  1. Tuesday along with last Friday, schools and businesses were closed due to freezing precipitation and ice. Temps got into the 20s. Current temperature now in Rosenberg, Tx is 39F with a high 63 and tomorrows high will be 73. So, snow, ice, sleet, and short sleeves all in one week. Texas weather is the best!
  2. ^I was about to say, Shockwave pulls more. Seriously, those loops are incredible. Most intense and amazing feeling in the world. One of these days I want to go and try out Mind Bender. It looks like a very intersting, classic coaster. The park looks great too.
  3. It certainly would fit in nicely in that area; however the footprint is so small they could easily add a few more flats there, too. With that in mind, a DC Universe expansion wouldn't be out of the question. Two major renovative projects back to back seasons, like a park overhaul. That rumor has been thrown around a bit too. On a different note, I feel that the kids expansion will be a hit with the kids. The promotional images look very nice and the ride selection is great, too. Definately a much needed addition to the park.
  4. Sure it is! You are right! Please post the next one. How is that iSpeed?! I was going to guess Ispeed too but I was like, "Nah, it's way too far off!" Really liking this game so far!
  5. We can't discount the ongoing rumors it's some sort of 4th dimension coaster- Perhaps a Zac Spin, or even better, one of those awesome S&S free spin coasters Robb just rode at the S&S plant (the prototype). But again, so many rumors have been thrown around it's too soon to guess. A wingrider would be nice, and a GCI. IMHO, anything would be nice to replace Flashback. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out until the 2015 announcement!
  6. The front page just changed! Love it! Major improvement!
  7. Unless your willing to spend money on flash passes, it's an absolute nightmare. I went when the original rattler was still open and waited about two hours for that, hour and a half for Poltereist, another two for superman . . . Absolutely crazy.
  8. I used to . . . Ok, still . . . Get bored during class and draw these all over my notebooks and folders. My ones from Junior high are littered with pencil layouts. Don't know what that one is though. That's a good one.
  9. BUMP Three back to back to back popped up. Again, thanks to the mods for quick responses on removing these spam threads. Y'all are great!
  10. I have to question why they are putting the bar and the kids slides in the same pool. But hey, it works. Parents need a drink and they can watch their kids at the same time.
  11. I want to say wood, but only because that is what they've been posting on their facebook page (as in pictures from the original Playland Park), but I'm not entirely sure. I heard wood somewhere but can't quite remember. Now that it is 'Adventure Pointe' that could have changed.
  12. Oh goodie! I see them! Thank God they are painting the floor. I figured they would do something about it one day or another but the gray looked so bad. It looks much nicer!
  13. Sort of disappointing but happy to hear about Greezed Lightnin' 2.0. It will be very interesting to see what they came up with. Certainly a premier reproduction wouldn't be out of the question. Bigger, faster, and with LSMs. It should be interesting, I can't think of a currently operating coaster that has a similar layout that isn't a Schwarzkopf shuttle. They did say that the replacement would be 'coaster-like', so we could not even be dealing with a coaster too.
  14. It was reported a few pages back she struck a steel support beam before landing on top of the tunnel.
  15. Now with NL2 you can set the trains to run backwards, so I imported the diving LIM shuttle from NL1 and converted it to Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast. I couldn't help but chuckle a bit when I clicked 'Freeze' to see the track. So far, so good with NL2. Still having a difficult time with the editor, though. All I've really experimented with is banking on an unfinished coaster from NL1, but I get the basics though. Practice, practice, practice! Also, will there be a way to add 'warning sirens' or whatever their called on all the coasters? I would really like to implement the siren that Poltergeist at SFFT blares out before it launches on some of my coasters.
  16. I am now running the Demo with all of the settings at their absolute minimum and oh sweet Jesus it still looks amazing. Framerate drastically improved (of course). . . . and I do agree with the past posts. The left ckick navigation feature is definately missed and should be considered for a feature update. Amazing job, dev team. Can'twait to see whats in store in the full version!
