PhotoTR: Easter Weekend in Italy (Part III)
Crazy_Behemoth_Lady_Jess replied to milst1's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Yeah, rope courses always looked really neat to me (as I love nature), but I could never touch one as my fear of heights gets me every time. Why I can stand coasters? Because I know I'm not flyin' out of that train anytime soon at over 200ft in the air! Still looks like a nice lil park anyways. -

Which new trains? I thought Carolina Cobra was the first for the new trains. How was the screamin' squirrel? Especially that hangtime! -

I have done that many times. Speaking of math class, I'd sometimes find myself flipping through math textbooks (sometimes of other grades than mine) to look for pictures of rollercoasters or any sort of rides! Guilty? Yes, definately. -

Dog poop, well my dog gets sad every time I pack up the suitcases. And pack up suitcases = travel. What is something I can do on my travels? Ride coasters! A pine cone....Well a pine tree. Where would you find a tree? in a park. What type of park? Amusement park. What can else can you find in an amusement park? Rollercoasters! -

I just have a tendency to associate anything and everything with coasters. Whether it's eating a bowl of popcorn while watching a movie or even a physics lesson on kinetics! Oh yes, planes, such an easy one to associate in many ways. I wish I could draw...Then I'd be sketching rollercoasters during my free time! ~ Jess "Try me, name something" Chan -

That's too bad you had a bad experiance. Now you know why I made the following picture... http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=300&pictureid=1827 Just because you don't fit into a ride doesn't give the ride op the right to hurt you, but in china, theres no regulation on alot of things. I'm not sure if amusement rides are one of them... Isn't that LIM spaghetti bowl mad cobra? ~ Jess "Launch me up, Jim Seay (as a spoof of Beam me up Scottie)" Chan -

Atleast those new trains don't have horrible headrests (i can understand they're needed on some rides) or high seat backs to restrict the awesome view of the park. There's nothing wrong with upcharge attractions, just that they cost more. They make good money for hte park. -

This is making me excited about when I go to China in december... Especially that inverted wild mouse, looks fun! How was flame meteor? Rough? Badly maintained? Atleast it's a real Vekoma unlike that cheap knockoff somewhere in Beijing. -
I don't like to take anything before going on rides because some medications can affect your tolerance to acceleration (G-force). I don't have such a good tolerance already and I don't want to have to make another trip to the first aid station!!! I don't want to risk passing out. Usually if I get sick on rides its usually hte end of the day so I'd go home and hit the sack. ~ Jess "The wannabe aerospace medicine expert" Chan

Yup, definately bad for capacity for sure. Attention riders of thunderbolt, you may expect some loading delays so please don't get pissed off at the park management! Playland's Coaster, Coney Island Cyclone and Knoebel's Twister and Phoenix are perhaps the most efficient loaders i know of. ~ Jess "Stop bastardizing the beautiful woodies with modern features" Chan -

Bizzaro looks quite cool actually. I wanna ride it! The "Sports Zone" seems like it's trying to knock off Cedar Fair's "Challenge Park" idea I have a feeling... Nice TR anyways! ~ Jess "Sick of all these knockoff ideas" Chan -
I had to skip THBS too because of motion sickness. Hell, even batman gave me a headache afterwards. I'm wondering whether it's the G force or the "jerking" every time it goes through an inversion (5 times). I'm wondering, will Flight Deck be like taht too? Even with my motion sickness, I still go on the Top Spin at my local park and I never really get sick. I guess it's either because the program Playland has for it is too mild perhaps? I don't know about the program Firefall has though. Is Firefall really THAT painful/bad? I've only been on 1 Huss Top Spin and that's at my local park. It's a first generation I think.

Six Flags Haircuts?!

Erm, they do go together in a very remote way. As I chopped off my crazy 4 years of hair just so riding coasters can be less problematic (as well as several other underlaying reasons). Every time I go on some rides (especially loopers), I am kinda paranoid about my hair flying around and getting caught in a mechanism or something! Or going on B&M/Vekoma flyers and it getting pinched by the harnesses. And plus, the summer/spring heat I have to be exposed to walking around at a Six Flags park! I can't imagine how much worse it would've been if I had my hair down to my lower back! -
Ah ok thanks. (I'm just worried because when I was at SFOT I wasn't expecting crowds to be so bad but almost every major coaster had lineups up to 2 hours, thank god I had my flashpass) I do plan on doing afew of the flats. I'm kinda nervous about touching Drop Tower as I'm afriad of heights and I hate the anticipation when I rode the one in Canada's Wonderland. I'm trying to build up the courage! (My dad might ride with me as he's never ridden a tower ride before and he's just as nervous) Is Firefall painful? Like most HUSS Top Spins? Flight Deck I"m pretty excited to ride too, is it as good as Batman: THe Ride? I know it has less inversions and it's that long of a ride either. ~ Jess "I lost my B&M virginity to B:TR" Chan

I usually get so hyped up because of the anticipation of even waiting in line and all that. I'll scream if I get really scared and don't know what else to do but I end up laughing hysterically after 2 seconds and just get super hyper even after I get off the ride. On rides that I've been on multiple times, where I don't even get scared any more, I sometimes might just put my arms up on the drops and say "whohoo" just for the hell of it.
