  1. I'm sure you've seen this one before. It's all I got right now
  2. I would say Dorney is probably my favorite of the "other" Cedar Fair parks. It is weird that Hydra never seems to have a line. Then again, it's a B&M, not a mouse so I can understand that somewhat. If only their waterpark had some Proslide products in it. What is it about CF waterparks? They are all so "bleh" when it comes to slides. Um, hello...Cannonbowl...Tornado...anyone?! I like your TR so far, you have me eager to see if your brother makes it to 100 or not! -Don /waiting on the next entry!
  3. But its an boiled egg wrapped in sausage, dipped in eggs, rolled in breadcrumbs and baked! I'm not an egg person anyway though so I wouldn't suspect I'd enjoy it anyway. Glad someone likes 'em though!
  4. ugh, heres the recipe: http://www.aeb.org/recipes/appetizers/scotch.html dude, seriously...
  5. I found this picture in a Fark photoshop contest but I can't tell which one it is. It is apparently a white Boomerang with an Arrow train. What might give it away is the landscaping below it. I'm gonna go ahead and guess it was that one from Austraila that was shipped over to Visionland this year. Anyone else wanna guess? from http://forums.fark.com/cgi/fark/comments.pl?IDLink=1605225
  6. Eh, Stengle probably designed it according to WDI's layout and Intamin brokered it, that one company that does PLC's probably did the PLC. I'm sure Disney did the landscaping and spot welded those suns all over the structure though. Oh, and Screamin has pinchies and LIM boosters. They may even have backup kicker tires, I haven't really looked that closely (or care to). -D
  7. Your right, it uses LSMs. Mummy is the bomb, btw. -Deezy
  8. So thats what all that scaffolding was for last week. Man that looks creepy. What is Disney thinking, releseing a non-Pixar CGI film. Bah!
  9. Allright except what do you do when you get gum stuck in your fur?
  10. Insane Clown Posse, WHUT!! and Kottonmouth Kings...but I don't smoke weed, weird huh?
  11. I guess I should put some up for y'all. And heres one of me at Magic Mountain. Ladies, you may drool now. Heres Monica and I at Blackpool (Can't you tell!)
  12. This coming (pun) from a 14 yr old. You probably think Dragonball Z is better than the big "O" By "O" of course I mean Oprah... Don "For the record likes all of the Rockets more than stupid Magnum" G
  13. I was just out there and I really liked Vampire. Can you imagine Big Bad Wolf with those trains!? Dragons Fury is the best of the Maurer spinners I've done (4) and I really liked how they used the terrain. I had way more fun at Chessington than I did at Thorpe. Collossus and Inferno were really good though. Don "Yay Tussades" Garrison
  14. Well, Playland is probably the most expensive pay-per-ride park in the country. It doesn't seem far fetched to have a parent stand by while their kids ride stuff. The Old Mill ride in question is quite long and very extensive. It doesn't look like much from the entrance but it travels most of the length of Dragon Coaster. Personally, I wouldn't trust my kid alone on a 5 minute darkride but I can see how a parent might not think twice about it judging from the outside. I'm curious about who is monitoring the cameras inside the ride. I know there is a single Op dispaching boats but there has to be an operations desk some where. Garfields Nightmare at Kennywood is a very similer ride and has loads of cameras all along its course. The whole thing is terribly sad of course but I don't see that anyone is really to blame. How long has this ride been operating anyway, 80 years? Don "Always stays in his boat" Garrison
  15. Last i checked Jackson didn't have a coaster at Neverland. Have I been misled? I was once thinking of volunteering for Big Brothers or United way just so I could go there. "Here Michael, watch the little guys, I'mma ride your dragon wagon!"
