  1. Thanks for the pics, Adam. I think I will head over to IOA on Tuesday to get my last rides in on Dueling Dragons. ...Dragon's Challenge is rapidly approaching. I'm looking forward to the new Harry Potter island, but not the retheming of Dueling Dragons.
  2. ^ I'm sure there will be some kind of technical rehearsal/soft opening, if the "official" opening date is May 28th. ...So that would give them their buffer.
  3. ^Actually, my 100% operational response was for Harry Potter, not the other rides in the park. I've always found early May to be a great time to go in regards to small crowds and open rides. But with no official date yet for Harry potter, the fall may just be a safer time to go.
  4. ^...Not to mention August being a peak month too.
  5. ^I don't know about anyone else, but I would consider a Storm Runner or Maverick type ride to be a pretty big project. ...We shall see. With that said, I'm really hoping for something that doesn't have over the shoulder restraints, so an Intamin or B&M hyper/mega would definitely be my first choice. But first, let's just make sure we're getting a coaster.
  6. ^Early May is also good, but we're not 100% sure when Harry Potter will open. While I think it will be open by then, I'm not so sure if everything will be a 100% operational at that time. ...But it's definitely another option.
  7. I'm not sure if it was on here or maybe Screamscape, but I remember reading that the Busch people were very interested in Storm Runner up at Hershey park. So if it was to be an Intamin, I'm thinking it'll be more like Storm Runner or Maverick than Bizarro or ROS.
  8. With Harry Potter coming, I would definitely wait till late fall. ...after HHN and before Thanksgiving. Still, I'm sure the crowds will be a little heavier no matter what time of the year you go in 2010. Edit: If the first two weeks in November aren't good for you, then late September or early December may be your next best options.
  9. I'm going to think outside the box too and go with a possible replacement for BBW. Not necessarily where the final big drop was, but more like where the S-turn was running parallel with the bridge. Maybe part of a new themed country, say Spain? ...Though I wouldn't put any money on that.
  10. Right now they seem to be running both trains continuously. I watched each train cycle a couple of times, with one train leaving the station as the other was reaching the brake run at the end.
  11. No, TOGO. They're making a comeback. BTW, the animated film was funny as hell. The only two words I understood were information and roller coaster.
  12. Yea, at this point I'm more interested in what the restraints look like rather than the actual testing of the trains. ...I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
  13. Really??? For the record, having been on all but one of them, I have to say that Bizarro is head and shoulders above the rest. Not to mention, only two of them are even in my top 10 US coasters. ...Bizarro #1 and MF #7, with Montu coming in 3rd at #11.
  14. ^^Sometimes it takes 10 or 15 minutes to get the info up on the website. I'm sure it will be up very soon.
  15. ^Yea, I was looking through those pics yesterday. The guys over at Orlando United did a heck of a job. After looking at them, I'm even more convinced that April would be the earliest the new Potter land would open up to the general public.
  16. My votes go to Electerik, smallish, and WillMontu. ...Great stuff, guys.
  17. If anyone is interested in a sneak peek of the Universal/Harry Potter commercial, the link is below at AOL Video. http://bit.ly/brBG7B
  18. Another 14/20, which is still a passing grade.
  19. Well, I stand corrected about it being just a misunderstanding. ....EPIC FAIL SFMM!!!
  20. ...But at least they are now tied with Cedar Point for the most coasters in one park. I have to think this is just a misunderstanding, and I'm sure it'll all get straightened out today.
  21. Has anyone mentioned Kings Island. ...GREAT WOLF LODGE.
  22. I'm happy to see that Demon Drop isn't going to the big scrap heap in the sky. Other than Sonic Boom, these first generation free fall rides are definitely my favorites.
  23. That's good, since those were the only redeeming qualities of Cypress Gardens. ...Though Starliner wasn't that bad.
