Ferrari World Discussion Thread
gisco replied to Captain Jack's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
No matter what happens to this park, it will not tarnish the image of Ferrari. Outside of us coaster nerds, almost no one knows the park even exists. It is not like it is in some major tourist center. -

Don't read anything into the concept art. It is unlikely that you can tell anything from an artist that probably has no knowledge of coasters or who even makes them. -

A very nice park with some great themed areas and some WTF? rides. The hotel and the rooms were very nice. Looking forward to going back some day. -

It seems kind of funny to see people bundled up in Florida! -
That is pretty cool seeing the park covered in snow. Looks a little different then when I was there last July. As always the pictures are fantastic!

They were probably thinking that most of these people are old and tourists that won't come back anyway so lets give them something they probably won't ever use so it won't cost us anything! -

I really don't think Kat intentionally lied, she was just nieve about what she was trying to do. The deal for the coaster could have been something as simple as the coaster is yours, just get it out of here and clear the site by June 30 at your expense. When promises where not kept, donations didn't roll in and no plans were put forward the original owner wants to cancel the sale. The reason being that at least he has a chance to try and move it again before Kat turns it into a pile of kindling and he has to pay to clear the land. -
^Not a big deal for a state or city to subsidize a project. Happens all the time. The project will create jobs in the area and the money that the workers make will probably be spent in the area. That money in turn will get spent again and again. If the park opens and it draws half the people they expect and each of those people spend $15 then that is 9 million pumped back into the Kentucky economy each year. Very little downside for the State if it is a viable project. I think this project has a chance. It just doesn't cater to what we think is a theme park so there is not going to be much support form here.
