  1. Wow, Raik is larger than I was thinking. Not bad.
  2. Knott's. There isn't even a debate here. Yeah, HHN is fun but Universal has really dropped the ball in recent years in terms of creativity. I'm not referring to the choices for the haunt but for the scares. Pretty much every scare now is someone banging on a wall right next to you or those loud drop-down panels with a person behind it. Sure, the haunts look good but when everything is just a sudden loud noise it loses it's flair. Knott's gets creative, they have interesting ways to scare you and many of their haunts have a great vibe about them. Walking through them gives you the creeps. Walking through a haunt at HHN is just like walking down any corridor. Also you can do VIP, front of line, early entry, and a buffet at Knott's for less than the cost of just walking through the gate at HHN.
  3. Those sure aren't attraction markings. Either they're expanding the walkway or they're doing some new underground work (electrical, plumbing, etc).
  4. Not gonna happen. San Diego is insane with their height restrictions.
  5. ^ Yeah, an S&S 4D, not an Intamin Zacspin that's been weighted.
  6. You mean to tell me people actually stood in line for horrible food (Panda Express blows) that is way overpriced while at a theme park? Where there's tons of distractions? I can't wrap my head around that mentality. If I see a line longer than two or three people for food I keep walking. It's theme park food, not 5-star dining.
  7. 0 for 3 on that one, there, champ.
  8. ^ Damn. I was hoping for it to be a SCAD tower.
  9. Sounds exactly like all their magnetic launch coasters. I think you're just nutty.
  10. ^ Oh yeah, the splinters up my butthole would be incredible.
  11. I blame Eisner. Isn't he the dip that separated the movie and theme park money? If those profits were easily transferable I doubt there'd be any issue.
  12. I've seen it used as a glorified bench. No flips, no fountains, it just spun in circles without the brakes engaging. That was the program all day when I visited last year. Kinda unfortunate. Sent from my XXXtreme Home Desktop using Chrome
  13. ^ What d you mean "under construction?" Those things are done. The ride sends patrons into the eternal abyss...
  14. There's gonna be some sweet sweet airtime in the back of the boat thanks to that lip on the back spike.
  15. ^ That's one of those Air Swimmers things. Blue Man Group has (or had at their old room) giant floating eyeballs during the preshow.
  16. Dude, are you kidding me? You just posted this one page ago. Afraid nobody will talk about it?
  17. That would ruin Metallica for me. St Anger didn't? I kid, I kid, I'm a huge Metallica fan. St Anger really sucked, though.
  18. Dude, Gravitrons are amazing if you have a good operator / DJ. The guy that used to work on the one at Casino Pier (Seaside Heights, NJ) was a madman. He'd blast nothing but Metallica and Iron Maiden with the strobe light while climbing around the booth like a psychotic monkey.
  19. ^ I find they're a double-edged sword. They're awesome for the amount of flavors they provide, but I kinda hate them because I can never remember what crazy concoctions I create (hello, alliteration).
  20. ^ I figured it'd be a huge factor on how well it was made. Did your version come from a proper restaurant or did it come from an amusement park teenage food employee?
  21. So, can we talk about this for a second? http://www.holidayworld.com/holiblog/2016/04/03/a-burger-topped-with-what/ They're gonna have a Peanut Butter Burger this year. I'm all for trying new things as anyone who's met me can attest to, but this just seems strange. Guess I'll find out in six weeks.
  22. I like to call this The Magic Mountain Effect.
  23. ^ Ah, yes, the way god intended a motion simulator to be!
