  1. I voted for one fave and one underdog. These four coasters rank as my Numbers #2, 4, 5 and 12.
  2. If your parents want a truly stress free trip you should try to do the TPR Trip. Robb and Elissa take care of practically everything and the relief of having someone else drive allows you do to a lot more at a relaxed pace in the same amount of time.
  3. I choose Steeplchase, but would have picked Wild Mouse as #2. IMO nothing else was worth reriding. Grand National did not "wow" me.
  4. Tsunami (aka J2) only costs $4 million and is a signature coaster.
  5. A sort of related question? Where is the back row?
  6. Are you serious? It seems everyone from New England is a fanboy and raves about the park. However, park blows as does Yankee Cannonball. It waited 45 minutes on the slow moving line for a very underwhelming ride. VERY UNDERWHELMING!
  7. Poor Guy - he called me this morning as I was supposed to meet him at Coney Island. He was at Rye Playland and they decided to not open up the park today due to weather conditions. I don't think it was so much the threat of rain but there have been tornados in the area of late.
  8. I thought Kennywood was overrated when I rushed through it on my first visit, but there are so many hidden gems there. Canobie gets my pick - I can't even put it in my Top 25 US parks
  9. Waste Management Inc is going to buy Kings Island from Cedar Fair and use it as a garbage dump. Not much of a stretch from it's current state. Sorry it will be a waste management facility, not a dump.
  10. ^Paul's prison time is well documented
  11. Friends that watch the show have been talking about cloning playing a big part in the plot and I'm really starting to see it as a feasible explanation for alot of the situations. Of course it doesn't explain everything.
  12. Darkastle did not open 3 years ago it opened in 2005
  13. ^Shut up woman and go nurse your child! I have to go talk to God about some kittens.
  14. OK, my only trip to BGE was on July 4th, 2004 which was a Sunday or Monday. I went straight to Apollo's Chariot with a goal of riding once in each row and accomplished this goal within 70 minutes. By this time it was no longer a walk-on, one ride wait. The place did get pretty crowded by noon, but the only ride with a long line that I waited for was Corkscrew Hill. Ride to Pompeii did get crowded because it was about 95 with high humidity that day. However, BGE does a great job managing crowds and if Griffon is equal in eating people to Sheikra you shouldn't have to worry abouting missing anything. As for as food, Restarante della Piazza and Smokehouse are the places I tried and both are great.
  15. Did the Falling Star ever open up for you guys? Great cycle on the sucker. They just run the flats so well there. Those that will be on the TPR MidWest trip, do not underestimate this park. I'm sure Rich or Cameron will post photos of other key IB attractions like Tacos and Air Crow. Oh and Mel's hair is looking fine. Very un-Indiana-esque.
  16. ^is this a medical condition, they might be able to make an exception with a doctor's note. Or do you just want to take pictures of garbage cans. What time do parking lots open on the moon?
  17. ^ah the question isn't so SIMPLE, is it?
  18. How can the parking lot not open early enough? I'm curious about this one.
  19. Derek's comments about completeness resonate well with me. I love a aggressive coaster that is able to beat you up and steal your lunch money, but I also like airtime. In my overall rankings of woodies Voyage is one spot higher than El Toro. They are both great and we are lucky to have both in the US. For people that prefer a smoother ride El Toro will be their choice. For those who don't mind an aggresive ride Voyage will be their choice. Luckily I like both types if done properly. My Top 6 woodies have 3 from each category. Airtime: Phoenix, Balder, El Toro Aggressive: Cyclone, Avalance, Voyage
  20. Here is how to protest high gas prices. 1 - buy the most fuel efficient car that fits your "needs", not your desires 2 - don't drive if walking and public transportation are a feasible option 3 - don't buy any additional goods at the gas station (food, drinks, smokes, milk or bread) Now if the purpose of this day was to get everyone not to drive at all on May 15th, that would save gas but is also not feasible. Not buying gas for one day does nothing since you are going to buy that gas the next day.
  21. Duly noted Wes, let's get back on topic. Yes El Toro has seat belts. I my three trips this year stapling was not as bad for normal "girthed" people as last year but you still occasionally get an overanxious ride op. They do have to staple in larger clientele as the bars do have to be lowered to a certain level before trains can be dispatched
  22. You get airtime in an elevator, also - but it is far from AWESOME
  23. Your PTR needs more pictures of Polka Dot Jill! I need to watch more CW News
