22. Not sure, but I came to the coaster Friday afternoon (pre-Holiwood Nights) to see that the purple train had to do an e-vac. The coaster wasn't open the rest of the time I was at the park. I'm not seeing it listed as being down on the website now.
  23. I was at the park Monday as well. Spent 2.5 hours there that morning then left to go celebrate Memorial Day with family. The season pass processing line was HUGE! Lots of folks getting in the $60 price before it goes up in less than a week. The park itself was also pretty busy, especially the water park. Lines weren't too horrid, though. LR ran 2 trains and had a roughly 25-30 minute wait with the line stretching near to the entrance of the queue. Thunder Run 's line didn't come out of the station, making for a 15 minute wait for front row. Last note, the difference between the speed of SC on first week versus now is incredible! Each time I went back to the park, the coaster gained a little more speed. It now FLIES through the course! If you shot a new POV of it now and compared to media day POV's, you would easily see the difference, especially in the finale!
  24. The smoother tool in the game improved so much, it's incredible. Now they just need to unlock the ability to curve track in any direction you want. The restrictions feel a bit pointless. I'm not done theming it yet, but I'm very happy with how the layout turned up.
