Mapquest is a good starting point, but whenever going to parks I've never been to before I always visit the websites and print their directions since they usually have the best routes from all major highways. You have to go to the sites anyway to get the hours and confirm the parks are open.

Derek's plan works great if you have a full week as you state. Travel one way on I-78 and I-80 the other way I did a similar trip in a backwards manner over fours with fewer parks two summers ago. Things to keep in mind are that many of that parks have wacky operating schedules. Waldameer was closed one day of the week and Conneaut was closed another day each week. So make sure you check operating schedules and plan the trip in advance.

Apparently this scholarship is not based on need or merit.

I agree with most of the others. Intense -Yes Rough - No You will get tossed from side to side but not in a painful way.

Terrancew_hod: Apologies for misspelling your name, but what the hell crawled up your butt and died? I gave him advice in my first post. The second post about the grammar was to help "you" understand his situation. You are the one who requested that I be more helpful. Sorry my help comes with a tinge of sarcasm. Also, that was cfc who doesn't like acting like a schoolmarm. Now back to the thrillrideseeker - Why did you apply to a school that you don't want to attend? If you have no interest in attending this school that offered you a scholarship maybe you should go to Disney and re-apply to other schools that you would like to attend. But as mcjaco and ginzo said - beer and boob lovers are at most colleges. As far as people that annoy you, they can be found everywhere, even the happiest place on earth.

Well I applaud you for the volunteerism. I myself have have amout 2,000 hours under my belt from coaching youth basketball and organizing fund raisers for youth sports programs. You are right at age 40 I really should find better things to do at 11PM on a Thursday night when I get back from the gym. What type of idiot goes to the gym 4-5 nights a week?

Some people are beyond help! I usually try to ignore them but those that demand attention make it difficult. I wonder if hurricanes are really that bad!

^^I think this means he can not re-apply for the scholarship, but I'm not sure as the sentence structure is weak.

You should take the Scholarship, a free education should take precedence. Thank your lucky stars that you have a chance to graduate college without massive debt.

Yes, I can be callous (and shallow) sometimes. Too bad, it sounds like people face I lot worse in life. I've had people treat me like crap plenty of times, but guess what I deal with it and move on. Regarding the deleting of the Florida posts. Yes, I deleted my posts because for every sarcastic post I made the thread starter asked another question that I perceived to be from someone who is either real stupid or just looking for attention. Then I decided that instead of propogating the problem I would ignore it. My posts were always humor filled in that thread. For the record I had 3 people PM me to tell me the "Black Market Bread" story was hysterical. Now I am sad that I deleted my posts because the humor and smiles I brought to 3 people can not be shared with others. You sound like someone who has moved around quite a bit, did you ever think to ask half those questions. Come on, "What's the price of bread?" Unless you are going on an Anti-Atkins diet or starting a sandwich shop the question is stupid. I tried to let in die by removing my posts from the thread, but you brought is up again elsewhere. If like would like I will continue to beat this dead horse. I'm callous like that towards horses also.

Can Elissa ride yet or does she get to be the bag lady! -
the ACLU is more likely to defend the free speech of the person speaking about gays. I really don't get your point, except that you like to remind us all about how oppressed you are.
-
yup the ACLU does a great job of screwing up this country

Billions of transactions are made everyday between people who are not affilliated with each other. In fact I'm about to buy a sandwich for lunch from someone I am not affilaited with. -

This is so true. Beaver Tails are the best fried dough variation of any amusement park. And I've tried a lot. -

How Much Longer Will Trips Be Available?
larrygator replied to coasterrider1998's topic in Ask Alvey
No need to be concerned! How can Robb and Elissa be expected to have details for 2008 trips when they are still working on the 2007 Trips? This is a ton of work on their end. These trips are not a paid job for them, it is a hobby that they share with us. They have real jobs that take a lot of time and on top of that they now have a baby to take care of. Everyone just needs to be patient and use a little bit of common sense here. Details of 2008 will not be known until much later this year. Wes- sorry I didn't see your response in the locked thread before I typed this, but it probably bears repeating here anyway since too many people are asking the similar questions. -
It's about time characters on the show started asking blunt questions and speaking more frank. I'm still not convinced that Juliet will completely turn on the LOSTies in the end. There are still too many loose ends, but the whole Ben can cure cancer but not his own still confuses me. When are we finally going to meet or learn about Jacob, the person Ben reports to? I am anticipating we won't find out where the Others are there until the show is in its last season.

they sort of already do this with their DVDs

So I'm thinking of going on the Mini Europe trip...
larrygator replied to Elaine's topic in Ask Alvey
You send send a PM to Robb or Elissa. But I am certain that you will not have an "Approved" stamp put on your forehead. Although it would be funny. -

larrygator replied to Elaine's topic in Ask Alvey
If you are responsible enough to follow the directions that Robb and Elissa outline, not lose your passport and set an alarm clock to wake up on time you should be OK. I can say that if the crew going on the mini-trip to Germany is anything like the crew that went to the UK last year you should be fine. Few people wonder off on explore the park alone. Last year there was one pack of 15-20 people and many smaller groups. You determine who you want to hang out with. Of course there is always safety in numbers and you should never yourself in a situation of walking around unaccompanied. I can understand your parents concern because if I had a 16 year old daughter I would feel the same way. -
