  1. I felt it, and I'm an hour west of Toronto. La Ronde probably was the closest park. Canada's Wonderland probably would have felt it a bit. I doubt they would have done much though. It was a pretty minor quake. It would have been barely noticeable at Wonderland.
  2. Might be a tight fit. But it has 60/40 split seats, so with one side folded down you might get away with it.
  3. Check out the ticket packages. If you get a ticket package at BE parking is included. Note that the old section of breakers doesn't have A/C. Just a window air conditioner I believe. Might be a bit stuffy in July. Also not sure what time you're arriving, but you can actually get the early entry on the day you arrive. Just head to the hotel early and they'll give you the resort card. Then you'd have to go back later to get the room.
  4. How much do you want to spend? As others have said Hotel Breakers is a great choice, but in August it's going to cost you quite a bit. If you want something cheaper, but still getting the perks, go with Breakers Express. But staying at Breakers and being able to walk to the park is pretty nice.
  5. Just don't ride the front seat of Millenium at/near night. Unless you want to eat about a thousand bugs.
  6. I'd say maybe. I'd like to go, but I'm just not 100% sure if I can with the start of the intimidatour trip the following week.
  7. The gas mileage is typically lower while the car is being broken in. I'm sure after the break in period you'll start getting the type of mileage you expect.
  8. Marineland and the attractions at the falls probably would take US money, but they typically give you a bad exchange rate to do it. And anything within the park would require Canadian funds. You're probably better off getting a bit of Canadian cash before you come, and then pay for most stuff with a credit card.
  9. Shouldn't it be 12 countries, or do you count Canada as the US's 51st state?
  10. Later in August might be a bit lighter crowds then early August. But you'll probably be looking at pretty decent sized crowds throughout the month.
  11. Depending on how busy they are, you could possibly get put into a group with a couple strangers. That could be an option if you don't want to ride alone.
  12. Are you riding with others, or going solo? And if in a group are you larger/smaller then the others? Largest person gets put in the middle with three people. One of the two people on the outside pulls the ripcord. I'm pretty tall, so I've only pulled the cord once. But I find it easier to be the person in the middle, and not having to worry about pulling the cord. Just gotta hold on and enjoy the ride. Skycoasters are an incredible rush, and you'll be happy you did one. But the pull up can be pretty freaky.

    Bots

The bots read all the posts and index them. This way when someone searches google for "bot" they get brought to your post.
  14. Where are you looking? A quick search on expedia lists a handful of hotels in Erie,PA for under $60. I'd expect similar results from other sites like hotels.com, etc.
  15. If they get a topspin hopefully it's a non-floorless model. Those floorless topsins aren't guy friendly.
  16. You might want to try replacing the RAM with a different stick as well. If you replace the RAM, and replace the video card, and it still does the same thing, that probably means the mother board.
  17. Buy a new computer? But seriously, it could be the video card, motherboard, memory, etc. You'd need to try replacing hardware until you find which is causing the problem. Try putting a different video card in, and see if it fixes it. Try different memory, etc. But if you're not that technical it might be difficult for you to do this. If it's old, it might be time for replacing.
  18. I always prefer as far back as I can get. The very back row being my favorite seat. I find the farther back you are, the better the 1st drop is. I find the front of the train ruins some of the 1st drop. I would never wait in that front row line again, such a waste of time IMHO.
  19. I missed Maverick the 1st time I went by a week, and it looks like I'll miss STR by a week as well. But I won't be too upset about this one. I'll ride it some other time. Opening a few weeks late isn't that big of a deal to me. Not like it's delayed half a season like some other rides have been.
  20. I think the ride could be improved by a random program. The problem I always had with it is that you memorize the program while watching it. So you're never really taken by surprise that much.
  21. Those markers are pretty close to Vortex. Hopefully whatever those are for won't mean the end of another suspended.
  22. You'll probably be looking at 30-45 minute waits for the major flat rides.
  23. Time Warp is a decent ride to get out of the way first as it's really low capacity. Behemoth probably will have longer waits at opening, as many people will go there first. For the most part you might find the waits to be consistently long throughout the day. CW is a really popular park, so it will probably be packed.
  24. ^ Pretty much anytime once schools get out the park gets packed. A weekday in July should be very busy. I would expect 45 minute to 1 hour+ waits. I went once a few years ago on physics day. I can't remember exactly, but I remember it being a little busy for that time of the year, but not insanely busy. It is still early in the year, so it shouldn't be too insane. Plus, I'm not sure what time the park is open to at that time of year, but I'd imagine the school groups should start clearing out mid-evening.
