  1. Surely, you are embellishing. A "full" lot on a Tuesday in June. If so your wait times would have been much longer than you stated.
  2. Hey Chuck - good to see you are not too bogged down after returning and have started on the PTR. I'm really looking forward to this one and also Divv's. Well I'm not really holding my breath waiting for Divv's since he may hold out until the off season again before posting.
  3. There is no security issue in releasing attendance figures. Anyone with a little knowledge can tell how busy a park is by examining the parking lot. As Joey said, it is proprietary info and the parks release info on a need to know basis. Knowing the specific attendance at a park would not beneift the public, however releasing ride wait times is beneficial.
  4. Personally I think Nitro has held up well over time and deserves its spot in my Top 10. Even after riding 100's of new coasters over the past 4 years, I think Nitro still packs a punch. I've ridden it 4 seperate days this year and it never disappointed.
  5. ^Nine teams refused to participate in this MLB promotion. Additional "Turn Ahead The Clock" uniforms Many of you guys are too young to remember this atrocity. Sorry for the small picture
  6. Not sure what you are asking because of your horrible grammar. Are you asking if you can use someone else's pass? You know that falls under the category of breaking park rules, don't you?
  7. Good point. Of the coasters I have ridden on multiple occasions. Boulder Dash is the MOST tempermental coaster.
  8. I'm still convinced the TPR Trip just hit Boulder Dash on a very good day. It is still a tempermental coaster that runs incredible more often than not, but not always, so I personally can't rate it up there with Phoenix or El Toro.
  9. Trip Participants are responsible for getting to the starting point of the trip and getting home from the end point. It is not included in the trip fees.
  10. ^That doesn't make the water in that pool look any more appealing.
  11. This thread has been merged into an appropriate location. You are welcome!
  12. ^New ownership in 2008
  13. ^^I'm happy to see that my suggestion did not dissapoint. Falafel would NOT eat at Pick Taco. Although the chips and salsa can be a meal to themselves, I don't think she would like the salsa.
  14. I just crossed into dorkdom as I got 19/20. I knew 16 for certain and narrowed the choices down to two parks on the other 4. caveat: I usually get less then 50% on these quizzes
  15. Please keep speculation in the Super Rumor thread on this one.
  16. Jay - I'm calling your post out as an epic fail. Sending me a PM with this vital information would have made it funny. By the way, it will not be funny if you send me a PM now.
  17. Everybody say YEAH! New park in the Park Index. Everybody say YEAH! The power of Vekoma reaches India.
  18. Certainly unique. I liked the "suspended" (for lack of a better term) loop middle through the ride
  19. OK, we don't need input from every state on Chick Fil A, it is a corporate mandate that stores can not operate on Sunday. Over the years Mr. Cathay has relaxed what was previously a religious overtone to his business rationale and now states that everyone should have one day free of work each week to spend with the family.
  20. I went to SFGAdv yesterday and this morning I had a new Funatics reward in my e-mail Inbox. This time a free parking upgrade to preferred parking that must be used before July 15th. The e-mail said that my next reward would be a free soft drink.
  21. After its first season Great American Scream Machine's vertical loops had their tops removed and replaced with track that had additional braking due to issues that other Arrow coasters had been experiencing, especially Shockwave at Six Flags Great America. The original top of the first loop can be found in the monkeys' enclosure in the Wild Safari at Six Flags Great Adventure. Along with the new loop tops, a brake run was installed after the first loop. The brake run is not set up to stop a train; it is set up to slightly adjust the speed of the train after its exit from the loop.
  22. Valdosta has great onions! Oh wait that's Vidalia. Good photos Erik, I added quite a few to the park index.
  23. ^Whew! I guess I was lucky. I was on that first El Toro train after the breakdown, and didn't realize it went down again. I guess that is why the queue filled up so quickly. Glad you got on KK, but yes the back is NOT smooth.
  24. ^Good question. We were in the Nitro station sometime between 12-1PM when the Nitro ride ops announced that Kingda Ka was running. We had no desire to ride KK, so we kept riding Nitro til 2 PM. They were running 3 trains without stacking and no waiting until the time we left Ntiro at 2PM. I assume people were on KK today , but could only see the ride running (noty passengers) from that distance. I assume passengers were on or the ride ops would not have made the announcement. When we finally hit the other side of the park between 3-4PM, KK was no longer running. Maybe CycloneMan can elaborate when he returns from the park later tonight. I think he said he would be there until close.
