So FYI - Kristen and her friends went Saturday at 3pm over to Universal. They somehow had a great time! Crowds were not bad for a weekend and it was our last decent weather day here in Orlando till October. At one point they went by Velocicoaster and it was a 75min posted wait. Since they are 14, and wanted bragging rights, they went for it! 75min later after a less than 10min breakdown they were on it. They all loved it! Kristen even had a single rider next to her as yes, they opened the single rider line. She was telling us such great things about Universal that we went down around 7pm with a 9pm closing just to get some steps in. Well, with single rider lines open on Hulk and Velocicoaster, we rode both!!! It was great. Back to the Intamin debate. I've always said I prefer most awesome Intamin rides even if they only operate 70% of the time to almost all B&M's that operate 98% of the time! Intamin really does push a lot of limits and I think a lot of their issues are fair. This coaster has been running since November so they had a lot of test and adjust time and it's great seeing them get to open a done and tested ride (unlike Hagrid's!)

Velocicoaster last week...and KT got on it with some friends on Saturday too!

Great report! Although, I don't think I'd complain too much about a few short breakdowns of a giant new Intamin on opening day. That seems like par for the course! Especially after the year we've had!

Thanks for the report. I'm still surprised they haven't RMC'd The Boss yet, it certainly must be high on the list but I just don't think corporate seems to care a lot about this park right now.

This makes a lot of sense. They are committing to a Halloween Event and if things get better between now and then, they can just over deliver! Right now, this is a very 'safe' event and that's fine. They can always just sell more tickets, extend hours, add more entertainment if by some miracle everything is fine by August-October!

Velocicoaster opened for 'technical rehearsal' today which means anyone who's at the park and wants to wait in line can go ride! Keep in mind, this does NOT mean it will be open every day now until June 10, but you do have a chance!

^Fixed! Oh, and I may be able to win this one! Offhand my guess would be the time I rode the mall roller coaster in Adelaide, Australia when I lived in Sarasota, FL. Total distance: 9,992.86 mi (16,081.95 km)

I wonder if they could put the new lap bar only restraints on Maverick. That would be AWESOME!!

Ahh the death cloud! If I remember correctly (it was like a million year ago), when the storm passed the park was EMPTY the rest of the day/night and everyone got on a TON of stuff!

Wow! This looks awesome! Intamin is really killing it this year! Can't wait to be able to travel over to Europe and give this a try.

Yeah, but I also didn't see a global pandemic shutting parks down for over a year and yet here we are! Nothing surprises me anymore.

Dolly Parton is a great human. Maybe she's decided she wants out of the theme park biz? I won't judge her for it.

Oh man, I have a LOT of questions, but I also think I will have more after I sleep tonight and have nightmares about this place so I will wait.

Putting this coaster at a flea market scares me even more than riding it at a Californian FEC!!!

I believe we all survived the water park somehow even though there was a 'fat raft' on one of the slides that created a Tsunami that is still going to this day. Also, Cyclops is inane. That is all.

^Yes and Yes! I believe the Hero Zone will be like a Disney plussed up version of the SeaPlex space on the Royal Caribbean Quantum class ships. That's where they do sports, games, trapeze, bumper cars, etc. Sounds pretty similar. Here on the deck plan you can see how the two smaller movie theaters will be near the big main theatre.
