  1. Very cool, thanks for sharing. Now if only this park could replace Eagle's Fortress with something of similar scale and quality we would be back immediately!
  2. Can't quite figure this day out. South of ATL to Tampa is about 6 hours which is half of your day, and then you want to do beach and BGT. That may be pushing it, especially with three kids. What about adding in Legoland? 2 and 10 year old would love that park. During your time in Orlando you're staying in three different hotels...how about skipping one of them and adding a night at the other two? The tourist corridor is pretty little and it would be easy to do Sea World from either the Universal or Disney hotels. Edit - Just noticed you're also driving from Daytona to Carowinds and doing Carowinds that day? That's another 7 hour drive and I-95 sucks! We were actually considering Legoland, but we're afraid that we wouldn't be able to do Busch Gardens in 1 day. The beach/ Bush gardens day is more like a day at the beach and a couple of hours at night at Busch Gardens. The Daytona stop is the one part of the trip where I am really rethinking. We are doing a full day at Animal kingdom that day, and then heading to Carowinds after. Daytona just looked like a decent place to stop on the way for the night. However, it might be worth driving another hour or two so our drive to Carowinds is not so brutal. I agree about the different hotels. The thing with that is that we are cashing in rewards points at different hotel chains. By doing this, the stays are free. I would absolutely skip Daytona in that case.

  4. So excited to get back to Abu Dhabi and Dubai!
  5. Apparently so many people tried it crashed the system and they sold out very quickly.
  6. Thanks for the report! The trains really do look weird on Lost Gravity with people in them! Almost look wrong! Excited to visit this summer (and not ride the SLC!)
  7. ^He was sick for a few days and it got worse and worse. Went to the ER last week and was diagnosed with pneumonia from the H1N1 flu. It's a very, very bad case of pneumonia. He is currently on life support measures in the ICU.
  8. ^Are we also still checking for the wheels running over the bolts or did we get over that?
  9. I assume we'll start getting more updates once the park opens which I believe is soon.
  10. Try not to let this end too many of your lives. These things happen and in the grand scheme of things your life could be much, much worse than missing a roller coaster that will be at the park for 20+ more years. This is affecting Dollywood much more than you personally and think about those poor people in PR and GR dealing with this. We've all been there. We've missed credits, we've been at a park before a coaster opened or seen it testing or seen it right after it closed to the public. It's okay to be bummed out, but don't let it ruin you. You'll get on the ride at some point and it will be great.
  11. Thanks for the kind words. We hope to get to know more of you personally and then perhaps you can all join us on a small trip somewhere! Or at some point we'll forget how annoyed we got and open big trips again!
  12. OMG! Listen to the translation of the spinning coaster!!! JAPAN!!!!
  13. Having just ridden this over the summer it certainly is odd to get new trains. I felt the sit down ones were just fine and even KT rode and enjoyed it. Cool upgrade though. Thanks for finding these interesting things!
  14. I think I'd rather have these amazing new rides than the Twist Coaster Robin anyways!
  15. Good luck! Can't wait to hear and see what you think!
  16. ^Very well said. It's pathetic that people believe Sea World is some evil corporation that is going into the oceans and grabbing animals away from their families. Sea World does so much more for animals than PETA on a daily basis.
  17. Were you guys able to get all of the prizes the last time around? I wasn't even close to the last prize...Luscious I think?
  18. You can arrive as early as 10:30am and they usually start boarding by 11:30 and you can get lunch on board. You can also show up as late as about 2pm but you're paying for the ship, might as well get on it! The Disney parks are pretty much always crazy now. You'll have to check the schedule and see what events are going on in February (usually some sort of marathon) and cheer/dance or something.
  19. Where are you staying? Do you have enough budgeted to get skip the line passes at Universal? Do you have a car while in town? What kind of food do you like? Sit down or quick serve options? Give us some more info and you'll get more responses.
  20. Just getting caught up. I don't understand how they can put the headsets on Ninja. I thought we outlawed torture of our own citizens!?!?
  21. Or heated during some operating days!
  22. Cool addition! It's always been way too cold for me to try water park stuff when in Sweden.
  23. ^You'll have a great time! Oasis and Allure are probably the best ships out there!
