  1. Looks cool. I plan on heading up to La Ronde sometime this year, though I'm not too sure if I'll have the ambition to head up to Quebec City too for the coaster there. If I make it that far, I may as well tackle Tree Topper!
  2. Idol has been disappointing so far this year, with the exception of Chris. The judges are getting old and predictable. Paula is on some happy drugs, thinks everything and everyone is wonderful, and I think she can see the music in colors! Randy needs to add more words to his vocabulary than just dude, dog, and "that was hot". Poor Simon is the only one who is honest, and half the time they cut him short, the other half you can't understand him! A good portion of the remaining contestants annoy me. Taylor with his seizures, Kelly with her stupidity, Ace with his deer in headlights look, Paris and her thinking she's 26 and not 16, and Elliot with his knee dancing. The themes lately have stunk too, country, Queen, and now next week Rod Stewart?! I can't wait to see the Beatles, Winger, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and the Mamas and the Papas. (actually, they wouldn't be bad considering what they've had so far!) I hope Chris does win, but even if he doesn't, he'll make it farther than any of them! I think Pickler would get lost in her dressing room while on tour if she even manages to figure out how to get into the recording studio.
  3. Those lizards were pretty entertaining at first. I thought the site was hacked or I had a virus, until I confirmed with Robb. Those buggers were hard to catch, and then they did nothing when you did actually catch them.
  4. That's a pretty cool looking place. Soon he's going to have all the good stuff from Magic Mountain and be able to reopen the park in its heyday right down the road. That'd be cool!
  5. A few people thought she has high blood pressure, looks like they were correct. Its sad that she had to die, but you can't blame the ride or the park, as the first warning on the sign is "Do not ride if you have HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE"! Just because she's German doesn't excuse her. I can think of pretty much every thrill ride in the known world that also states not riding if you have high blood pressure. Disney certainly better not have to put the warnings in EVERY possible language just to cover their butts, it annoys me already that they have to say everything in Spanish as well as English.
  6. I ended up being Millennium Force, which I guess is ok. Its my favorite ride at CP, if that's saying anything. At least its made by a great company! This quiz had more options and better questions than the last quiz, but its still just meh.
  7. That's too bad. And to think, I was going to buy a PSP just for this game. Thanks for saving me the cash!
  8. Wow, that's REALLY bad! Wonder if she'd move her offices to the Anaheim section of New Orleans after the election. She brings promises of FastPass, Blue Bayous, nightly fireworks, and Mr Depp moving into the area if elected!
  9. "Possessions"- Evan's Blue
  10. USA, Canada, Bahamas, United Kingdom (England, Wales), France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands.
  11. ^Awesome, Guy! Well said. Not everyone has been blessed with riding those horrible dive machines all over the world (but I have, so nah nah! ) and its nice to see another park about to get another one. If you don't like it or care for them, that's one less person in line holding me from riding again. I like Dive Machines, I LOVE Sheikra, and I think Guy is awesome. Wanna fight about it?
  12. "Everytime we Touch"- Cascada
  13. ^Because since they found it when they did, they have a better chance to treat it, either with sugery, radiation, chemotherapy, etc. Had it not been found when it was, it could have progressed in size, thus making treatment more difficult. Nothing SAVED her life thus far, but it did make her aware that something was wrong.
  14. Maybe they should start requiring people to take physicals while in line for the ride. Sucks that someone died AGAIN so soon, but I have a feeling the ride is not to blame, other than a pre-existing condition that the lady didn't pay attention to. Oh, and I blame Intamin because they didn't build the ride, and if they did, this would have never happened!
  15. I think they need to focus on building up their 4th park a little bit more before breaking ground on the 5th park, as well as continuing to spice up their 2nd gate. I wouldn't count on seeing any new gates at WDW for a few more years, but who knows exactly how long it would take them to have the whole thing built. They could announce it in 2006 and it not open until 2012-2015.
  16. ^mmmmm, 180ft tall Vertical loop.... Now, make it 2 vertical loops and interlocking and oh baby! Seriously, I don't think it will be *THAT* big. It may have another inversion or 2, but judging from the markings I saw I don't think its going to be that big a footprint. And considering how girthy the B&M dive track is, I don't expect it to be too much bigger than Shakira, though a loop, zero G roll, or flatspin is feasible.
