  1. Boy, you really get around. BTW, how forceful is the helix at the end?
  2. OMG, where did the snow go? When did they plant grass? LOL, nicely done guys.
  3. I don't know, it's a very fine line in football. Too much rest can throw off timing, that killer instinct, and that knack of winning the close games. Not to mention most athletes are creatures of habit, especially Peyton. Whether they won or lost yesterday, there's going to be a lot of pressure on this team in the playoff. ...Because it's Peyton Manning. I just don't think it a good thing anytime you lose, resting players or not. Also, while I think the teams with bye weeks have an advantage, so do the teams going into the playoffs hot. Just ask teams like the Ravens, Steelers, and Giants, who all got hot in December and rode it right to a Super Bowl victory. I know you can make an argument that teams with byes win the Super Bowls more than the non-bye teams, but it is the Colts we are talking about. I don't think it was a coincidence that the one year they won it, they had to play till the end of the season. With that said, I guess we'll see how it goes. Right now, I have to go with the hot teams, and that means SD, NE, Philly, and Dallas.
  4. Last week I worked 10 hours Christmas Eve and then went back in at 1am Christmas night and worked another 12 1/2 hours Saturday. Today I went in at 1am and will be going in 1am every other day this week except for Wednesday. Yes, that includes New Years Eve/night. ...So yea I'm working this week.
  5. I'm not sure this was a good idea by Caldwell. While I agree "rest" is a good thing, too much rest can actually have a negative effect. I can understand doing this in the last game of the season against the Bills, but doing it in week 16 is a little much in my opinion. And momentum does play a role in football, so by doing this, you do risk possibly losing it. Also remember this isn't the first time Indy has been in this situation and how did that turn out the last time? For the record, I'm a Dolphins fan and I think they should have went for the undefeated season.
  6. Looking at the early results, no real big surprises in my opinion. The one thing that does stand out though, is how good Intamin really is in making kick arse rides. Not only do they have a bunch of coasters ranked in the steel top 10, but to have three woodies in the top 6 is very impressive. ...No wonder they're my favorite. Also, I want to say congrats to GG for having three woodies in the top 10.
  7. I couldn't agree more. ...I went to see Avatar in IMAX 3-D today and was completely blown away by the effects. While I wouldn't put it ahead of Star Trek as my favorite of 2009, it definitely deserves to be in my top 3.
  8. Looks like the B&M Hyper talk has started up again for BGT. Let's hope it happens. ...or how about Intamin. Also, I'm still holding out hope that somehow the Ozark Wildcat ends up at Wild Adventures. While I wouldn't put any money on it, I'm still hoping.
  9. Two thumbs up for Tokyo Disney and Lizzie McGuire. ...Definitely one of my favorite videos so far.
  10. Yea, it looks like they're really moving along now. With the snow on the ground, I definitely have an easier time making out the new track being put up. I think the white (snowy) background makes it a lot easier to see versus the dirt/mud.
  11. Nicely done on the pics, thanks for posting them. I just checked out the webcam, and it looks like the final few pieces are now in place.
  12. Yea, that's the angle I was talking about a couple of weeks ago. ...Looks good.
  13. ^^Just finished the new survey. They seemed to ask mostly about certain movie/TV characters. The ones asked about in my survey were Luke Skywalker, Jack Sparrow, the M&Ms characters, BeetleJuice, and Harry Potter. ...Though all the themes/characters you listed were asked in a question or two.
  14. I agree that translations do sometimes get lost, so I'm going to wait and see on this one.
  15. Those two cents actually makes a lot of sense.
  16. Nothing set in stone yet, but here's my plans as of now. MK, DHS, DAK, EPCOT, IOA, USF, and BGT season passes. Random dates Boomers! Uncle Bernie's Lowry Zoo Old Town Fun Spot MAY SFOG JUNE SFKK Beech Bend Kings Island Indiana Beach Holiday World August Morey's Pier Dorney Park Hershey Park Knoebels Quassy Lake Compounce SFNE The Great Escape SF Great Adventure
  17. Looks like they have changed the cam angle at the construction site. I guess now we'll get a better look as they come down the homestretch in the coaster track phase of construction. Edit: False alarm on the cam. It looks like they are back to the old angle for the time being.
  18. I'm not 100% sure yet, but it will be sometime in January. I'm guessing it will probably be either IOA or one of the Disney parks.
  19. Congrats to Kings Dominion on the topping off. ...It's only down hill from here.
  20. Agreed, I don't see the ride being down till sometime in early 2010. If you get to DD early, you should be able to get a few re-rides in with hardly any wait. Last Tuesday I was able to ride each side 3 times in about 45 minutes, that includes 2 times in the front on Ice.
  21. That's the thing, it comes down to personal preference. In my opinion, Bizarro and Boulder Dash are great coasters (top 3), while Griffon, Apollo, Alpengeist, and Dominator are all very good. ...Just not top 10. As for the rest of the coasters, some are good and others not so good. Again it just comes down to personal preference.
  22. I've always believed in quality over quantity, and it doesn't get much better than Bizarro and Boulder Dash. Though throwing another Intamin into the equation at KD, along with BGW easily being the best park of the four, does make for a much more difficult decision.
  23. It definitely would be more convenient, but not really a necessity at this point. ...Especially with the flashpass option.
  24. I wish you luck, shepp. In my opinion after the first time on it, the ride isn't worth more than a 15 minute wait. ...And that's coming from a Universal fanboy.
  25. Nice, only a couple of track pieces to go for the lift hill.
