BUSCH GARDENS SOUTH AMERICA [RCT2]
netdvn replied to BelgianGuy's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Two issues... 1. River Round Up seems to remind me of an American South-themed ride, not a South American one. 2. Amazon Adventure's boats seem to stand out a little too much. Is there a way you can give it a darker, more earthy color to suit the South American theme? Otherwise, excellent park! The coaster looks interesting... -
Its 2 AM here in Virginia, I just read through that entire thread it is probably one of the funniest threads I've read on TPR in a while The beginning when everyone was taking sides was the best and the plot thickening at the end caught me off guard!

The Sunset Resort [RCT2]
netdvn replied to rctfan123's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Holy crap! That looks AMAZING!! And did you just say that this was your first completed section of the park? Overall, you're clearly one of the best RCT2 players on TPR. -

Two finals down, two more to go... On top of that, I've got to finish some late work... I'm gonna be burnt out by the end of the week.

PKI sticker? Face-Off photo frame?? KING COBRA PHOTO FRAME? You'd think that CF would at least notice that KC was removed and Face-Off was renamed Invertigo!! Although I strangely want the KC one! It looks like the Paramount (and KC) ghost still lingers. Oh yeah and awesome LSHoF pics. I can't get enough of those.

I could've sworn I saw a video of something like this a few years ago. I remember reading about a number of American highways that had roller coaster-style tracks with airtime hills that you could drive your car on as a tourist trap-style attraction, but its been so long since I've seen it, I'm not sure if it's still online or not. If I manage to find it, I'll definately post it here. EDIT: http://coasterbuzz.com/Forums/Thread/40006.aspx Here's a thread talking about the auto-coaster. Unfortunately, the link is so old, the links posted in the thread are all broken except the first one, which leads to an interesting site, but it hasn't been touched since 2007.

Old Disney Monorail found
netdvn replied to sccoasterfan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Woah what an amazing find! Even if it's considered "common knowledge" I had no idea somebody in Georgia was keeping one of the WDW monorails in storage. Last edit: Wow this was an original monorail too! Anyway, thanks for posting these. -

Independence Hall is in PA, not SoCal... Unless you were being sarcastic -
That concept has been done before with Turn of the Century at both Great America parks. The coaster had two airtime hills follwed up by two corkscrews afterwards... http://www.rcdb.com/ig3.htm?picture=8 The airtime hills were removed for loops in 1980 though when Marriott converted both coasterd into "The Demon".

Flordia Parks Blueprints Now Confidential
netdvn replied to Hercules's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm wondering... Aren't the plans for new rides/attractions already kept confidential to the point that pesky enthusiasts and employees from rival companies cannot get their hands them? Unless the plans somehow get leaked, I don't really understand why the Orlando parks have to pass a bill claiming that blueprints for rides/attractions should remain confidential, especially when they're already confidential to begin with. And what would terrorists do with ride/attraction blueprints anyway??? -

Excellent SFGAm pics you've posted. It seems that SFGAm is one of the better-looking SF parks out there. I DO have one gripe (besides the blue, but that's been addressed already) which is that the PTR is so photo-heavy, most of the pics are appearing as broken links on my POS computer. Shane did this exact same thing in his MGA update (strange coincidence?) and the exact same thing happened where many of the pics appeared broken. Overall the pics I was able to see were great.

TPR and Theme Park Artwork
netdvn replied to sfmmFREAK's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Dan's Theme Park Artwork Teaser Time This is a teaser for the next update I'm currently working on right now. Outlaw - Illegal Coaster Inspired by Cedar Point's Maverick, Outlaw is Cheddar Beach's newest coaster and the only Intamin coaster opening in North America 2009. The ride takes daring passengers on a journey through the Old West following the trail of an elusive outlaw as he blasts through buildings, dodges barriers, and causes mass chaos. Your job is to stop the outlaw dead in his tracks. Riders are launched from 0-75 mph in only 6 seconds and are sent over a 100 foot tall top hat, through inversions and into tight twists and turns. EDIT: The original Outlaw post... http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19001&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=271 PS: I do accept comments, praise, and constructive criticism... Don't be shy. Known for its record breaking Millennium Dragon and X-Scream coasters, this ride will be an excellent addition to the Cheddar Beach lineup. Outlaw from the top of the top hat, looking down below. Steel Eagle - The park's B&M hyper coaster, this pic is a bit rushed though. -

Does Ripley's have to take over EVERY cheesy tourist trap town? I can understand the museums, but 4-D theaters and mini-golf? -

1. None, spell check usually gives you correct spelling (unless the word is unusual), but it cannot capture grammar mistakes. 2. Because he's secretly a child molestar. Why does time seem to fly faster when you get older?