  17. I really liked the Scion tC when I looked at it 2 years ago. I was about to purchase one, had all the options I wanted ready, met with the salesman and everything, he had the paperwork all ready and I had my deposit with me. The only thing that stopped me from actually getting the car was that they didn't have it in stock since it was SO new. Its a sweet looking car, and since it is Japanese, it is most likely going to last a lot longer than any American car. Because the Dodge that I was driving was about to die completely and I didn't know if it would last until the Scion came in, I decided not to get it. I went with a Saturn instead, since they had the model, color, and package I wanted in stock. Plus they also had some pretty good incentives when I got it. You do what you want, but remember, its going to be a major investment and have to last you for a good couple of years. Get the car that fits your style and that you like. But if you ask me, I'd try to stay away from the Dodges, or any American car, unless you like working on them. Granted, I still drive the Saturn, and I will probably keep it for quite a bit of time yet (only 18,000 miles on it) and it hasn't needed any work yet. Then again, I can afford to buy a new car every 5 years. Heck, like Joe I'm probably going to be getting a Sky Redline when it becomes available, and all signs are pointing to the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X coming out next October, so the Ion may either be getting traded in for the Sky, or given to Mom or someone as a "here, take care of this for me" gift. Good luck with your decision. I suggest you test drive each and every one you're interested in, see what incentives if any there are, and look at the reports and what others are saying on car forums about these cars. Edmunds is great for finding out what you SHOULD be paying and has great insight to all of these cars, their positives and their negatives.
  18. ^You guys are bringing my excitement of Rita down. Not that I ever cared for the name, but from the pictures I've seen, it looks very GeForce-ish. I guess pictures do it more justice, or I haven't really looked all that much (which I haven't!)
  19. Grizzly- PKD on Sunday April 9 around 4pm 3rd row from back. Surprisingly, it was running 2 trains!
  20. You can join BACT (the Beer and Coaster Team) but there's an application process, you must be 21 to join, and the newby has to buy the first 3 rounds for everyone else in the club. We're not an authorized club by Holiday World's standards either, so we'll just meet after HWN at Santa's Lodge's bar.
  21. ^I'm looking into it, though I'm not sure if I want too many Americans interfering with my English pub experience. After all that reading on England, tonight I was feeling in a European state of mind, so it was the perfect time to break out the Heavyweight Lunacy Belgian style! Very good stuff, not too Belgian, but not just meh either "I'm a Belgian Style Golden Ale, gimme some candy and put me in a goblet!"
  22. I'm glad they're getting something for the evening at the park, but I'm still annoyed at how parks keep blaming 9/11 for everything, especially after they state how 2004 was a record year for them. Why was 2004 a record year for Universal? Possibly because they added 3 new rides at the park that year. What has IOA added since 2000, NOTHING! While its nice they are finally making a ride standing since opening finally open, its not going to draw in the crowds. No one is sitting in their house in suburban America yelling "Honey! Universal is getting a new monorail this year, pack up the suitcases, get your mother to let the dog out, and tell the kids we're going to Orlando! Oh my...and they're getting a new nightclub, restaurant, AND nighttime show, we're staying for a week!" If anything is going to bring people to Orlando, its going to be Expedition Everest and the 50th Celebration over at Disney. Sorry Universal, I used to love you, but you need to do a little better than a monorail, a chain restaurant, and a Rat Pack club to draw in the people. Get another major coaster, a dark ride, and a kiddy rides area at IOA all in 1 year, and please do something with that empty area that used to be Nick Studios over at Universal, then you'll see an increase. And with the nighttime show, people may actually stay thru dark. If there is anything to blame for the decreased tourism in Orlando, how about pointing the finger at the ridiculous airfare prices and hurricanes. Not that people are still afraid to travel for fear the terrorists will get them.
  23. "Best of You"- Foo Fighters
  24. I also got Millennium Force, but I don't think that's what I'd be. Pretty much every question I had to choose an answer that wasn't "spot on" what I'd pick. I wouldn't have a navy blue car, I'd have bright blue; I don't listen to classic rock, I listen to hard rock/alternative rock, etc.
  25. ^Nope, not talking about the park guides, have one of those. I'm talking about the giant poster sized maps they give out with parking now. I didn't know about them either until I got into Wally's car down at Pyramid on the way to Triple Rock. Had I known they existed, I would have picked one up at either guest relations or another parking booth.
