^^^I love hearing lottery winning stories! That's so exciting! ^Yes, KT is a superfan so I got up super early the morning the tickets went on sale and snagged $150 tickets. Used Hotel Points for free lodging so it ended up being cheaper than seeing the show here in Orlando! And Lin was in it!!! And when they changed the venue we ended up with amazing seats!!!

^Yup, entered for the first show today as it opens in Orlando on Tuesday. Also, KT and I made a short trip to Puerto Rico last week to see Lin-Manuel Miranda reprise his role and it was everything we imagined and more.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

^Great! Seriously, I can’t imagine going to CP and not staying on property if it’s not your local park! Even if I went once a year, I would stay on property. The convenience outweighs anything else including price. -
Last minute Florida trip
SharkTums replied to AndrewA86's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^What he said...and what everyone else said. Get some extra time at Universal or Sea World/Discovery Cove instead of two days at Fun Spot. There's other stuff to randomly check out too like the Orlando Eye area, Gatorland, Disney Springs, etc. -
And Lin-Manuel is again taking the lead for the three weeks it plays in PR. Yup. From all of the reviews, he's even better than when he originated the role! Would be nice to go see this!

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
SharkTums replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not to further derail the topic, but we stay in A LOT of hotels all over the world. Only once did we encounter these critters with terrible results. It was in Europe at a major chain hotel. KT and I were bit all over it was horrible, luckily we didn't take them back with us. Ever since I always carefully check mattresses now and have seen them one time since (in Australia!) so quickly changed rooms. -
We've entered quite a few times for the NYC show and never won, but we've met plenty of people that did! Spoiler alert, KT and I will be entering the Orlando Lottery EVERY DAY!!!!

I know we're all super excited for the 'real' Amusement Park (especially given the forum), but it was also announced that American Dream will be getting the US' Third Kidzania Location! Keep in mind none of the US locations have actually opened yet, but I'm hopeful this time around. Makes sense as these are often located in big mega malls in other locations around the world and it's basically an amusement park for kids! https://kidzania.us/en/

^That's what I was afraid of and heard as well. We also only got to do two of the courses since one was always closed on our visit and you could see areas that were already showing wear only six months past opening. Also, agree that the food and food options in DisneyTown is much better than what was in the park.

Yeah it’s not too bad inflation considering it was 260 back in 2004 when we first visited. -
Important question about Happy Valley...Was the Pizza Hut still on the main street there??? Also, did you happen to do the ropes course at Shanghai Disney? Wondering how that is holding up. Also, while I don't agree that Shanghai Pirates is the best ever, it's certainly in my top 5!

Chuck's Long Delayed Cedar Point Trip Report
SharkTums replied to cfc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cedar Point is SOOOO much more tolerable now that they have great resorts and better food options. Thanks for the report Chuck! -
I can answer a bit... 1. We've always gone though group sales or PR so can't help too much here. You're not staying at a hotel where they would also have discount tickets. 2. I would say the top things would be: Ski Dubai, Burj Khalifa, Desert Safari, Beaches, Water Parks, Grand Mosque, Shopping (Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, especially)! 3. The metro can be VERY busy and has weird hours (due to religious stuff) but taxi's are plentiful and cheap. Just try to get a REAL, METERED taxi and not just a hired car (they are sometimes waiting outside of touristy areas) where they will overcharge you. I love the metro though for where and when you can use it. 4. Don't stress about any weird horror stories. Like you said, if you follow the rules, laws, and customs, you'll be more than fine! No PDA, no drugs, wear modest clothing, no cursing, etc. It's quite fine!

^Agreed. Slightly concerned about this. Hopefully they don't ruin what that place is. -

Singing to myself..."One of these bands is not like the other, one of these bands just doesn't belong" Can you guess which one I'm talking about? Spoiler alert - I'm going to go see them!!!
