  1. ^No. It was a full dragon head and yellow fiberglass pieces. They were completely yellow, no other colors. I actually went on again to make sure it wasn't the pieces from the current dragons, and it definitely wasn't. Edit: The pieces I saw where in that general area though.
  2. ^Not to harp on this, but the dark red font is really hard to read. ...Could you please use the default yellow?
  3. Just curious, has anyone been on Dueling Dragons this week? I was riding it yesterday and noticed some fiberglass pieces sitting to the side of the lift hill. It appeared to be a red dragon head and a lot of yellow pieces stacked neatly in a row. ...Maybe wheel covers? Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any pictures because you can only see them leaving the station on the Fire train. I'm guessing they are for the re-theme, but wanted to see if anyone else had some thoughts.
  4. I remember seeing pictures of the proposed layout, but this is the first time seeing a POV. ...Looks like a pretty good layout for a junior coaster. Thanks for the link, Robb.
  5. ^Yea, even a support that's temporary needs a footer. Just look how muddy the ground is around the construction site.
  6. Just finished my ballot. Top 10: 1. El Toro 2. My favorite steel (Bizarro @ SFNE) 3. Phoenix 4. Ravine Flyer II 5. Boulder Dash 6. Tremors 7. Timber Terror 8. Thunderhead 9. Lightning Racer-T 10. Lightning Racer-L 11. D.B. Hurricane Bottom 5: (counting down to my worst) Cyclone (SFNE) Rolling Thunder (SF GAdv) Grizzly (CGA) Wildcat (Lake Compounce) Predator (Darien Lake)
  7. I figured they were moving it, since the webcam was down when I tried viewing it yesterday.
  8. ^...Not to mention causing a few heart attacks along the way.
  9. It's that time of the year again. At least this will be the easier ballot of the two for me. ...That steel one is going to be a pain in the butt.
  10. I'm really liking the new trains. Well, at least I think I am. ...My final verdict will come when I ride The Voyage in June.
  11. Thanks for posting the pics. I always enjoy FlyinPhil's aerial shots, and look forward to seeing the changes to both parks in the off-season. Also, El Toro looks just as good from the air as it does from the ground.
  12. I have to agree, that red track is looking pretty nice there.
  13. ^Well, at least you have a new Intamin to occupy your time next year at KD.
  14. I have Storm Runner is my top 10 too. If I actually made a list, it would probably be #6 or #7 right now.
  15. I have to say that I like this paint job a lot better than the one up in Massachusetts. Now hopefully they will focus on the red train.
  16. I have to say that I'm really looking forward to this coaster, now that I know it has a similar layout to Wicked. Having been on Wicked the year it opened, I found it to be a very good addition to Lagoon. ...Especially for its size. If it wasn't for the mcbr making the last 1/3 of the ride slow as hell, it would be in my top 20. Still, the first 2/3 of the ride kicks butt.
  17. What about the Drop and Eiffel Towers? I believe both are pretty close to I305 height. Even so, it will still look very impressive.
  18. Very interesting, I'm heading to BGT this Tuesday and the Lowry Zoo on the 17th. I'll be sure to look, but I'm sure someone will beat me to both of them.
  19. Just my luck, I was on I-4 that day. I figured something was up when the exits on both sides were backed up all the way down I-4.
  20. Damn you Miami Dolphins!!! Talk about Jekyll and Hyde.
  21. ^Don't even get me going on that. I just wish they could have done Harry Potter without involving Dueling Dragons. Oh well. Still, I'm really looking forward to the new dark ride and I'm really liking the look of the castle. ...Especially in person.
  22. I'm going to continue the Kumba love and say it's tied for my favorite B&M along with Dueling Dragons. I agree that night rides are great, but so are the rides first thing in the morning. It's my own personal ERT the first hour the park is open.
  23. I guess it will probably be Manta sometime in the middle of December. Though I still have visits to BGT and DHS to look forward to in November and early December.
  24. That first drop is looking very impressive. Thanks for the pics Jeff, nicely done.
