  1. This is sooooo "California"... bitching and trying to deflect blame to someone else about something that was their clearly fault to begin with. I'm in now way making excuses for any lack of customer service at Six Flags parks, but how many times to they tell you to put items in a fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo, etc, if you don't want to lose stuff? Sorry lady. Your fault for losing your phone. No one elses. Suck it up and get a new one and stop bothering other people. --Robb That's pretty much every where. I recently read a report that people my age who are coming in as business managers are generally regarded by upper management as "entitled". This is across the board America in general. We are entitled brats.
  2. They would need to take out the temple if they were going to try and make that work. Think about the position of the enterance to the temple relative to where windseeker is. The show building would be in front of the enterance itself. Lol The whole area would have to be reworked, and while its possible, I forsee it being unlikely.
  3. 1: helix - without a doubt the best lookinbf coaster by far, mack has really been stepping up their game the past couple of years. I really enjoyed Manta at SWSD even as simply a family coaster, and Im excited to read the reports as soon as it opens. I dream of making it to liseberg one day. 2: Medusa make over - While Ill be headed to chicago next summer, Im not all too excited about the RMC going in over at SFGA. The one I really am excited to see is Medusa though. Lots of airtime, some interesting inversions, imo it looks to represent a fuller and more satisfying experience. If not going big means I need to go home, then I guess Ill head home south of the border to Mexico City to ride this bad boy. 3: Harry Potter expansion: while I have no plans to visit Florida anytime soon, whats good for Florida is good for the resort property in california. Praying much success so they incorporate elements into USH's harry potter land (god willing that "Your Highness" signs off. 4: Unconfirmed: if knotts does any significant update of their Mine Train ride or any major reprofiling of ghost rider (topper track please) you can bump this to #1 as it would have the most immediate relevancy in any sort of coaster experiences I shall have next year.
  4. Nice! You made it into my new home! Looks like you had fun. The outdoors is really where oregon shines and it looks like you took full advantage of it! Sucks you couldnt make it out to silverwood. Ill be making it out there at the end of September.
  5. I think Medusa on its own made the park worth visiting, but this really helps seals the deal on that stamp for a world-class must ride coaster.
  6. Riptide lost all draw for me when they took out the water effects. That's a ride I would have rather seen go before windseeker.
  7. Californians, more specifically the average Knotts attendee Still a shame though, for what it was worth, I enjoyed windseeker and it never had a very long line all the times I rode. Lets see what else Knotts comes up with. My vote is Beer Garden! Mexican beer for everyone!
  8. When you're riding an RMC, you only need 1 minute... 1 minute because its so intense. 1 minute in heaven is better then 30 seconds in heaven. A lot of you are saying things like, "is that it?" But we know what you're really saying. "Aww yeah, thats it." Then you say you want some more. Not surprisingly. You'll get back in line and wait another 2 hours to do it all over again.
  9. B&M - I found medusa at SFKD terribly boring. The sea serpent has no punch to it, which is perhaps why b&m never made another one. ending was generic. GCI - Roar, another SFKD. Pacing is absolutely horrid. Its a wonderful layout which never really quite delivers. I preferred my experience on Gwazi. Intamin - Off the top of my head xcelerator might be the only intamin coaster I've been on, so I won't comment.
  10. ^ no I think I'd still take Mooseburger over Wendy's. Its a pretty decent burger over all.
  11. Hangar 24 Double IPA. Probably one of the more intense beers I've had. Pretty tasty, I bought a case awhile ago and got all my friends hooked on it.
  12. What a great park with an excellent collection of GREAT coasters. HELIX will no doubt be an exceptional addition to that lineup. Wish that parks in the states would do the same but it seems everything has to break a record.
  13. I really hope that they add that 1 or 2 attractions they need to push them there. Its been a long time since the last time I visited. Gold Rusher has been some fuel to get me interested again. How is their haunt event compared to Knotts? Any similarities in terms of quality?
  14. Great report Condor! Wish i could have made it out to the midwest with you for this one.
  15. Six Flags is really trying hard to attract this hip and edgy "yolo" demographic that has so much money to spend at their park.
  16. Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings - Father John Misty
  17. there's a burger joint out here in Portland called Little Big Burger. Absolutely amazing. If any one passes through, I highly recommend it. Fat Burger, Fiver Guys, and In N Out have nothing on this place. The only thing that would make it better is if they threw some grilled onions or mushrooms on top instead of typical cold onions they put on burgers.
  18. Hope these improvements continue! Initially I was pretty disappointed with the announcement of the mouse coaster, but once I heard they were renovating the log ride, and now that I've seen the final product of the boardwalk area, I must say they really stepped it up and I'm glad to say that I recant my initial sentiments. I hope to see more improvements like this for next season as well. Maybe a GR/MineTrain renovation?
  19. Yea this has to stop. They should be more conscience about their efforts. I'm also sensing missed opportunities to help boost their followers on social media.
  20. My ex told me she's worked with him when she worked ODV. She said that he never really came across as the brightest. Sounds like a strong case of "I didnt think this through."
  21. I had a feeling it was a cast member when I read it was dry ice. And now... it's been confirmed.
  22. ^ wow lol. I always thought Megatron had a face only a mother could love but here I was wrong the whole time.
  23. They've been trying to get these hotels built for years. Lets see if it actually happens. There's also been the discusion of connecting DLR directly to the GardenWalk at some point in order to help generate foot traffic.
  24. Did knotts... Dare I say it... Do a good job?
  25. I've never had a problem with the roughness of X2. If I was trying to marathon the coaster, I could see issues, but as it is the line is always so long that I'm lucky to get 1 ride in. And for 1 ride, I can tolerate the more extreme nature of the attraction.
