  1. While I don't agree with all of the picks, as a whole they're not too bad.
  2. ^LOL!!! I'm sorry, but that just made my day.
  3. According to Screamscape, a possible announcement about a deal with Blackstone and the Busch parks could happen within the week.
  4. ...Dueling Dragons-Fire, last row a couple of hours ago. I was also able to get a front row ride on Rip Ride Rockit' within the first 10 minutes of opening.
  5. ^I haven't, but it did pretty good over the first weekend of release.
  6. ^...And no one would ever know.
  7. Just curious, am I the only one who has a hard time putting my favorite steel coasters in some kind of order? Bizarro at SFNE is a clear cut #1 for me, but after that I have a hard time picking the order, even my top 5 or 10. ...Now my wooden top 10 is not a problem. ^I actually find Ride of Steel to be a very good ride. While I don't have it ahead of Bizarro or El Toro, it's still cemented in my top 5.
  8. ^Good news, hopefully we can start to focus on this beauty being built instead of comparing the two Intimidator.
  9. I agree, but just let it go DBru. You're never going to change their minds. On a side note, I also remember reading on other sites how boring El Toro looked when it was first announced. ...And we all know how that turned out. Hopefully this Intamin will be just as good. Intimidator 305 has AT LEAST 6 airtime hills/spots (NOT including what very well may be the most ridiculous first drop EVER) and some ridiculous banked turns/S curves. Just for a comparison, it is 700 ft longer than El Toro, 124' taller (124' bigger drop), with a 9 degree STEEPER drop (85 vs 76) at least 23mph FASTER than El Toro (93+ vs 70). Oh, and it still has roughly the same amount of airtime spots (could even have more). So to recount, Intimidator 305 is TALLER, FASTER, has JUST as much airtime spots (if not more), has a STEEPER drop, and longer layout than El Toro, and it is likely that the OTSR will be minimal and comfortable. So how exactly is that supposed to be unimpressive? Hell, the fact that it could have the BEST first drop EVER should make it automatically more exciting than anything B&M. Where did I say it's unimpressive? All I said was that some people were calling El Toro's layout boring too, when it first was announced. Of course, it ended up being a kick arse ride and I'm hoping I305 will follow suit. ...That is another great Intamin. ...So next time please don't be so quick to jump to conclusions, because you're giving us Intamin fanboys a bad name.

  11. LOL, that was great. At least she noticed before getting back into the station.

  13. Great TR so far. That is definitely an angle of Tony Hawk I never seen before. Also, I can't believe how many smiling faces there were in your Kong photos. Kong is evil. The rest of SFDK rules!!!
  14. I couldn't agree more. Though if I have to settle for B&M hyper at BGT, I won't be totally disappointed.
  15. ^Yea, it's pretty sad when only two opening day starters are currently in the everyday line-up.
  16. Having just been to the park myself last week, I have to say that Discovery Kingdom is definitely one of the hidden gems in the Six Flags chain. I definitely look forward to seeing your Day 2 TR.
  17. Yea, here's another annual passholder without this list.
  18. It's very interesting reading the responses in this thread versus the ones in the Kings Dominion thread. As for me, I'm looking forward to both rides.
  19. While I can't chime in on the comparison of the two coasters, I can say that the Santa Cruz Giant Dipper is a lot of fun. Maybe not in my top 10, but definitely in my top 20. ...Oh and you really can't beat the location on the boardwalk near the water.
  20. They seem to be a big improvement over the ones on Maverick. When I heard about the new coaster the only thing that concerned me was the OTSR. I just remember riding Maverick back in June and thinking this would easily be my #1 or #2 if it wasn't for these restraints. Now that we know exactly the kind we're getting, I'm more excited than ever about this new Intamin coaster.
  21. I agree that the Rockit' DVD is definitely not worth it. They could have at least given you an entire POV of the ride. Just proves how much of a deal the TPR videos really are.
  22. I really enjoyed District 9 and it's probably my second favorite movie of 2009 so far. ...Star Trek is still my favorite this year. District 9 Grade: A-
