  1. http://www.rcdb.com/id2385.htm Some do! Just to catch you up, no one ever agrees on what counts and what doesn't. The only thing we do agree on is that 1) The right way to count is the one that you like and 2) It doesn't matter. That being said rcdb.com and coastercounter.com are good primers. Bring on the "S:TE counts as two!" and the "Devils Den is a woodie JERK!!1" arguments.
  2. Am I the only one that thinks that Magnum is a total bottom 5 coaster? What is the appeal? The restraints are awkward, the trapazoid airhills suck, and the whole thing rumbles like crazy along the course. Sure, in '89 it must have SEEMED like it was the best thing ever but every time I bring that up some pointer is all "Well, you just don't know how to ride it, burp!" I call shenanigans, I've ridden that coaster every trip to the point a few times and I still get smacked by the lapbar from the stupid air-trapizoids and shaken like a paint-can. I mean sure, the view of the lake is nice but people make it seem like Jesus himself rode it to the easter egg patch, what gives? ehh, I put it between Manhatten Express and Desperado which I think is an offramp between Yermo and Zyzxx. -Confused
  3. What was this topic again? Oh yeah, heh, I love these split topics! GASM- I really liked this coaster. I actually got a re-ride in the front seat my first time on it. Also Monica and I were the only ones in the train! It was a nice april morning with complete silence except for the usual coaster sounds. So nice not having idiots screaming right behind you. This coaster really reminds me why I'm into coasters in the first place. After endless SLCs and kiddie coasters it's nice to ride something that I actually enjoy for once. Yay GASM! On the Juggalo tip- Yeah ABK is off the tour apperently. I just saw them in Long Beach and the show was awesome. Mike Clark wasn't there because he's back in Detroit working on the Tempest apperently but PDM was much better than I was hoping for. Mo just saw the tour in San Francisco (I had to work) and they played a much shorter set, weird. 'Story of our lives' live is totally off the hook whatever you heard, nerd. Spike "Should we have our own Weekly Freekly?" Nuts
  4. Someone just used some cryptic collectiion 3 for his Silver Dollar City vid. Don't tell Jamie and Paul. Spike "Guess what I used for Holiday World last year!" Nuts Woot Woot!
  5. Wow, back in may when I posted I was only at 397, now I have 530. Wow, is that some kind of record? To think, Zonga opened in 2003 as my 75th coaster. Does that mean I rode 455 new coasters in 2 years? Hmmm, I think I shoud get to vote again. I just moved myself into a higher coaster tax bracket! -Don "Will be getting 600 next year, easy" Garrison
  6. I don't know if you remember me from then or not. I was the guy who would point and say "Bunny" with chocolate all over my hands. Too bad we wern't homies back then. At least clowns is back this year, hopefully Manic Depresso well return as well. fishy <-- Juggalo
  7. Hurricane stuff, WTH does that mean? And Joey, are you the Bunny in C3? If so I want to jump in the furry pile in the corner of that room...or just say what up or something. I love me some stuft animals. -Jeezor
  8. I'm kinda wondering if all the people that are saying maXair and the screamin swing are similer rides have actually ridden a Screamin' Swing before. I've ridden two Giant Frisbees and 3 Swings, one being a 32 seat model, and they cant be more different. I really really like them and I think that the larger capacity makes the ride even more fun due to all the people riding along with you. I really can't think of another ride I'd rather see the point put in (save a dark ride, funhouse, or trampoline). Am I the only one excited about the new swing? Besides, what else could that piece in the parkinglot possibly be? Dueling micro halfpipe coasters? And CF did get a package deal, check out valleyfair.com. -Don
  9. Thats weird, because I thought it was a really good ride. Maybe that just says something about Dorney and capacity. It looks like we have a park that has finally figured it out. I'm sure the waterpark helps with that alot. -JJ
  10. I've got one, anybody remember Gravity Max? Too bad this idea never caught on with the folks at the stratosphere. It is the first and only tilt coaster after all.
  11. Is it too early to start calling the new flyer "Tulsa"? It's either that or 'Taste You'
  12. Awesome pics there dude, this all seems eerily similer to this time last year. OMG is that the track? I knew that these were plug'n'play woodies but I've never actually seen how the construction process goes. I would love to get a tour of the factory that makes the track. Someone is definately wearing the over-engineering pants in Switzerland. Looking forward to another off season of GAdv pics from across that lake again. -Deezy
  13. Here is a Schwarzkopf designed coaster that I've heard absolutely nothing about. It was put in just last year too. http://www.rcdb.com/ig2867.htm It's called Big Whirl Wind and its at some park in St. Pertersburg Russia While I don't believe it was ever really hyped around here, it is in a forgotten part of the coaster world! Tell me thats not a kick ass location for a coaster Dude this hill looks awesome Check out the size of this thing
  14. 57, 605, or 710 north to 210 west to the 5. Never ever ever take either the 405 or 5 through LA, ever. 5 in valencia = cool 5 in OC = just fine 5 in burbank, glendale, downtown = teh dumb
  15. I don't see why they never attached all the cars into a long train like every other park on the planet with this same ride has. Then in case of emergency a diesel powered "mule" can drag the train back to the station. Honestly...
  16. Sure, sounds fun. I love being at the park on a haunt day. The Xcelerator re-rides are great as long as you can put up with Mantis Man talking into his hand and his mytery bag of doom. Anyone else up for filling yourself with berry punch beforehand? -Don
  17. ^ Well, its made out of wood for one. Gemini is a racing Mine Train for those of you following along at home.
  18. All rockets have upward launches. Thats how the train gets back to the station after a rollback. Unless it's like KK and falls apart at the base of the tophat. -D
  19. I'm planning on it so far. So, uh, Don +1. I'll be at the park beforehand if any of y'all wanna hang out then... -Don
  20. I'm putting together a video of theme park trashcans. I'm totally gonna sweep the contest next year! Coasters, bah! Gimme some garbage POV!!
  21. ^ does that say 420 by any chance? I'll take either one of those, or a 666 one!
  22. How would you like this under your bed?
  23. ^is going to have blood drawn VJust been schedualed for a Barium Enema
  24. I found this on the Paul Bunyan Adventure Golf site, you know, the place in the dells with a coaster they've had set up since 04 that never opened. thought it was funny. The caption "Our Toy Guns Are Not Only For Boys But Also For Girls With A Sense Of Adventure!"
  25. OMG dude, they put sundae toppings on milkshakes! The Turtle shake is the best, Vanilla shake with Hot Fudge, Caramel, and almonds...awesome! Plus they have Grilled Cheese right on the menu, I don't have to order off the kids menu there, score! S&S is my happy place.
