  1. Very Black Mirror-esque...I like it!
  2. 'Himi' is an abbreviation for 'Himalaya' To you and you only. I'm just letting him stay cause I can't wait to see what amazing fair question/report/jibberish we get next!!!
  3. I was pointing out the most important location in all of FujiQ...the kiosk to purchase the skip the line tickets! Luckily the park staff was amazing and escorted Robb back before opening to purchase every one we needed for the whole day.
  4. ^Also not killing their guests would be an improvement.
  5. ^You can do any of that, whatever works better for your schedule. You can also send luggage ahead of time, and there have been times that we've used fluffyloc-kers at train stations. All depends on the trip, country, parks, etc.
  6. Sometimes on trips (international and domestic) we have long days. People bring battery packs for their phones, snacks, umbrellas/ponchos, water bottles, etc. Like you said, Robb has a ton of camera equipment. I carry a ton of stuff for me and KT, some of our other participants have what I mentioned above or go light and just stuff their pockets. I think the only reason you see more people carrying bags on International trips is because those parks make it EASY to have a bag and don't charge for lockers, not let you in line, have safe places to leave your stuff, etc.
  7. ^^My advice would be that some of those days are going to very quickly turn into credit whoring and you're going to miss some cool non-coaster stuff. The suspended coaster will be closed at FujiQ on that day. If that is the ACE trip...oh boy, 150 people on Slope Coaster and the low capacity stuff at Motopia on the same day??! fun fun!
  8. ^What do you mean? I mean, you're 30 right? Surely you remember a time before everyone had pocket phones and internet everywhere?! Maps are available, you could call to get brochures or times, etc.
  9. We did get on Verbolten! Remember, one of the ride ops basically performed a hate crime on Alex!!!!???? Thanks for riding Invadr with me and LeScoot with KT!
  10. ^I remember it last year, but didn't they end up having to change or cancel when the hurricane ended up coming right up our state!??!
  11. So that's two parks today that basically announced their 2020 additions!?!?
  12. Honestly, I feel like a travel expert. I've been doing this my whole life and have had travel agents ask me to work for them. I know more than 99% of people that work in travel and travel planning! In addition to our group trips I have planned trips for friends and family to all over the world. ...and I would never do the Japan trip on a bus! Sure maybe like one or two parks, but it's just SUCH A BAD IDEA!!!!!
  13. BUSCH GARDENS TAMPA BAY ANNOUNCES NEW MULTI-LAUNCH THRILL COASTER “TIGRIS” Florida’s Tallest Launch Coaster Will Open Spring 2019; A Second New Thrill Ride Coming in 2020 TAMPA, Fla. (Sept. 12, 2018) – Today, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay continues to solidify its position as Florida’s thrill leader with the announcement of TigrisTM, a new triple-launch steel coaster and Florida’s tallest launch coaster, roaring to the park next spring, 2019. An innovative experience, Tigris will catapult riders through an exhilarating array of looping twists with forward and backward motion, breath-taking drops, a 150-foot skyward surge, and an inverted heartline roll, all at more than 60 miles per hour. Tigris will race riders along more than 1,800 feet of steel track designed to mimic the awe-inspiring agility of the world’s largest and most powerful cat –the tiger. “Tigris will be a strong addition to our family of world-class thrill rides. With three intensely exciting launch points, this ride is unlike anything we have in our coaster collection,” said Stewart Clark, president and general manager of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. “This new attraction is a testament to our continuing investment in the park, and bringing new and innovative experiences to our guests.” To further solidify Busch Gardens’ reign as Florida’s thrill ride leader, more news is on the horizon – a second new thrill ride will be coming to the Gwazi area of the park in 2020. The two new thrill rides will join a top-rated list of favorites for coaster enthusiasts, including Cheetah Hunt, the park’s longest coaster, SheiKra, a 200-foot tall floorless dive coaster, Falcon’s Fury, a 335-foot freestanding drop tower, Montu, an inverted coaster, Kumba, and Cobra’s Curse, to name a few. For the best way to experience the new Tigris, all of Busch Gardens thrill rides, as well as more than a dozen seasonal events throughout the year, the Annual Pass offers unlimited admission for 12 months, free parking and special benefits, starting at only $14 per month. Taking its name from that of the world’s largest cat species, Panthera tigris, the new Tigris attraction is being constructed in the Stanleyville area of the theme park adjacent to Jungala®, which houses the park’s endangered Bengal tigers. Additionally, Busch Gardens is home to Malayan tigers – a subspecies that has fewer than 500 individuals remaining in the wild. The park’s resident cats are an integral part of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan. More than 100,000 tigers stalked the grasslands and forests of Asia just 100 years ago. Now, every remaining subspecies of this big cat are endangered, and fewer than 4,000 total tigers remain in the wild. Threats to tiger populations include poaching, human encroachment on vital tiger habitat, deforestation and loss of vital prey species. The Tigris queue will include educational content about the plight of tigers in the wild and what conservationists – including the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund – are doing to help save them. In addition, the purchase of any merchandise in the Tigris gift shop will help make a difference, with 5% of the sales price donated to the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund to protect tigers and their habitat. To learn more and be the first to know about construction updates, new events and future announcements, fans can follow the park’s blog or join the social conversation using #TakeOnTigris on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Way more exciting!!! Near confirmation of RMCing of Gwazi!