  17. The demo runs on my laptop but we're definitely on the laggy side. As for the intel problems, yes. If you just let it run it will load the park. I'm getting [hundreds] of 'failed to lead texture' messages too. Trying to figure something out about this lag before I purchase the game.
  18. As a fan of the books and the movies, I must say this a very accurate and amazing amusement park rendition. Nicely done; the arena section from the 74th hunger games is stunning, and I'm really enjoying president Snow's rose garden. I am very happy with your placement of Peeta's painting of Rue. Nicely done! Very excited to see where this goes.
  19. This is absolutely amazing. Incredible. The Dev team has outdone themselves. I do have a question regarding POVs. In the teasers, while riding the rides, the 'camera' or viewpoint is no longer - how do I put this correctly - 'mounted' and moves around based on track movements (i.e. If ride goes down to the right, the 'camera' turns to the right). Will there be a way to make POVs or 'ride' your rides with a 'mounted' POV option or setting? Sorry if this is confusing, it's a bit difficult to put into words . . .
  20. Fiesta Texas just needs that rumored woodie on the boardwalk, but other than that, I find the coaster selection there to be sufficient. Sea World SA definately needs one; when the other parks got their respective Mantas I held on to some glimmer of hope we would get a B&M flyer Manta or something but It never happened. Hopefully within the next couple of years. As for SFOT, it's imminent it is getting a coaster, its just when. But it needs one. Thats about it for me arguing about why my home parks deserves a new coastsr, but as for a park that is not my home park, Yes, SFStL gets my vote. The boomerang was a nice addition, but it is a boomerang, there isn't alot special about a boomerang, especially one two decades old.
  21. BUMP. Thanks mods for your quick response in taking these down. I've never seen one up for more than a few minutes.
  22. Interesting, I thought SFFT's Goliath was the lamest. The most intense, I believe, is SFOG's Batman. Probably due to the constant high head and humidity there. But honestly I haven't had a rough ride on a B&M invert. Backwards Batman smacked me around a little bit but that's because I was in the very back row. And it was backwards. I haven't ridden SFOG's but I'm with you on SFFT. It really isn't the most intense. Don't get me wrong, it is forceful and I do grey out, but I think the most forceful is Sea World San Antonio's. If I'm not mistaken, the ride is 'squished together', the layout was compressed to make it fit where it is, so the elements are a bit closer together thus making it a bit more forceful, but I don't know if there's any truth to that so if there is anyone who could validate that claim that would be nice.
  23. I found some off-ride footage of the Tower Coaster a long time ago and literally thought about it as soon as I saw the pictures posted. All I had to do was search 'scary roller coaster'. Let's watch . . . This might be it . . . Watch the rider's necks when the car goes down the first drop. So yeah . . . SBF gets my vote; I can't imagine how awful the knock-offs must be.
  24. ^^ When I participated in the travel channel film shoot at SFFT we had to marathon Goliath (the parks Batman Clone) and it was the only ride where we had to take multiple breaks. People were getting nauseous and getting headaches and were sprawled out on the station floor trying to recover. In the end only about 20 of us made it all the way through on that particular coaster shoot. The clones are pretty forceful, I enjoy them. I usually am only able to ride a couple of times, then I'll come back. Also, in that last screenshot from the webcam I believe you can see some orange track from the bat repainting in the top left corner. Try to look past the awesome looking B&M invert.
  25. The POV's that are filmed almost always make the ride look smooth. I was watching the Goudurix POV on my copy of Roller Coasters in the Raw HD, and it says before the POV starts, "the coaster is actually rough and the POV makes the ride look smooth." Robb's commentary is actually essential to the videos, they all look smooth but the commentary gives you an idea of how the ride actually is. "Wheeeeee" = Fun "TWISTYYYY" = The ride is twisty "OOOHHH!" = Airtime "Ouch/%#&@" = That was pretty painful . . . or something along those lines. In a way, the commentary is essential to the POV. You'll never get the full experience as your not experiencing the ride for yourself and feeling the forces, but it is good to get a general idea. And it's absolutely hilarious.
