Parc Asterix Discussion Thread

That looks like its going to be awesome! Particularly that last picture, reminds me a bit of Blue Fire's theming. -
The bigger question is can they hold it. Its far too early to start calling teams in first place yet imo. Once we hit the Winter Classic I'll be a bit more interested in the standings. Till then though, I will give a congrats to the Leafs - solid hockey so far this year.

I just started up Devil May Cry 4 from a steam sale. This game is freaking amazing!

I have seen it. -
Perpetual penalty kill for the Caps last night. I'm surprised the score was only 2-1...such a frustrating game to watch.

In order of my first priority to last. 1) Pay off all the loans for my family. 2) Take care of any major expenses for my family and friends (surgery, houses, cars, school, etc.) 3) Pay off the national debt (Why? Because it'd be baller!) 4) Travel the world. *Note: Private Jet? I think so. 5) Build my own town/city (depending on how many would be interested in living there) That's pretty much it. I'd just want to make sure all of my close family and friends are successful, then take my attempt at city building and use concepts borrowed from all over the world to make a beautiful society. -
Cruising with Theme Park Review 2011

I'm so jealous! This looks like a ton of fun, a cruise is definitely on the to-do list in the future. I can't wait to see the zip line, I saw a few preview pictures on facebook and it looked awesome! -
The "Brainstorm" Thread

I have a lot of unfinished designs and parks that I just never seem to get around to posting. Unfortunately my desktop just ate it for some reason, so I'm stuck with RCT 2. Right now I'm trying to build a Giga that interacts with pathways and water frequently. I'm having some issues getting the terrain to just my liking though, so I'm thinking about dropping some of the water elements. What do you all think? -
Really? 10-2-2 That's exactly why he's not better than Kolzig yet (I say yet, because lord knows I hated Kolzig). I'm not going to comment on the antics after the fight, but he apologized. The fight itself was stupid, and the Pens got lucky he didn't take an instigator for it. Beagle could have ignored him, taken the penalty and moved on. He chose to fight, and now we have this.

^ That was painful to watch live. I can hardly view it now :-/ As for the Caps goaltending situation, we're fine. Honestly, look at Carolina's goals on Neuvy - they were all three pass/four pass goals that our D should have interrupted that are difficult for ANY goaltender to track. Neuvy will be fine, especially after he gets his early season kinks out. Vokoun worried me against Tampa. 3 TERRIBLE, fluky goals that would have been easily fixed by hugging the post or keeping his pads together. But, after seeing his performance in Pittsburgh tonight I'm a bit less concerned. I don't like how slow he is to recover, and he doesn't seem to track the puck nearly as well as Neuvirth. He did make some spectacular saves though, and two goals on 30 plus shots ain't too shabby. TL;DR - We're fine in goal. Our D needs to step it up some (which they did against Pittsburgh), and our top line needs to produce (particularly on the Power Play). Other than that, we look solid. The 3rd and 4th line look and play phenomenally, Semin is playing some of the best hockey he's played in years, and Ovi is finally getting physical. Its way too early to call anything a disaster.

Mooreville Amusesment Park [RCT2]
Yamez replied to funkeymon's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
If you're willing to re-theme that area some, you look like you have some room to expand it out into the water a bit with a nice cornerstone attraction. Its hard to tell without a good look at the overall park of whats going on in that area. Other than that though the park is beautiful. -
^ If he was trying to get everyone off of the ride, he very well may have still been in the water. Can't really blame him for trying to get everyone else safe, the only question that comes to my mind is how fast is their closing procedures for lightning? Did the call not go out fast enough? Everything else is just sad, and as Elissa said, very much a freak accident

The biggest thing I can personally say about CS vs NonCS is the poly count. I created an entirely NCS park for a competition, Trials of Atlantis, and had MASSIVE amounts of lag before I tried to custom support it. And my machine isn't exactly something to scoff at either: 2.5ghz intel quad core i5 processor GTX 460 GFX card 8GB DDR3 RAM I'm currently tweaking around with some CS, and from my experience I'm getting the same amount of lag from CS vs NCS parks. As for creativity, to each their own.
