Corporate has to decide: Do they put money into a park that the locals don't visit? Do they park money into parks that are well supported by the community? Why should corporate support a park if the community does reciprocate? What level of support is needed to bring in additional revenue? What level of support is needed to maintain revenue? What are the dynamics of competitors? Those are the questions Cedar Fair must struggle with every day. Not a good enough reason to throw money into a park.

Didn't mean to specifically jump on your case. Just seeing as both pieces of information were posted on top of each other on PCC's Facebook Page I thought it was fair to mention the good news, also. -

TPR's Ever Evolving Park Index
larrygator replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Keep up the good work, I've gotten photos of almost all the new 2016 rides, but surprisingly am still missing many from parks that I know many of you have taken pictures of, so please help. PHOTOS: I've spent may hours over the past few weeks updating elements of TPR's Park Index besides searching for uploading photos. RIDES: Let me know if any rides are missing or if any rides need to be marked as closed or have been renamed. PARK NOTES: I am in the process of updating Park Notes for over 200 parks, if anyone sees any inconsistencies, please let me know. Park Notes provide a quick snapshot of each park PARK GUIDES: I have recently updated The Park Guides for over 70 major parks around the world (mostly US and Europe), if anyone notices any inconsistencies, please let me know. Park Guides are a more comprehensive guide to each park. TRIP REPORTS: I recently linked over 50 new trip reports If anyone has an opportunity to review their home park and provide feedback we can keep The Park Index as accurate as possible, I can't do it all myself. Please submit only your own photos. Do not take them from another person or website. You can post your photos of any size in this thread or in your Trip Reports Or you can use the submission tool in the Park Index, but in that case please resize your photos to 800x600 or smaller before submitting, otherwise they are difficult for me to review and place in the Park Index. Or if you have any of those photos already in an existing PTR just send me a PM and let me know. Parks Coasters and Rides in Movies and TV
larrygator replied to spike's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I merged this into an excited thread about coasters in movies -
So my last day was supposed to consist of credit whoring and sightseeing. In the end I did not get to all sights I wanted, nor did I make all the coasters. The plan was to visit the Amusement Park at Heritage Square, the mountain coaster at Breckenridge, then City Park in Pueblo and finally Santa's Workshop along with a visit the Garden of the Gods and the Air Force Academy. As I ran into a lot of traffic issues, I decided to cut out the least excited and expensive kiddie coaster by skipping Santa's Workshop and Garden of the Gods. The Amusement Park at Heritage Square was set up very nicely, I expected it to be rundown after the commercial/entertainment side of the Heritage Square is no more. As many of you have noticed I'm a big fan of mountain coaster, although this one is pricey. City Park in Pueblo holds a lot of history and is one of only a handful of parks run by local governments in the US. It only cost fifty cents to ride the coaster (other rides are only $0.25), but I bought $5 in tickets and gave away the remainder to a family waiting in line for more tickets. What many people don't know about me is that I almost attended the US Air Force Academy, so it was nice to finally see the campus. Also, Colorado Springs has awesome hole-in-the-wall food places. They have the some classics at Heritage Square Like the Tilt-a-Whirl Ferris Wheel But none of this is why I'm here The awe inspiring Python Pit and the incomparable Miner Mike After a much longer than necessary drive, thanks to traffic, I got another gondola ride to the Gold Runner Coaster at Breckenridge. and then encountered a ridiculous line It is a Weigand model and I've grown to like the ADG models a little more. One of the signs that tells the story of Pueblo's acquired classic CW Parker Carousel They are proud of their carousel Here's the credits I drove all this way to ride. The only other ride at City Park capable of holding adults The city keeps captured gnomes inside of trees to starve them out The park had some neat jigsaw puzzles mounted on the wall. I may have to search the internet to find one for myself. This a Azada Mexican Grill, great homemade mexican food in Colorado Springs nom! nom! nom! fresh Carne Asada Tacos

Top 10 Non-Coasters List
larrygator replied to Live 4 Coasters's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I hops we get a lot of input from Europeans and world travellers on this one, since there are so many unique candidates outside of the US I'll admit, that I'll probably change this when I see what others post and realize what I forgot. 1) Auto Scooters: Knoebels 2) Flyer: Knoebels 3) Pooh's Hunny Hunt - Tokyo Disneyland 4) Journey to the Center of the Earth: Tokyo DisneySea 5) Tower of Terror: Disney Hollywood Studios 6) Room of Living Dolls: Joypolis: 7) Astrosphere: Funtown Splashtown 8) Indiana Jones Adventure: Tokyo DisneySea 9) U571 - Movieland Studios 10) Valhalla: Blackpool Pleasure Beach -

It is no longer a requirement for Trip Reports. However, it is preferred that you submit 800x600 individual ride photos if using the submission tool in the Park Index, much easier for the moderators to view

Oldest Coaster You've Ridden

The bottom crust was a little burnt, but the pizza was incredible. The make bar size pizzas for one. It was about $18 for the specialty pizza. But Sunday they had a lunch special so you could get a drink and salad with the margherita pie for the same price as the margherita pie alone. I passed on the salad and they were kind enough to put reggiano on my pie at no charge.
