UFC 2008 - enjoyed until I played online I have moved back to MLB 2K8 for 360 and Test Drive: Eve of Destruction for original x-box for now. Want to play the Ghostbusters game, but get better places to spend 60 bucks.

^^^ Not sure why with the no re-rides on Mr. Freeze in Texas. I've gotten re-rides on the SF STL version no problems. The re-ride policy (or lack there of) has always bother me at parks.

Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
monsterfan99 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hopefully all stays well for those that want to ride it this year. I rode it earlier this year and did not enjoy it at all. While bad, it was better then Mean Streak by a large margin. The one thing I will always remember of the ride is when I joking said to my fiancee we should ride it again. Her response, and I have been with her almost 5 years, was "If you seriously want me to ride that again, I will leave you." She was not kidding and she loves wooden coasters. -
I got a chance to see Chess in Concert last night on PBS. Great show and about the only thing I have liked Josh Groban in.

Six Flags Great America Flash Pass
monsterfan99 replied to bigjohnson51's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ The 89 price might be for only the regular one, not the gold. I know the gold one is around 100 for just 2 people and they do tend to go early. For crowds, they are already getting thick right now but not awful. When I went last summer in middle August, the crowds were big but manageable. Hitting the rides that tend to load slow (Superman, Ragin Cajun, V2) is a big key to doing all the coasters in a day with no flash pass or the regular. If you just want to do coasters, you might be able to do them all in a day if you are there open-close and pick a good strategy. I will be hitting the park many times between when you go and now, so I'll try my best to let you know on crowds as it gets closer. -
^ Agree with the flat rides not being good at all. I've also seem King Chaos break down a good 4 times in the last 2 weeks as well. Which sucks as I enjoy the ride. With revolution, try riding it being the only person in the ride. The thing is beyond bumpy and just feels weird. I would also take maXair over it (except during Fright Fest as well.) However, I enjoy the smaller version of maXair even better. Got a chance to ride the one at Adventureland and loved it. With the black train on the Demon, it looks outstanding. The really got some TLC during the off season and it shows.

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

Last night at SF Great America, I went to ride Raging bull. There was a person trying to hide a basketball under their clothes. They were stopped and told to use a locker for the basketball to which they said "what basketball?" The problem was, they hid it under a clear poncho. -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

The Dark Knight at SF Great America last night during a downpour. -
Agree with getting a check-up from a doctor before hand. Also, if you want to do this for a record, you must contact Guinness world records first. They send out a rep from there. Their rules are 24/7 coaster ridding with 5 minute breaks, train can only be in the station 5 minutes to load people (and rider can not get off) and if you change rides it counts as part of your break.

^ Agree 100% percent with you on that one. Blew my mind whne I saw that. My rant is at Wolf Cameras online store. I ordered a camera on their Saturday that said was in stock and ready to ship. Well, it turns out they lied and will be around 4 weeks til it ships. So what do they do, they charge me already despite what their "policy" is.

Defiantly spend 2 days at EPCOT, amazing park.

^ Will be interesting if they do keep all parks or how long they wait to sell of. Interesting they will keep Snyder on the board after all of this but makes seance. The last line is a great move by Shapiro. He knows who he is talking to with this story, families who value safety over everything. Kudos to him.

With American Eagle racing, there is really no way to do it. You with race down the first part until the giant helix or you race the 2nd half the ride. I have gotten lucky once this year where they were able to make the 2nd half of the ride race. I think that might have been the best ride I've had on AE yet and was quiet enjoyable.

Please help with seat size advice.
monsterfan99 replied to coastersrule85's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is the truth right there. At Cedar Point, my friend failed the Top Thrill and Wicked Twister test seat and fit easily on both. Myself failed the Top Thrill by an inch and needed help with the belt as it was shorter then the test seat. With MF there, I failed by a good 3 inches and on the ride itself, had some 3 inches in slack left when the belt was done. -
Perforated edges As a child, my house would get the "please join us, we need money" packages from Columbia House. Inside them, up until around 2000 or so, was a giant sheet of stamp like pictures of each movie (or cd) you could pick. To me, those days when they came in the mail were like Christmas. To this day I love junk mail just for the for the simply joy of tearing a perforated edge.

^ It was a lot of stuff dealing with when he tried to open up places in St. Petersburg, FL. He lied on his bio and got caught. He was fired, the show continued, and he was brought back in the last year. The order of invites to fill the place went ACE members, coaster enthusiast / facebook contest then season pass holders(I asked one of the PR people running it as I was curious too.) The event was great and my personal highlight was meeting Marc Summers. I grew up watching Double Dare then What Would You Do? He was as polite as an producer during a shoot could be and took pictures with anyone that asked. -
^ Agreed there. It is great fun getting the dry people on land. Heck, on land you get just as well as Loggers Run. The one thing i have noticed is a ton of people use the land cannons, but not many people on the ride. It seems like they should have made the ride part in Hurricane Harbor and the land guys in the theme park side, but oh well. Hopefully it finally starts to warm up around here, but it's not looking good. The Weather Channel has it being 80 or over just twice between now and the 23rd. That could put a damper on the ride.
