  1. Rye was in my rough plan for after the Indimidatour trip. With this news I'll have to make sure I make it there.
  2. Florida is really your only option if you don't want to go to California.
  3. You won't really find a good wooden coaster at either Texas Six Flags. Although I'd probably give the edge to SFoT by default due to Rattler at SFFT being complete garbage.
  4. SFoT is a larger park, and has more rides. Though I thought SFFT had a bit more charm. And their light show blows up lots of stuff. But yeah, either way they're pretty decent parks.
  5. ^ lol, yeah that's for sure. That was the common theme when I was researching the parks along my planned route. Seems like every one has a wacky worm.
  6. Sounds like the chances of it re-opening by the time I pass through in a few weeks are pretty slim.
  7. That's the main reason I don't wear them. From time to time I've forgotten to remove them before entering the park, and they always get twisted and bent in directions they shouldn't. If you have to wear glasses, a hard case would be an asset.
  8. I'm only slightly nearsighted, so I just leave my glasses behind. All I'll wear to a park are my cheap-o sunglasses that I don't care about. that way if they get broken or lost I just buy a new $5 pair. Although it depends really on the park. If it's Cedar Point or a Six Flags park, I leave them behind. But if it's someplace like Disney I'll wear them as there's not much that I would have to take them off for.
  9. That seems like a bargain price for Gagne. The rumour is that the Kovulchuk deal could be 17 years/$100 million? That would be good cap hit, but man, those long term deals are sure risky.
  10. If you're using a router, you can try changing your DNS server? It could explain why you're having trouble with that site, but no one else is. I was having some trouble with some sites awhile back, and changed to Google's DNS severs. (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) Seemed to help my connection out.
  11. Yeah, but move is just the Wii but with a colored ball on the end. Though yeah, the price point of Kinect sounds like a turn off for something which doesn't appear to do much at the moment. Though I do think it's more interesting then move. Though I wouldn't be buying either of them.
  12. That describes exactly my first ride on it when I was 12. Hugged the bars, they slammed in on my head on the way down the 1st drop. Had one wicked headache by the time the ride ended. Now when I ride I pull out on the bars as I ride.
  13. If Skyrider's line is outside of the station, you're probably in for a decent wait. I've always found the station itself can be about 30 minutes.
  14. Thunder run has only one train, but it's a long one. It's line isn't too bad I find. Time Warp is a good choice to start on, as it has real bad capacity.
  15. Actually, I just checked Marineland's operating schedule and it probably guarantees that you wouldn't be able to do Wonderland, CNE, and Marineland in the same day. So it looks like you'd have to get to Marineland by 6. With travel time you'd have cut the day at Wonderland really early. If you were at Marineland at opening, you might be able to get what you want done in an hour-ish. Marineland isn't far from MFI, so you might be able to do what you want on that day. Though, Seabreeze could be hit or miss due to travel time. Is there any specific reason you want to go to the CNE? It doesn't seem to have the most stellar ride lineup. Not sure if any coasters will be there. I think they might have a crazy mouse.
  16. Canada's Wonderland, CNE, and Marineland seems like it might be tough to fit in one day. Especially if you want to do everything at CW. CW and just the CNE would be more reasonable. Only if you just wanted to ride some rides at the CNE, and not see any of the exhibitions.
  17. Possibly, who knows? Although I would call it replacing a real old painful standup for a slighly newer less painful standup. Change is much better then Iron Wolf IMHO.
  18. Well, more Bob Proberts, but without the off ice problems.
  19. While they're scrapping old painful pieces of crap, maybe they'll also tear down Iron Wolf?
  20. My ride on GASM a few years ago was one of the most painful riding experiences I've had. I won't shed any tears it's going. And I'm not bothered that it won't be running when I visit the park in August, as I wouldn't have ridden it anyways.
  21. In the US those are typically called Alpine Slides. There should be quite a few across the country. Trying searching for "apline slide" and you should get more helpful results. ober gatlinburg near Dollywood is the first that comes to mind.
  22. I'm not familiar with the prospect you're referring to. However 4th lines are typically checkers or energy type players. Teams don't normally bring up prospects and bury them on the 4th line. Better to only bring them up if they can play on one of the top lines, otherwise it's better to leave them in the minors or junior to build confidence. Plus, bringing players up early would burn their entry level contract sooner, and would just get them closer to free agency by the time they start to really develop.
  23. Good luck to whomever signs Kovulchuk. That is if he doesn't end up in the KHL. It'll take major $$$ and contract term to sign him. He has offensive talent, but is a defensive liability.
  24. I was lucky enough to get to ride Vertigo during like the month and a half it existed.
