  1. Yea, I'm hoping RMC comes in and does some work on Cyclone. I actually enjoy Cyclone now, but only in the magic row. But if RMC was to come in, I'm pretty confident they can turn it into a top 20 coaster again.
  2. It's close between the 2 coasters. While I love the helix and 2 bunny hills at the end of Nitro, I could almost fall asleep on the first half of the coaster. ...very average. While Apollo I feel is slightly above average for most of the ride. Both are good coasters IMO, but not top 25 worthy. I think Goliath (SFOG) and Diamondback are both better, while Raging Bull and Intimidator bring up the rear when it comes to the U.S. B&M hypers.
  3. Based on the announcements so far it would have to be Lightning Rod, Storm Chaser, and the Joker coaster at SFDK.
  4. I really like what they are doing with SFOG over the last couple years. Right now this park and SFFT are my 2 favorites in the chain.
  5. I just hope they can do something with Lost Coaster because I still need the credit.
  6. I think the new coaster is a nice addition to the park. If the line is a concern for you, then I would take Larry's advice and get there at opening and ride it first. That's what I did with Batman at SFFT back in June and was on the ride in about 10 minutes. ...Then I went and rode Iron Rattler over and over again.
  7. LOVE IT!!!!! I can't wait to ride next year.
  8. ^It would be the second best coaster in the park by a wide margin.
  9. I can't stress enough to do the preview on Sunday if you can. ...for Hershey crowds it just doesn't get any better.
  10. Wow, I must have just missed this by about 5 minutes. I took one last ride on Raptor before leaving the park at 5 pm. ...Just wow.
  11. ^Actually, I did enjoy Thunder Run. It's what I wish the Hurler coasters were. ...Fun, not too rough, with actual pops of air. Heck, I even rode in the last car, though it was the front of the car. You would never catch me doing that on either Hurler.
  12. Especially when they also have a kick ass coaster in Lightning Run. By this time next year Kentucky Kingdom will have one of the best one-two punches in the whole country.
  13. Two coasters I've been on this year that immediately come to mind are Titan at SFOT and Colossus The Fire Dragon at Lagoon. Both are very underrated IMO.
  14. I personally think the Dive coasters are B&M 2nd best coaster type, with the Inverts being the best of course. So if Cedar Point is getting another B&M, I'll gladly take a Dive coaster. Then again, what other options does CP have with B&M? ...Flying.
  15. Here are a few of my bigger trips from 2014/2015 Last year I did a trip from Florida up through Ocean City, MD to Hershey, Dorney, Knoebels, DelGrosso, Idlewild, Lakemont, and Kennywood. Then headed back down through WV hitting Camden Park and down through Atlanta to central Florida. With a few other stops along the way it made the trip around 2800 miles in 10 days. Last month I did a trip that included Texas, Arkansas, Southern Missouri, and Oklahoma. I visited SFFT, SWSA, SFOT, Magic Springs, Silver Dollar City, and Frontier City in a week. Not sure, but I think the total mileage was around 1900 miles in the 8 days. I'm also doing a round trip in August starting and finishing at the Cincinnati/Kentucky airport. I'll be hitting Kings Island, Strickers Grove, Kentucky Kingdom, Holiday World, Indiana Beach, Cedar Point, and Colombus Zoo. I think the total miles with parks, hotels, and other stops along the way will be around 1800-1900 miles or so. This is also a 8 day trip.
  16. I've been on every B&M invert in the U.S., except for Banshee. I'll be riding that next month. 1. Dueling Dragons 2. Montu 3. Batman clones/Great White/Goliath 4. Flight Deck-CGA 5. Afterburn 6. Alpengeist 7. Talon 8. Raptor 9. Great Bear 10. Patriot 11. Silver Bullet
  17. If they were to go with a B&M, my first choice would be an invert. ...still the best type B&M has to offer.
  18. So many people says it has no airtime whatsoever, but what I noticed riding Intimidator 232 is that it's filled with floater air while Fury 325 has three really big pops of ejector air. Intimidator does have some floater air, but the ride just doesn't seem to do much of anything else. It's not a bad ride, I just find it to be the weakest of the B&M hypers and a little boring. Just for the record, I also find the first half of Nitro to be a little underwhelming , but really enjoy the helix and 2 bunny hills at the end.
  19. ^ I really did like the layout of Raging Bull, but the trims did kill a good amount of the fun factor. As is, I still have it ranked ahead of Intimidator 232.
  20. ^^Honestly, you're not missing much with Intimidator 232. Not to bash the coaster too much, but I found it to be somewhat boring in my 2 visits since it opened. I would rank it last out of all the B&M hypers in the US and I've been on all of them in the last couple years. If we are talking about which kind of B&M hyper would be best for KD, my vote goes to one similar to Goliath at SFOG. ^Of course, getting an Intamin Prefab would trump all B&Ms.
  21. Probably Kings Island in a couple weeks. June, July, and the first half of August is the time of the year I visit parks outside central Florida.
  22. Not counting the alpine coasters at Park City and Snowbird, it would have to be this gem at Lagoon yesterday. Photo courtesy of coaster27
  23. I was able to get 2 rides in on Cannibal yesterday and was very impressed overall. Probably not in my top 10, but still very very good. I got lucky getting the first row both times, far right and far left. When all is said and done, it'll probably fall into the 15-25 range on my steel coaster list. ...Not bad considering I've been on over 400 steel coasters. I must say Lagoon definitely has a winner on their hands. Also, I was very impressed with Lagoon's overall operations on the rides. Very efficient with 2 or more trains on ALL the coasters. Outside of Cannibal, not one coaster was more than a 15-20 minute wait. This was my second visit to the park, first being Wicked's opening year, and I looked forward to returning again in the future.
  24. Disney: Disneyland Universal: IOA/USF (tie) Cedar Fair: Cedar Point Herschend: Silver Dollar City SeaWorld: Busch Gardens Tampa Independent: Hershey Park Six Flags: SFFT, SFOG, SFSt.L, SFGAm, and SFGAdv (tie) ...I couldn't name just one SF park, so these are my top parks in the chain.
