The 230' one at the Galeston Pleasure Pier twists like that all the time because of the sea breeze. It adds to the fun. But 400' up, well that has to be a different story. I can't wait to ride this one and compare the two to eachother. I think this was the PERFECT attraction to replace the Chute Out. It's similar in a way, but more modern and up to date.

My biggest tip with the platinum, when they clear your flash pass reservation at the queue, Immediately schedule your next reservation before you even get on the ride. That's 5 - 10 minutes 'waited' depending on the flash pass entrance, and then the remainder of the wait time is spent getting to the next attraction. Your wait time even on the busiest days will be practically zero. I've used the platinum flash pass twice (and not considering cost as I've never PAID for one), they are great.

The only ride SFOT seemed to neglect aesthetically was ShockWave, but it just got a fresh coat of paint and looks so beautiful. SFOT takes great effort to care and maintain their rides, a faded paint job is the least of my concern for Sky Screamer. I can't wait to go out and ride this. It looks incredible.

Very Sad and catastrophic. My prayers are extended to those suffering with this terrible situation.

To enthusiasts, the flaws are obvious, but to the GP, it goes unnoticed. There is some fraction of truth to the claims, so they aren't totally false, but that's the nature of advertising. You can't just say "come ride, it's awesome." You in a way have to inflate the claims a little bit to the point where they are truthful, but not completely false. It is the worlds steepest drop (on a hybrid) and is the worlds first zero-g-roll (on a hybrid),so in this case, it's just missing information. But hey, it's effective! By the way, love the commercial! Very well done! I love the opening scene with the rattlesnake around the first drop! Its like Snakezilla!

HUGE thanks to Jaime and the crew again. Today literally was one of the best times of my life. I got to meet a bunch of new people and ride an insanely awesome coaster too many times to count. Overall it was just an incredible day. The ride ops were absolutely fantastic. I know it can be an exhausting task to appease several enthusiasts, especially on a new coaster that's so highly anticipated. By lunch, we hasn't ridden that much, but after the iPads they were filming us use to rate the coaster overheated (it got very hot today), they went straight to filming off ride B-Roll footage with a remote controlled helicopter thing (I'm assuming especially made for filming). Fred Grub made a cameo appearance, and the smile on his face when we all came back into the station each time clapping and cheering was priceless. The Iron Rattler is incredible intense, like Mrlittle said above, back left is the best. The back is where you get all sorts of crazy airtime especially on the first drop, the hill after the barrel roll, and going back down the quarry wall into the tunnel. The group of riders today was excellent; very enthusiastic and not a single person with their hands down. I think it's safe to say the footage filmed today is going to be great! I can't wait for this to air! Whatever number one is on your coater bucket list, just bump everything down one spot and put Iron Rattler in top. It's a must ride!

Today was a blast! The Iron Rattler is so intense. I was blaming out then next thing I know I'm upside down... Incredible. Doesn't even compare to NTAG. Iron Rattler is #1! ...and Jeffrey Siebert's voice sounds 10X cooler in person. 'Nuff said. Huge thanks to Jaime and the crew that operated the rides! Today truly was an incredible experience.

Oh a wing rider would be nice! Something to stand out on the corner of that intersection would be nice! Well, there is a 400 ft tall tower there now, but a wing rider would be cool! I'm excited to see what 2014 has in store for this park. And no, of six flags removes Titan, I will probably never return. Or Batman. They better not bring a crane anywhere close to Batman except to build a wing rider. I think both of the parks B&Ms next to eachother would be nice!

Last AP exam done and over with and I leave to San Antonio tonight! I'm very excited! The POV looks incredible! I'm sure it will deliver! I kind of like the speed going through the funky twisty part. It's fast enough to get through, yet slow enough to keep you hanging. Intense, yet slow enough to where you don't blow straight through it. It keeps it interesting! Very nice looking coaster!

The "Say Something Random" Thread

I just ate a lollipop, and inadvertently, the stick also. -
Wow! Looks like you get plenty of opportunities to ride! I got real jealous seeing the pictures posted on the park facebook page because I still have to wait a week to ride at the travel channel shoot! Wednesday is my last of 3 AP exams, and then my reward is some rides on the EPIC Iron Rattler! It's going to be worth the 2 1/2 hour drive!

Any chance the survey uses the word 'loop' as a more GP-ish word for inversion? Every time I go to Six Flags or some park, the GP says something along the lines of, "Look at that loop," to where I think, "Nonsense! That is a corkscrew/zero-g-roll/etc." if that's the case, this 'loop' could be anything including a RMC inversion, but if they mean 'loop' as we know it, then it actually means a vertical loop. Otherwise, it seems to me that they could be trying to appeal to the GP that take the surveys.
