Do you have an iPad?

No desire to have an iPad or an iPhone or anything with an obnoxious little "i" in front of it. The magazine works just fine in my viewmaster. -

The Official TPR Bag of Crap Thread!
fatdaddy replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Bags of crap are awesome. It's like the grab bags the ice cream man used to sell, the good ice cream man with grab bags full of candy. Not the bad ice cream man who wanted you to grab his sack for candy. -
Yes, half assed, and yet I still want more. It's like crack, you got us hooked, then gave us some bad $hit, but we are already addicted, so we will all be waiting for our next fix.

Knott's Haunt - 2010 Enthusiast Event!
fatdaddy replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
No, an Intamin cable! LOL! I vote he wears a Vekoma shirt and chases people trying to give them front of the line passes for Boomerang. In hell, all coasters are Boomerangs. Frightening. -
Knott's Haunt - 2010 Enthusiast Event!
fatdaddy replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
In order to properly scare coaster enthusiasts Robb will be dressed and an OTSR. I think I may have to go to this if Robb's gonna be trying to scare people. -
I would be 100 percent on board with this idea. Regarding the profit thing, It can't cost more to print a little plastic card than it does to make an entire plastic cup, so the initial $12 profit would stay the same, and Six Flags could even personalize it like they do with season passes so multiple people can't use the same card, forcing more people to buy cards (I know we've loaned our cup out to family and friends more than once). The only extra thing they would have to account for is the cost of paper cups, and I personally would happily pay an extra 25 cents per drink ($1.25 refills) if it meant not having to worry about the inconvenience of carrying that cup around all day and worrying about putting it in a fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo (or behind the fluffy, fluffy bunnies filled with medicine and goo and hoping for the best) every time we get to a ride. Of course, I wonder if that would automatically decrease fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo profits. Hmmm.... Problem with a card type system for refills is that people would buy multiple drinks with one pass. I mean, there would be no limit to the drinks you could buy with a card, so people would buy one card and then get cheap drinks for all their friends. Yes, my wife and kids usually drink my soda, but still that just means I gotta buy a lot more refills. Also, cups for non-season pass holders are a one time sale, where they probably make close to 12 bucks off of one cup. Figure, they sell similar cups at the the 99 cent store, so they gotta cost less than a dollar, and soda cost almost nothing. Plus they come out with a new cup every season and won't refill last seasons cup. Bottom line is that people get thirsty a lot more often then they get hungry, and considering the taste of tap water, most people opt for a soda. Again, I actually love souvenir cups. I buy then and use them every time and would love to have the cup holder. I know a lot of you don't like the idea of the holders, but you don't buy the cups anyway. So, stop raining on my parade and crapping on the cup holders you will never use, because your not spending the money on the cups. I hate it when i have to hide my cup, so it won't get thrown away while I'm in line.

I'm not entirely sure why, but I would like to see more of this report. Good Job?

What area really needs a theme park?
fatdaddy replied to let1gre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
One thing Vegas could do as far as the heat is, just like everything else is open 24 hours, maybe a park that opens in the evening. I could see something that opened say at 5 pm and closed at 2 am, or is that crazy? -
I still like the idea of the cup rack. I mean all I keep hearing is from people who don't use a souvenir cup. I for one have a cup for every park that uses them, and I usually refill them all day. Usually I have my wife, or the stroller to leave my cup with, but it would be cool to have somewhere I could leave my cup without having to buy a locker. I don't think I would be really too worried about people messing with the cups. The only time someone messed with my drink was at Disneyland when the Disney jackass moving my stroller dumped my soda all over the seat and just left it there. I really hate it when they move strollers, I park it in the designated area and I come back and it's gone. I actually had someone put their stuff in my stroller thinking it was theirs, because it had been moved. Anyway, since I'm the jackass walking around with the refillable cup, my vote is for the cup holders.

Someone didn't use spell check, shame on you, or is a stidy something new I have not heard of yet. Oh, and I think your right about a park in Phoenix, maybe a indoor park would work. -
2011 Theme Park Review Trip Deposits!
fatdaddy replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just trying to budget stuff and I was wondering when should I have cash in hand for plane tickets? I got a lot of "big" money things going on and I just need to know if I should set cash aside already. Trying not to do anything 'til Elissa says so. -

Is this the first Haunt event TPR has done with Knott's? Sounds cool, but I doubt I can make it, all the kids Halloween stuff pretty much bleeds me dry this time of year. -

Wait, did Robb just admit he's actually Superman? I always wondered how he was able to do all these trip and not get tired. Does that make Elissa Wonder Woman? -

Yeah, I really don't do Facebook, and am still figuring out Twitter. I mainly use um for updates on parks, because I'm not always home to check the web and my phone has an app for it. Anyway, it was really weird to see all these notices saying Robb was tagged in pictures. Had to figure out what that meant, and then I go to see the cool picture of Robb doing "something", and I can't even tell if it's him, or it's a picture of him standing there doing nothing. Point being, glad you bumped this topic, I read it last time you bumped it, but this time I actually understand it.
