I'm very happy with how the park turned out. The LEGO-theme will actually make it money for a change, and their decision to keep the gardens and the ski show preserved the spirit of Cypress Gardens. I dare anyone to complain about the change, especially anyone who went to the previous incarnation, which was very nice, but really a quaint fun fair added on to the famous bits.

Jack Daniels is the magic man for you. He has single-handedly redefined the way to train for any race. You definitely want to vary your training, especially if you plan on building up to a race anytime soon. The idea is this: most days should be a recovery run, meant to be run at a pace that feels very easy. This is to recover from the harder efforts, which generally include one run at recovery pace that is quite long (I run about 50 miles a week and so my long run is about 12 miles) and some speed work. The speed work gets tricky, because there is so much variety. I recommend you do this: -Read the article and then find what paces you should run at www.runbayou.com/jackd.htm. -Try to figure out a training plan, this article should help: www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-238-267--11606-F,00.html -If you need anything else or have any more questions, I know there are a lot of runners here who do longer distance races and some like me that do shorter ones. We'd all be glad to help. Also, runnersworld.com has a giant forum, too, but we're still much cooler . Good luck!

GAME: What's worse than...

A lot of stuff, really. What's worse than having DarienLaker keep making unnecessary repetitive questions about Darien Lake? -
POLL: Waterslide Riding Position?

I think it's park preference just to ensure that idiots don't sit up and scoot around. I've always done across the chest, but that's because when I was little I would plug my nose at the splash pool and that was the easiest way to do it while still getting narsty speed (I was a junky then, too). -
Seconded. Plus whoever thinks that Flo the insurance lady is funny should be forced to watch awkward RomComs for eternity.

They also totally misspelled "Disaster". Just sayin'. -

Interesting attempt at a halfpipe slide, too bad it's so blocky. Maybe try some trackitecture to round it out a bit more? -
I personally like how my browser's standard window blocks them out completely.

Europa Park Discussion Thread

There is so much great interaction in that model, I see three path crossovers, a crossover with the Supersplash (which is brilliant), a crossover with Blue Fire, and a station flyby. Suck on that, cookie cutters. -
NEW 2011 - X-Car Bayern Park Germany
Coaster Cow replied to Tezee's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's a ridiculous idea with the multiple launches. This is one of the first X-cars that I feel has a "complete" layout in terms of length to size. Very cool. -

^The best part was that it was so humid I couldn't even feel it anyway. -
So, funny story... I was planning on attending ECB on the way home from a vacation in North Carolina, but certain plans came up in the way. On our drive home, we realized we were way ahead of schedule. So what do we decide to do? Go to Hershey, of course. It was pretty darn surreal to see you guys around the park and know that I wasn't part of the event. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait till next time.

I like this streak you're on, QR, summer announcement season always torhes the fanboys' common sense controls. -

^^Looks great RRP. The only thing I'm a little iffy on is the color. Either I love it or it's meh, I can't tell. I'll have to wait for more of the archy (which looks awesome btw, very IOA to me). Looking forward to more! -
Rendered Mouse

The detail in this is astounding. I do find it hard to give feedback because I don't know the system at all. Could you give a little explanation on how you do this? It looks ridiculously complicated. -
A.J. is completely right. NE takes itself very seriously, and I would argue for good reason. I joined NE because I saw what they were making and was hugely impressed. The level of creativity and execution on the site is absolutely unparalleled. Having said that, it does not mean than NE has all the best players. I absolutely love the Folf parks at TPR, and they share many of the same qualities that NE seems to demand. It is simply because NE is the site that demands this that makes that rule have validity. TPR is content as a site to show how to have fun with RCT, which is, after all, the point of the game. NE strives to single itself out as a site that pushes the envelope of what an out of date PC game can do. They use as a sandbox. I feel that NE is allowed to have elitist undertones. Neither TPR or NE has the right to bash each other in any respect. NE has the rules it has because it values the intellectuals its site holds, even if they are only intellectuals on the RCT level. They still hold an unparalleled sense of excellence when it comes to RCT. As a member of both sites, I can vouch that it is about 10 billion times harder to post a screen on NE than on TPR. Many people complain about that, but in the end, if you stick to NE, it's because you value the feedback, often harsh as it may be, that the members give you. This parallels to its rules. If you chose to be a member of NE and upload your parks for an accolade, you value the sense of elitist community it provides if you score well. There's nothing wrong with that. It is just the nature of the site. Don't know if any of my thoughts made sense, but I thought I'd throw in my two cents.

^Yeah, that'd be awesome. I'm terrible at hacking, but if I ever finish this I'll probably send it to someone to remove the entrances and stuff.