  14. ^That's always been the problem with those ACE trips. They have people planning them that have no business planning! Some organizing ACE people used to actually ask us to quietly help them (i.e. they weren't allowed to tell ACE they had asked the Alvey's for assistance!). They are IDIOTS for doing that trip on buses. I said it and I stand by it. They're probably just scared to do the research and understand how to do the trains. Any of you interested in Japan should either use our guide, or go with us! We do Japan right! Oh, and that cost is high because they usually send the entire ACE Executive committee for free!
  15. Carowinds is MUCH farther inland than SFNO was, major flooding and storm surge is not what they need to worry about at all.
  16. Near the jail. Seriously. Please just find something in the safe tourist area!! Other 'safe' non-tourist areas that would be close for you include: Williamsburg, Dr. Phillips, anything off Apopka Vineland Road, etc.
  17. ^Yes, please try not to stay there. 1. This is really up to you. Have you looked into options for one of the Sea World Busch Passes? As an enthusiast, they often pay (especially if you can buy one NOT in Orlando). If you want to eat meals at the parks then that dining would pay, but I don't think the food is anything special and for $40 you could get two decent meals on I-Drive or 1.5 at Disney Springs! 2. That sounds like a decent deal, Fun Spot doesn't always have great short term pricing so that's good and 4 hours is plenty of time. 3. Did you check on a rental car? Sometimes you can priceline one for quite cheap, especially this time of year. Did you look into any hotels that offer shuttles? I don't think that would be cheaper than a scary AirBnB plus uber, but it might be worth checking. 4. I can't imagine you will encounter crowds at all. It's been pretty dead here and those parks don't have Halloween events that early so you'll be fine.
  18. I stayed with you through the Spirit Airlines part, but you lost me at staying in a private room in Tangelo Park! Please try to not get murdered.
  19. That's complete crap! She suffered a traumatic brain injury that left her in a near vegetative state and had been in a long term care facility. Her organs slowly stopped functioning over the year. 100% due to the accident! It's similar to when people are horribly injured, and die 20 years later due to that injury. Sure it may be an unrelated organ or system that failed, but it's DUE to the original accident.
  20. ^^It's a very *select* group. And by select, I mean friends of friends who all have the exact same opinion and are all ACEers. Robb and I used to get ballots, then were told we wouldn't get them anymore because our votes were not in line with what they expect! Maybe we'll just expand the TPR Coaster Poll to include other rides, parks, water parks, water rides, etc. You know, have REAL votes from people all over the world that don't just suck up to certain PR people!
  21. I love just exploring around Tokyo and finding things like the Raclette restaurant, Hello Kitty butts, and random Pokemon Vending machines. Yes, we were playing Pokemon. Yes, I am wearing that exact same outfit today as I read your TR!!! FREAKY!!! Yes, I was jealous of your Hilton Tokyo Bay room!
  22. ^He's just checking to make sure you're reading! Also, Comfort Collars...BOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
  23. LOL!!! They couldn't have given a bit more direction for their promo photo!?!?!
  24. Nice TR! I remember warning people walking into JB's after we had three people in line in front of us and it had been 20min and we hadn't made it to the counter yet! Maybe someday SF will do what CF did for food at most of their parks and take a real effort to improve both offerings and service.
