  1. That walk at Tusenfryd is similar in elevation change, steepness and distance to some of the US park scenarios that some have mentioned: Holiday World - waterpark to Voyage Mt Olympus - front gate to Hades SFoG - Gotham City to Superman: Ultimate Flight SFMM - anywhere up to Superman: Ultimate Escape
  2. $5 for a weekday ride and $6.25 on the Weekend, no thanks
  3. ^thanks the link at rcdb did not work for me
  4. It was not running good last Monday!
  5. how much is it to ride and do they have softball arc pitch batting cages? It might be worth a trip for me
  6. ^ the question wasn't "is this a good or bad coaster for one that has height restriction?" The question is: Is it good or bad? The restrictions should have no bearing on ones answer.
  7. ^^I think you will just have to stay confused!
  8. Copyright The suits are Disney are big boys and their lawyers know how to play hardball and work through legal issues to protect their assets.
  9. ^Yep, I got you Robb. Jeff Johnson was saying the same thing before I rode it and I just didn't notice it enough to effect my opinion of the ride. Going up the Vekoma lift hill on my back is much more annoying.
  10. I'm not sure it's people not having pride in their jobs, some people just don't think through the ramifications. Look I'm working my butt off right now but in between calls and meetings I check this site. Is this against my company policy, DAMN STRAIGHT it is. Do I care, I care a little. Would I break other rules like visit porn sites from my work computer, HELL NO. For all we know this could be the last day at Disney for some of these cast members as they return to college and maybe they just decided to so screw it "what's the worst that can happen, I get fired". OK, I'm rambling now
  11. waterviper - I would bet Disney's legal team is working on having the content removed from the site however. 1) remember this is international law now (US company, French affiliate, British newspaper) I'm no legal expert but it sounds confusing. 2) The Sun doesn't cave into to pressure, they are a very controversial tabloid
  12. although it doesn't have a defining moments the swooping movements throughout the ride did feel more like flying than most of the forceless moves on S:UF's or any Vekmoa Flyers. Before I rode it others were complaining about too much time on your back, but I honestly don't remember that. Even right after the ride and rerides I kept questioning why everyone made this comment. I like Tatsu better and I love the Pretzel Loop elememt on S:UF but overall this is my 2nd favorite flyer. Then again Flying Coasters are at the bottom of the coaster chain along with Suspended Coasters
  13. Although I think it is hysterical, if you sign a contract which the employees did, there should be ramifications. My brother-in-law works for ABC/Disney so they have never had a spotless image in my mind. A couple of years ago an employee of my company went to a party sponsored by a vendor. This was off the company property closed event at a bar. She got completely annihilated and made a fool of herself (to the point of defecating in her clothes). She was canned the next day and rightly so as she broke an agreement she signed about embarassing the company.
  14. absolutely hysterical Minnie is quite the little ho! watch it now before Disney magic makes the link disappear
  15. Nicole - you looked and acted like someone in shock, I really couldn't tell, that's why I asked what you thought of Phoenix.
  16. I'm sure the Koch family is more interested in keeping the park profitable and a Maurer Sohne spinning coaster will work just fine.
  17. thanks for that expert commentary!
  18. don't know what happened but of course the coaster opened the day after I was at DCA
  19. that's the exact some thing that I thought, but that is it look that Nicole had
  20. Nicole came off her first Phoenix ride with the strangest look on her face. It was cross between laughing and crying. I thought she was terrified but when she finally started breathing she said the ride was great and she continued to ride later in the day. I think she will remember the airtime and lack of seatbelts.
  21. I'm a big fan of the last car of Phoenix, but the air was even better in the first car third row last night.
  22. The Mike we met up with was "BigMike". He has not dropped off the face of the earth, just had spotty internet access for the past couple of months. Great hanging with you again Jay and nice pic of Mr. Stink Finger
  23. Tom, You definitely want to stay on the Main Strip (versus the North Strip where Circus Circus, Sahara, Hilton and Stratosphere are). Much more happening for a hipster like you Tom. The most affordable in the area are Tropicana and Excalibur two of the most affrodable on the Main Strip. Excalibur tends to have more families but generally has the best room deals. These can be had for much less than $500 total leaving more money for the other things that stay in Vegas. Personally if you want to spend all your $500 limit check out if Hard Rock Hotel has avails. Great atmosphere and pool, it's my favorite place to stay even though it is a cab ride (or 15 minute brisk walk) from the Strip, but if you are going to have a car consider it.
  24. I'm in, I should get there between 10-10:30 1. Mark 2. Nicole (niiicolaaah) 3. Kyle (raptorboyasu) 4. Craiggers (TokenYankeeGuy) 5. Katie (CoastinKatie) 6. Ted (CoasterFanatic) 7. Derek (DerekRx) 8. Jay (Hercules) 9. Rich (Coaster 05) 10. Melanie (Funkybadger) 11. Larry (larrygator)
