  1. "The The Angels Angels of Anaheim"
  2. I feel like this is one of those rides I'll be on saying "Why the heck is it doing this? What? Why did it just do that? Who thought of this? What drugs were consumed?" In a good way, of course.
  3. ^ Yeah, that preshow is pretty insane, haha. I just really prefer the energy of Paris'. Sure, the layouts are exact, but having the moving lights, strobes, etc is much more exciting to me than the occasional blacklight effect on (what looks like) cardboard.
  4. "Best Arrow mine train." I love the Big Thunders above every other mine train, as well. To be honest, I can't even remember how many Arrow mine trains I've been on. I've ridden every one I've ever come across, but they're never memorable rides. I'm gonna vote for SFGAdv's simply because I grew up riding that one and it's the only one that sticks out to me, haha.
  5. ^ And the "Mine is bigger" contest begins anew! Edit - Seriously, what is it with SFGAdv and phallic height-winners? Someone in the offices there is feeling inadequate.
  6. ^ I know, I've had the idea of the client bowing out and all that, but I want this to happen too much to give up hope, haha.
  7. What, Armageddon didn't completely blow your mind?! DLP's version of Rock N' Rollercoaster is by far the better one, though. I could ride that thing all day long and never get bored of it. The one in Orlando I max out at two, maybe three rides before I'm yawning.
  8. Soooooooo, maybe I just missed the big announcement, but has anyone heard anything new about the 500+ foot Polercoaster? They said the client would have their own release in about 2 weeks, but that was way more than 2 weeks ago. Something is screwy here...
  9. ^ I've been to the SD Zoo a few times before but have yet to visit the Wild Animal Park. It's high on our list of things to do, though!
  10. Dude. Doctor Who Salt & Pepper shakers. My year has been made. They joined my Flight Control TARDIS and Dalek plush to watch the Doctor Who Christmas Special.
  11. ^ Huzzah! Quick, let's see how many news outlets are making it front page news! :::5 minutes later:::
  12. ^But they do come in handy for "floating man" on-ride photos!
  13. Nice TR. What stuck out to me the most, though, was how you mentioned and made fun of (slightly) the Sushi Tempura at Mythos, but then wrote how you love Bubba Gump, where 99.9% of the menu is deep-fried. It made me giggle, haha.
  14. They're not special in that regard. I feel most companies make their invoices laughably insane. I think that's the only way the accounting department can get its laughs.
  15. Well, to be fair, it is a smug little bastard being all "look at me, look at me, I'm the tallest, blah blah blah!" Just want to slap that mountainous grin off its face...
  16. I love how they mention to sit on top of the bag on the slide. Being in Colorado I guess it makes sense that people would want a blanket during the ride, haha.
  17. Sooooo...how 'bout that Kraken, eh? No? Maybe Manta, then? ....anyone? That's more of a Fox News type of comparison, to be honest, haha. All of this Blackfish nonsense really seems to have hit its fever pitch. I predict it will soon leave the public eye when the armchair (uneducated) activists find something else to rabble about. Like the latest Duck Dynasty.
  18. ^ That support design, though. Ew.
  19. Yep, that's it. I'm moving to Germany. I maintain that Euro-MIR is the greatest ride ever created.
  20. Drop Towers, SkyCoasters, Slingshots, all of that stuff is perfectly fine to me. My true foe? Swings. Not playground swings, mind you. Those are great. Wave swingers, Yo-Yos, all of their ilk. And the absolute most pure-evil form of them all...Star Flyers. I hate them all. But I also love them all. Even if I'm only 5 feet off of the ground I have the fear that the small chains will snap and launch me to my doom strapped into the wicker or plastic chair. The worst one of all, so far, is the Star Flyer at Holiday Park in Germany. It is completely surrounded by high trees. When the ride starts it's a normal Star Flyer, just going in circles really high. Then you go above the trees and WHAM! Hello, stupidly strong wind coming across the valley! It knocks the seats into a wild twisting and tilting mess of insanity that only Satan himself can muster. I was white-knuckling the safety bar harder than I ever have before while on that contraption.
  21. Just because I'm an awesome dude, I'm thinking of making a drive down there fairly soon. I can't do it this week but perhaps next week. Work is hectic around this time for me with all of the special events for Christmas and New Year's, but it's only an hour away from my apartment.
