Exactly. Places where space is at a premium or the resort destination distinction can dictate charging for parking. Some Days Inn in podunk Indiana will never charge for parking.

Universal Hotels charge for parking, the big resort hotels in Orlando charge for parking, I see it as a sign of the times unfortunately. There's a lot of discussion about parking and 'hotel fees', but for now they seem to be getting worse, not better.

I think the small amount of people complaining that it's slow are doing so because they wanted a more thrilling ride which is NOT what SDC wants. They're a family park first, and the ride has to at least appeal to a goodly amount of people. The spinning is already going to put people off, but the slower controlled nature of the ride may make more people comfortable with riding. Also, it was in the 30's this morning while all of this filming was happening...the ride could certainly speed up during the summer!

Exactly my thinking! They will be a well oiled machine by late summer!

^It's been quite a few years since we visited that park. We would hire a guide to buy our tickets before hand so we were ready to go. As for tips for being in China, perhaps go through some of our old trip reports. Very different culture, especially at the parks.

Everyone keeps saying how great it is for little kids...keep in mind it has a 48" height requirement!!!! That's the same as Millennium Force.

I'm trying to think more positively today...how about this...what if this is a prototype for the Mario Kart ride at Universal? I can't be the only one who sees the karts spin out and think about that they must have just hit a banana peel right!?!? Maybe like a four across version, that goes a lot faster, and has theming... I'm trying here!!!

I'm going to be honest. This looks 1) not fun and 2) a capacity nightmare. I really enjoyed this park and the construction looked promising but seeing the video...yikes. PS - I fully expect to see a one side version of this installed in FujiQ next!

Yay! I'm back!

FYI Aeon Mall (a large mall company in Japan) has bought/leased the Space World lot and as soon as rides are removed they will start work on a large shopping/dining/cultural complex expected to be completed in 2021. Hoping that 'removed' means relocated!

I don't know how this park still survives, maybe just because so many other parks in Hokkaido have closed? The ops were so friendly when we were there though and begging us to go ride random crap we really had no desire to ride!

No never got into the game...those munks are adorable in those costumes though!

^KT *REALLY* loved Flights of Wonder so I'm hoping this is still really good and not 'dumbed down'.
