  1. As usual a very entertaining TR, Chuck. Glad you enjoyed your visit. Your top 5 coasters just happen to be my top 5 in the same exact order. While I try and ride all the coasters when I visit, those 5 are the only ones I really go out of my way to re-ride as much as possible. Also on Phantom's Revenge, I agree it's a very deceptive coaster. ...In a good way. Actually, it's my #1 favorite steel coaster since Superman up at SFNE changed over to Bizarro.
  2. That's how it is for just about any amusement park in the world, with SFNE being no exception. It's always the first thing I say when giving advice about any park. ...GET THERE EARLY, before opening if possible.
  3. Yea, this video really makes me miss Hypersonic XLC's launch and top hat. The rest of the ride not so much. After all these years, Hypersonic still has/had the best launch here in the states. ...And it's not even close to the acceleration of Dodonpa. Thanks for the awesome POV, Robb.
  4. Thanks for the food report, Adam. The E-ticket rides like Transformers and Forbidden Journey are great, but it's additions like Springfield that really makes the park. ...Really brings it all together, feels more complete.
  5. ^The funny thing is SFGAdv had their own Ultra Twister nearly a decade before Viper. I remember as a kid that coaster having a good 1-2 hour wait in its short history at the park before moving to Astroworld..
  6. And from what I hear we can add another major project to that list any day now. Yes, more construction is coming.
  7. Is it too early to say Falcon's Fury? Right now I would have to say TOT at DHS. ...With honorable mention going to the late Sonic Boom.
  8. As a whole, Inverts. ...Followed by the Dive coasters. With that said, I still think my favorite individual B&M is actually a standard sit down. Here's how I would rank them. 1. Inverts 2. Dive coaster 3. Hypers 4. Sitting coaster 5. Floorless 6. Flying 7. Wing 8. Stand-up
  9. ^Let's be honest, those robots down at Universal have nothing on these guys.
  10. ^^Yea, I've been on both and didn't notice any differences with the ride itself. Also, while the queues aren't exactly the same, there's really not enough to say one is better than the other. ...Though I do give the edge to Orlando's version on outside theming.
  11. ^No, but the trilogy made a crap load of $$$$money$$$$. Great job, Adam. Thanks for covering the opening today and the pics last night .
  12. Well, it took long enough but 2013 has finally hit its stride in the world of movies. Iron Man 3: Still my favorite superhero character to date. Grade: A Star Trek: Excellent movie!!! The last 2 movies along with II and IV are my all time favorites in the series. Now if JJ can bring new life to Star Wars, he'll be a God. lol. Grade: A Fast & Furious 6: Is it me or are these movies becoming more enjoyable as they go? Well, at least the last three have each gotten better. Grade: B+ Man of Steel: Well done and definitely the best since Superman II. As far as my favorites go, I would put this just behind the The Avengers, Iron Man, and The Dark Knight in that order. Grade: A- The last 6 weeks have been a real treat for the sci-fi/superhero fan like myself.
  13. The Incredible Hulk on Tuesday morning after SP previews for Transformers.
  14. For me it has to be the roar of Kumba and the El Toro fart. ...I never thought a fart could sound so good.
  15. This!!! I also want to add that this is probably the next best thing to another Intamin coaster that Busch could have come up with.
  16. Updated list since I posted last November. Early May: Busch Gardens Williamsburg Kings Dominion Go-Karts Plus (Williamsburg) Family Kingdom Early June: Fun Spot America (Orlando) Lake Winnie Dollywood Fun Spot (Pigeon Forge) NASCAR Speedpark Santa's Land Carowinds SFOG Wild Adventures August: Wild Waves Theme park Oaks Amusement Park Enchanted Forest Playland (Vancouver) Season Pass: USF/IOA, SWO, BGT, and WDW
  17. Goliath at SFOG this afternoon. ...Still the best B&M hyper in the US. ...Every coaster was a walk-on all day due to the weather forecast. As of 5pm, no rain. lol
  18. Just a heads up for SP holders. Transformers' previews will be from June 9th-June 16th, 8:00am-9:00am. They will also have HRRR open during that time.
  19. Just got back from Seaworld and my first ever ride on Empire of the Penguin. Overall, I think the whole area is a very nice addition to the park, but for me not really worth more than a 10 minute wait for the ride itself. ...And definitely not worth the 2 1/2 hour wait by 10:30 this morning. Luckily, I had a front of the line pass being a SP holder. Otherwise, I probably would have just waited till the fall to ride. On the other hand, I did have 4 walk-ons on Manta and 6 walk-ons on Kraken by 10:15. Thanks, Antarctica.
  20. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom this past Tuesday.
  21. I'm not sure about a B&M themed to Transformers, but I do remember reading about a mega coaster being one of the many rumored projects for the possible Jurassic Park expansion. ...Though I wouldn't hold my breath on that happening.
  22. I would have to say Kumba around 200 times, with ROTM at USF being second at around 150. Now if I was to add Dueling Dragons' Fire and Ice together, it would probably be #2.
  23. ^At least they're still in the SF chain. ...Superman & Joker's Jinx.
  24. Can't really argue with any of those choices for coolest coasters. Heck, anytime you have the majority of coasters being Intamin and you throw in Kumba to boot, you'll get a thumbs up by me.
