  1. Spinning wins, I just like spinning rides in general, but Tree Top Racers is pretty awesome as mice go.
  2. ^The pre-show should be optional, I mean a line is a line and it's more annoying to have to watch that thing over and over than to just stand there.
  3. I gotta do that Jurassic Jungle Boat Ride, anything with dinosaurs has to be good, and the fact it looks kinda cheesy makes it better. I'm gonna go to Universal and get on Jurassic Park-The Ride just to console myself.
  4. Futuristic dinosaurs, sounds like one of those Skittles contradiction commercials.
  5. Oh! That's what that button does, noted.
  6. Tatsu is the only ride at SFMM where I have seen the crew playing with their cell phones. Of course, the laughing and talking about who's hooking up with who and all that is totally unprofessional too. I think Tatsu has the only crew that makes me feel "unsafe", like they are to busy fooling around to do their job properly. I think they should offer a reward for any guest who can bring them a picture of the crew on any coaster using their cell phone. People will do anything for free stuff, and it would put the ride op's on notice that they are being watched.
  7. Ok, my son, who is 2, just rode his first coaster this month, Timberline Twister at Knott's. He really loved it and it's a good intro for a kid, its got a little kiddy airtime and a real lift hill. The coaster my my older kids really loved when they were little was Percy at SFMM, again it's like a small version of a real coaster and the train theming helps for kids who are a little timid to ride a coaster. Of course Disneyland is great for kids, because of the low height requirements on all of their coasters. Sidewinder at Knott's also has a 42" requirement, but is a solid coaster even for adults, just intense enough to be thrilling, but not scarey for a kid. And we can't forget Dragon Wagons and Wacky Worms, those are always good. Thats all I got, hope it helps.
  8. I think the windmill is to imply that catawampas knows something, all he said to me was "moo".
  9. ^The survey markers are all over the friggin place, unless they are gonna turn Goldie's into a resort hotel I think they must be full of crap. ^^Come on, you gotta know something.
  10. So CBS News said the guy went back to work today, what the hell is that about.
  11. Whatever they are going to do, has to be big, considering what's going on at Disney, Universal and Six Flags. And, it would appear that Cedar Fair has funding available for a big project.
  12. In case anybody still has a jones for chocolate bacon funnel cake, they sell it at the Pinks outside Knott's, for now at least. It's the funnel cake that won't die.
  13. Probably Montezuma's Revenge and Big Thunder Mountain, just for the fact i've always liked them and they have been there for so long. I always tell my wife I'm going to the bathroom when we are in Camp Snoopy and run over and ride Montezuma. As for Big Thunder Mountain, it's one of the few coasters I'm willing to wait in a long line for.
  14. Sidewinder at Knott's with my youngest daughter, her first time on it, she couldn't stop smiling.
  15. The email from the park says it's called Control Freak and it will be open at the end of the month. I got a coupon for a free ride that says its good the 23rd. 48" height requirement and 5 bucks per person.
  16. Again, probably the wrong thread, could probably retitle it to be more about fitting on rides, but then again there is probably a thread about that already too. In any case, I will let the admins handle that and just tell you that using a meal replacement shake for one meal a day and switching breakfast to something low fat (oatmeal?) works. With a little exercise you can lose a couple pounds a week.
  17. ^^Yeah i think Robb already hinted to us that was going to happen and I don't think he heard it from the guy at the sky tower.
  18. Thats just nasty, I think thats one of the snack flavors that Doritos rejected. Dude, when they say you eat...or if you go...when you give a girl...It's not food ok, congratulations on being 14.
  19. I saw Jay Leno doing that Jay walking thing at Universal Hollywood awhile back. They were trying to get people to participate , but you had to fill out some kinda release, so a lot of people just kept walking.
  20. The behind the scenes tour looks like it was awesome, I love looking at old junk.
  21. From what I've seen, and sometimes it even says it on the machine, the adjustment of the tension on the claw machine is set by the manufacturer. What the vendors actually do is bend the claws with vise grips. Of course, at some point they gotta let people win. If people see the same prizes in there for a week, they stop playing. I've actually seen a trend at fairs, where the prizes totally suck, but are really easy to win. So, kids keep puttin in dollars, because they win 25 cents worth of crap each time.
  22. ^I think it's proximity to Tower or Terror had more to do with it than Supreme Scream, and even more, the fact that it just plain sucked.
  23. If this was any other event that got rained on, it would have been ruined, but with TPR it becomes "epic". TPR even makes rain fun. Wish I could have been there, but the updates are awesome, keep um comming.
  24. We gotta remember too that this is all speculation anyway, Disney might wanna send it to another park instead of sell it, and who knows if SFMM has plans for a drop tower anyway.