  16. After a west coast bash a few years ago I got all the X rides that I'll ever need. Promising news about Deja Vu and Superman though! Those are the only rides I really interested in now anyways. Looks like Monica will finally catch up to me credit wise. I may actually get my 2nd lifetime ride on vu too, nice! -Don
  17. Great, thanks Eric! looks like Monica is going to get her 'Vu credit (finally!). -Don
  18. We're going to the park next week and I was just wondering if Deja Vu has been open recently. Also has superman been open at all? If so which sides have been running? Thanks, I haven't seen a recent TR anywhere. I just wanted a quick update. Don "I'll post official times if anyone wants to meet up" Garrison
  19. I hear they can be pretty fun to work at. Look for the haunt boards on westcoaster to be lighting up in a few weeks. Remember though, if your working youmay not have time to actually see the other mazes in the park. That reason alone has kept me from working Holloween events, as fun as I know they are. Oh, and you will be hit by guests. Just be sure to have good security around to throw them out of the park. I love watching ***holes getting thrown out! -Don
  20. We took an Easyjet flight out of Luton to CDG form around 30 pounds each way. Once at CDG there is a direct bus to the Resort but its about 14 euros per person. The RER station couldn't be closer to the airport though and its only one transfer to Marnee-la-Valley if you want to save some money. Don "Save money getting there and spend more at the park!" Garrison
  21. Wow, I live in Santa Rosa. I should check out the Smart car guy (they were too heavy for carry-on.) Yes, we did the Magic House! I noticed right away that it was the same ride manufacturer that made Hex. It's still the most convincing haunted swing type ride I'v ever seen. A great step up from the Duch wonder house at Dutch Wonderland thats for sure. I've never been able to ride the "Houdini's Great Escape's" at the six flags parks because they've never been open. Does anybody know if there are anyother haunted swing rides like Hex or Hagic House? Oh, and Robb, were already thinking of doing a quick Tokyo Disneyland trip (3-4 days) in November! After seeing how cool Paris was we HAVE to check out TDL and TDS. Anyway, Magic House was really cool. Actually their whole childrens area was award winning. I don't know how Kings Island won best kids area. Gardaland was like a kiddie Disneyland unto itself. Ghoster Coaster isn't even ever open! Don "Who has PKI been sleeping with anyway?" Garrison
  22. Oh man, I was trying to forget about the holiday inn check in. Basically Justin went ape**** on the clerk when he demanded that we all give him all 70 of our passports for a few hours so they can copy the information from everybody. Problem was that when making the reservations he was told it wouldn't be nessisary otherwise we would have brought extra copies to hand them. I caught the tain end of the altercation on video and snapped a few pics. Oh, and I just watched the POV's of the Alpine coasters. You guys might wanna send in your DVD preorders now so I know how many to make. Luckily the native american with the whips wasn't nessisary, but we had him on alert just in case. Yngve and Phil enjoy the specticle safely from the sidelines. We decided to make a tense situation even worse by being as much a nusience as possible. Hey, were on vacation right? Here is the clerk taking the full frontal assult from the European Coaster Club
  23. OK guys, it took me all weekend but I finished my massive Photo TR. I hope you guys liked it. Now I have just under 7 hours of video to sort through for this years DVD set. Keep posting your comments though, they're fun to read. And thanks to everyone on the boards who helped me out when I was planning this trip. The only coaster on the entire trip was the one at Parc Asterix and that was a bonus park anyway. I'm tired, Yay!! -Don
  24. Our last day in the UK was spent at Chessington. I was told it was a small park but I actually found alot to do there. I'm so glad we went. Monica says, "I'm the last picture, I'm going to our Holiday Inn now. Thanks for reading!" I found some more funny signs in London. This little guys says "Thanks for reading the TR! It took Don all weekend but he hopes you all enjoyed it!" I can't believe this is the only picture of Vampire I took. Anyway, this is my favorite suspended. The floorless trains add so much to this ride. Imagine if Big Bad Wolf had these! I thought this was funny for some reason. heres the drop. Their log flume had a far east theme. You go right into this dragons mouth. My 500, and actually a really good coaster to boot.
