That was a pretty sexy noise! Not that sound turns me on or anything. -

I find the musical stylings of Handel to be enjoyable. Handel rocks. -
Is it a moulded piece of metal?

TPR PENS! (Yes, pens!)

I lost my pen. I left it in a room we were doing a test in and now it's nowhere to be seen. I miss it. -
Alton Towers Discussion Thread
monkeyoverlord71 replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Actually the first time it was due to Arrows financial problems and height restrictions. The second secret weapon was a redesigned pipeline coaster which was designed in a pit to avoid height restrictions. John Wardley then rode a prototype and found it slow and rough...(etc) Then he rode Batman:The ride and fell in love with inverted coasters so SW3 became Nemesis. -

^What I was trying to say is that Air is not as good of a thrill ride as the other flyers but it is all about simulating flight rather than scaring you. Does that make sense? Regarding the other question there are not any "big parks" aside from Alton, Thorpe Park and Chessington Worlds of Adventure. So there isn't need for big rides to attract people as much. Alton is the only one with such tight restrictions that I can think of. It's a miracle the 2010 coaster finally got approved from silly arguments the nearby residents made. -

Rita isn't much after the launch but is still a good ride. I'm not affected by the OTSR's because of my small height but it would be so much better with lap bars. Nemesis is by far the best coaster i've ridden, it's so intense and the speed off the first drop is incredible for the small drop it is. I do love Oblivion too but it isn't anywhere near how awesome Nemesis is. I agree with you on Air, it isn't "thrilling" as such but it's fun and is more true to the "flying experience" than other flyers if you get what I mean. Spinball Whizzer is another favourite of mine! It gives some pretty good forces if you get a good 2:1 spinning ratio. I can't wait to see what they get for 2010. -
How did you get your screen name?
monkeyoverlord71 replied to waterviper's topic in Random, Random, Random
I got mine by using my incredible screen name formula: Screen name=Animal+Title+house number Other screen names I earned with this formula were RacoonKing71 and SquirrelHunter71. -

^I've heard so many MJ jokes today it's unreal. They are all really sick jokes. MJ was a great performer, a great showman and a great madman. He made some great music too. I still can't believe he is dead. -
That was pretty good. Great layout with some nice elements. The loop felt a bit weird though. It was generally smooth but a little bit pumpy. Not bad pumpy just a little tiny bit here and there. The supports were nice and so was the station. I generally liked the area. It was an impressive ride and I hope to see more.

Photo Trip Report - Thorpe Park

Thanks for the report! You have some nice pictures. I think Saw is too short or it at least looks very short. The theming is really good and it makes sense that you compared it too Nemises' theming as both were done by John Wardley. -
