Photo TR: Hidden Mickey's of WDW
gisco replied to gisco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Finally another update! It was off to Animal Kingdom and the weather was not too great. It rained most of the morning and I only spent less than half a day here. I planned to go back but never made it on this trip. More to find the next time I’m in town. Big Hidden Mickey on the right hand ticket booth. Ever see this guy on one of the side paths by Dinosaur? Look closely at one of the spots on his back. This picture is for DT. It is his favorite ride after all. On the arm of one of the dinos by Primeval Whirl. Here is a little bit of a skeptical one. Found by the order area of Flame Tree Bar B Que. I think the intent was there if not the proportions No hidden Mickey here but this is a coaster web site after all. Inside the gift shop of EE. A little skeptical This one is actually pretty good if you get the right angle on it. Outside EE at Gupta’s Gear. Off to the Maharajah Jungle Trek. There are a number of Hidden Mickey’s in the murals here. Look closely to see the first one Got it! Love the bling! Definitely a Hidden Mickey. Look for it. Always check the clouds for them. Another chance! Peek A Boo! Another one in one of the murals. Last chance to redeem yourself on a skeptical Hidden Mickey! Upside down classic. I think the ears are too far apart! Next up will be the studio. Stay tuned. -

It is sad you took advantage of Chuck to finish your thread when he is in Texas. I have to agree with you, there were a lot of cool things on that trip besides the coasters. It was a really awesome trip. -

Nice. This is the first I have looked in this thread and it was pretty cool to see the construction from last year all the way to the opening last week. -

The park sure looks different with out the trees filled out. -
I saw the show a few months ago at Epcot for the first time since it was removed years ago. I now know why I didn't remember it. In the preshow they had the Making of Captain EO and that was better then the show itself. They would draw bigger crowds into the show if they just played the music video Thriller!

Go Jim, Go Jim, Go Jim. You can finish your report before Chuck! Just one more day to go! Funny thing when you mentioned the free Wifi. I just got my phone bill and I had a $102 roaming charge. Happened the next day, still trying to figure out what I did to rack up a charge like that. -

Yeah for Hula Dog!. I ate at one in Hawaii last year. The stuff you can put on them is a little odd but good. -
Thanks for uploading your pictures! I have never seen an indoor Round Up before. Interesting with all the lights and sound effects.

Bummer you were not there when it was open. Not many picture available of inside the park or the coaster! -
Wow, just joined and your first post is a trip report. Good job. I love seeing these smaller parks that not a lot of people get too. Thanks for joining TPR and thanks for sharing. One recommendation I have is that when you do a photo trip report, if you would upload your pictures to TPR your report has a chance to be featured on the front page, used in the park index or put into the archive. When pictures are linked to places like Imageshack or Photobucket, we have no control over the pictures and if they get moved or deleted then they show up as little white boxes with a red x and we don't like that! Again, Good Job!

No Chuck, I think it is the photographer for getting someones elbow and leg in the picture on the right! -
It's kind of a bummer they wouldn't let us take pictures in the Outback Steak spectacular. TPR peeps making fools of themselves and the pig chase!

We had a rib cook off last year. Everyone that entered made some for the judges and the rest was given away as samples. I think the ticket was $20

^^I think Mickey's head goes all the way to her arm and you can see a second eye maybe? I still think this one is stretching it a bit. -

I think I'm with you on this. I just don't see them mixing the two in a Disney park. It must kill Universal to have to pay Disney a license fee. -

^ Splash Mountain has a number of them. One of the easiest to spot is when you see the river boat, one of the clouds looks like Mickey! On to finish up Epcot! Signs like this amuse me. Do you really need to be told where to take a picture from? I can't belive there is a line for this and this was late in the day! There are a number of Hidden Mickey's on the ride, maybe that is what they are all in line for! American pavillion, upstairs before you enter the theater. Ever watch these guys? You can actually see parts of three Mickey's! #1 #2 and #3 is a little hard to see #3 A little differant angle My lone China Mickey! You can tell this a a well looked for Mickey in Japan! It can be found on the far right side of the pavillion by a little walkway in a bush. Koi pond. Mickey in koi pond! This one looks a little funny because the top of the bamboo is gone. The other ear is to the right on the proportion of the ears is off because of the angle of the picture. Like my shoe? In the back of Morocco this wall painting can be found with three Mickey's! #1 #2 and witty caption #3! This one was actually easier to see in this picture then it was looking at the painting. Now we are in France. See the Mickey? Give up? The French do all the time! Hard to get high enough to get a good picture. My last one for Epcot found on a building in the France Pavillion. -
