  1. Holy crap!!! Now we just need a giant octopus to go with that mega shark.
  2. Perhaps it's from the many years of riding coasters, but very few B&Ms do anything for me at this point. While I still really enjoy the older ones, I definitely don't plan any trips around any of the newer ones. I figure eventually I'll get on the newer B&Ms when an Intamin or RMC is built nearby. Oh well, I've accepted that it's just the way it is at this point. Back to Carowinds, I'm really hoping it's not another B&M wing coaster. ...but that's just me.
  3. For me, 1a. Goliath- SFGAM 1b. Medusa- SF Mexico 3. Gringott's- USF 4. Falcon's Fury- BGT 5. Zumanjaro- SFGAdv ...I'm also still waiting to see if Darien Lake will announce Lake Monster. If so, it will probably go with Goliath and Medusa as my #1.
  4. You're in for a treat when you do finally ride Coaster at Playland. Just like Timber Terror, looks can be deceiving. It's just a real fun coaster with some crazy airtime. I also agree that Silverwood has some of the best wood coasters around. I actually have Coaster, Tremors, and Timber Terror in my top 10, having been on most of the woodies here in the US/Canada.
  5. I was on it this past Saturday and it was braked at the end, which definitely made it crawl around the last curve. ...Even with that, it's still a fun little coaster.
  6. I would focus more on Elissa's quote below rather than her 1-4 ranking.
  7. ...so true. After Harry part 2, we have Jurassic and the Disaster redo to look forward to in 2015.
  8. I would LOVE to get an Intamin launch coaster myself, but let's not forget that SFOG from top to bottom still has a good collection of coasters.
  9. Big Timber Log Ride at Enchanted Forest, yesterday. I really enjoyed my short visit to this small local family park. If in the area, I truly recommend stopping in for a visit to this charming little park.
  10. Ugh, are we back to it possibly being another B&M wing coaster here in the US.
  11. It would definitely be a convenient way to close it early. I say just put Gwazi out of its misery already and give me an Intamin Prefab.
  12. ^Really, refurbing Ride of Steel's train in the middle of the summer??? If that's even remotely true, it's really unacceptable for the crown jewel ride of the park. As far as ride maintenance goes, it should be the #1 priority to have their best ride running at full capacity as much as possible. ...Especially throughout the summer season.
  13. ...Big fan of Fahrenheit too. I think the trio of Intamins at Hershey definitely rival the big three at Cedar Point.
  14. If we're hoping for an Invert, my vote goes with something big and powerful like Katun.
  15. If being a little too short is the only complaint, I'll take that any day of the week. ...It's much better than being boring or rough.
  16. Agreed!!! They should have just kept it simple. Just rehab the trains, give the track/supports a fresh coat of red and blue, have mist in the tunnels, and audio (Superman theme song) only on the lift hill (speakers on the railings, NOT on the trains). That would have been much simpler and a whole heck of a lot better in my mind. Why screw with what was the best steel coaster in the US?
  17. I say just slap on some Millennium Force seatbelts and call it a day.
  18. Gold Striker looks really good in that POV. It kind of reminds me of Thunderhead with how relentless it is through the whole course. I have to say that CGA definitely looks like it has a real good 1-2 punch now with Gold Striker and Flight Deck.
  19. Very jealous!!! I probably would have camped out at Bizarro for most of that day. Then again, I only get to the park once every 3 or 4 years, so I try and ride Bizarro as much as possible when I do go.
  20. Exactly what Elissa said, at this point just expect a little more rain than usual. The storm isn't even that organized at the moment. These parks down here handle this kind of weather as well as anyone. We're used to it.
