  1. ^ Nah, the first photo was just taken as a panorama which kinda gives a fisheye effect. You're good.
  2. I dunno. Free ice cream and soda and an extra three hours outside of normal operations doesn't really seem like it'd be worth it for me. I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun and the people that go will have a great time, though! Now, if they offered free beer and hot wings, I'd be singing a different tune.
  3. ^ I tried to imagine how they'd pull off a re-theme. I mean, just changing the facade alone would be an insane amount of money that would be better off going to an all-new attraction.
  4. More like a chest-chopper. Holy crap that's low clearance, haha!
  5. ^ Heard about it, forgot about it maybe 5 minutes later. Hopefully it stays a rumor.
  6. The new queue for Colossos looks great! I remember it being pretty bare and boring back when I visited in 2012. The switchbacks next to the station were awful. Glad to see they completely redesigned that portion, too. It's an SLC. A particularly mean SLC, at that. You're not missing anything.
  7. ^ I understand why the line is long, I just don't understand why the ride is so popular. If I had to choose, Mr. Toad and Pinocchio are superior to Peter Pan. Peter is cool and all, but you don't crash into a train and go straight to hell.
  8. ^ Yes. I have no idea why, either. It's the same in California, too.
  9. You're aware they turned half of it into the Blue Man theatre, yeah? Also holy crap that guy is horrible at editing and narrating, not to mention breaking a few laws.
  10. I've been buying a bottle every time I visit the park. It's excellent and not extremely fruity. Has a bit of a kick to it.
  11. Or just skip Silver Star and ride Euro MIR another 20 times. Not like you'll be missing anything.
  12. I know which seat I'll gravitate towards now!! I should clarify, since both rows do both directions. When in the loading station you want to be facing towards the lift hill, so when you're going up the lift you're facing away from the coaster.
  13. ^ Just wait until you ride over that hump. In the forward facing rows it's fun, in the backwards facing rows you'll probably crap your pants.
  14. Aw, man, and I was all set to go with my liquor-dispensing, gun-mounted drone!
  15. Watch it open Saturday like an hour before the park closes.
  16. Understatement of the century, right there. A geriatric crippled snail moves like lightning in comparison.
  17. None of the other coasters that are outside have any theming either... ...and there is a very good reason for that. You'll actually find that the larger coasters in the Middle East (including the bigger coasters at the upcoming IMG and DPR theme parks) don't have trees planted close to the structure. What is the good reason for not planting trees around the coasters? This. Skip to the 4:30 mark for the real fun -
  18. ^ I didn't plan a cross-country trip to ride a rollercoaster on opening day. I'm going to SDC next month, Holiday World in May. Planned on a whim thanks to cheap airfare over my work weekends (Thursdays and Fridays). Never been to either but if I get there and some rides are closed, I'll live. First and only time I've been to Dollywood we saw Tennessee Tornado was closed all day. I didn't stomp my feet and whine about it. I just rode Thunderhead more because Thunderhead is incredible. Also, like I mentioned but you seem to have not read, I'm going on a very large trip this summer to Europe that's going to cost me some good money, but like I said if things are closed I'll figure out a way to survive, like riding other attractions.
  19. A bunch. Probably about the same number that Over Texas and St Louis have. ...why does this matter in the slightest?
  20. What the heck happened in here? One minute people are talking about the color blue and suddenly we're all Fox News.
  21. ^ Probably similar to any other amusement park. Bud Light-level pisswater for $10. Enjoy!
