  1. Though I cannot for the life of me find the picture of it right now, Timber Wolf at Worlds of Fun has a sign at its entrance saying "Extreme vibrations and roughness are a nature of this ride. Do not be alarmed." You know you're in for a treat when they warn you at the entrance to a ride. I've been on worse though...
  2. If anyone out there has a TPR magnet, I'd gladly trade one of my TPR Pens (Yellow) and a TPR Chapstick as well! PM me if interested.
  3. I'm not a big fan of podcasts but this one was all kinds of awesome! I was when you were describing TPR's quality. "6...maybe 6.5 on a good day." Classic! I've never met you Robb, but after listening to this I know we'd get along quite well. Keep the good stuff coming!
  4. Is there a law out there that says the vast majority of Boomerangs have to have a hideous color combination and a train that does not match? That new train looks awesome, but extremely out of place on that ugly track. What a missed opportunity. It could have looked intimidating, but instead it looks like a clown threw up.
  5. That was an exceptionally cool report. Thanks!
  6. Outstanding report! Great photos and captions. Makes me wish I was with you! It seems like you had a blast. I look forward to reading your next one.
  7. Another awesome TR. Whoever thought up funnel cake fries is a genius. I wish they would overtake the "standard" funnel cake. I love 'em, but they're almost a hassle to eat.
  8. Check out this story about a SPACE SHUTTLE COMMANDER who is afraid of coasters. Unbelievable. - -Read the Story
  9. Nice TR. How was Saw's pre-show?
  10. That minigolf course looked insane!
  11. If my business trip plans hold up, it will be at Worlds of Fun...probably Patriot or Mamba. (I won't forget Prowler though.) If the plans don't hold up, it will be my usual Holiday World...Voyage or Raven.
  12. I was thinking about it this weekend and wondered: do you think a 24 hour park theme park would work out? Obviously, a major concern would be staffing. My guess is that rides would have smaller crews after hours. Food & games would probably be minimally available until regular hours. Unfortunately, I'm just not sure if attendance figures would cover the cost to keep the parks open. They're barely covering them as it is in some cases. However, having the run of the park through the night would be awesome. What do you guys think?
  13. I don't know why she's suing. After all, she got the exceptionally rare Bench:TR rollback credit!
  14. This TR has made my day. I just can't stop smiling! I know Parker will never forget this bday. Ever. You guys are awesome. I'm a big WoF fan too and have plans to make it back there in May. I can't wait until my 2 boys are a little bit older and I can hit them up with surprises like this as well. Well done! Parents of the Year!
  15. ^^ My guess is that TPR would still stay free. But by paying for the "membership" (which would be 100% optional) it would qualify cardholders to receive discounts and attend special events that parks hold for "card carrying coaster club members" only. My suggestion is to give out the card free with every TPR store purchase. So you've satisfied the condition that the membership is "paid" for, but not changed the site's pricing model. But seriously, can you really tell me that the content TPR provides isn't worth $25 a year? ($10 with the $15 store credit)...
  16. Here's a good TR of VIP at Cedar Point: http://www.pointbuzz.com/Forums/Thread/21708.aspx
  17. I'm always a sucker for The Music Man. And for all intensive purposes, South Park the Movie is a fantastic musical as well.
  18. Revolution is awesome. Opryland had the only other copy of that ride (Vekoma Illusion) in Chaos. Of course that's long since been sold for scrap. It's a shame too. It was always my favorite. Did they have the full ride show (including the video screens on the floor and celing) running? I can still remember the music...
  19. TV is terrible these days. I only like older stuff: Everybody Loves Raymond Wings I Love Lucy The Simpsons (First 10 Seasons) There are a few current shows I'll watch but there's nothing that I DVR on a weekly basis.
  20. Hell Yeah! Martha Wash has some pipes! I still love me some BB & C&C! Once again, video kills the radio star.
  21. No shame here - I'll proudly say that I own the first Milli Vanilli album. I don't care who's really singing, those are some good & catchy songs. The "Girl You Know It's True (NY Subway Remix)" will always be one of the all time great-remixes out there.
  22. Everyone thinks it's a horror movie, but Saw I is actually one of the finest psychological thrillers ever made. Second only to Silence of the Lambs in my book. Everyone I've shown it to has loved it, even those who hate "horror" movies.
  23. I'm a big fan of Saw (1-3 anyway), but I wish they had put this indoors. It could have been so much more... Here's a link to the test-run video in case you missed it:
  24. Unfortunately, I own the first Spice Girls CD. Doh!
  25. Listen to your instinct on that one. I have an 02 325i. And while it's the most amazing car I've ever had the pleasure of driving, the upkeep on it is a real nut-buster. Whatever you're used to paying for repairs on your car, triple that (at least) if you get a Bmer. I haven't had too many problems with mine, but I always get a sick feeling whenever I have to take it in. Thankfully, I also have my handy 02 Accord that runs like a beast for pennies!
