  1. ^awfully hairy legs for a woman
  2. On my two trips to LaRonde (last trip being in May 2008): 1 - I have not had a good meal in the park and ended up snacking on their fried dough snack (Beaver Tails) most of the time 2 - I'm not familiar with the Mummy attraction 3 - On neither occasion were both sides of Le Monstre running? 4 - Adults must have a child to ride the kiddie coaster, this is enforced. 5 - The bus stop is right at the entrance to the park (50 - 100 feet) 6 - Take in the coasters first. Many of the coasters get long lines, but you will have Flash Pass which is good. If the Wild Mouse is not on the Flash Pass system, get it out of the way early, it is LOW capacity. Although this is common sense, to avoid spending too much time walking ride Le Vampire and Goliath a couple of times in a row. EDIT: I would not even have posted if i knew a local would respond so quickly.
  3. ^Wes - I didn't even know of that method. I always just copy the image to my hard drive, then add it as a photo
  4. I'm guessing that you are referring to Neal Fehnel.
  5. I vote for picture #0 of Ice Bat being crucified. I'm not voting this way because he is being crucified, but because it is Ice Bat.
  6. I hope your kidding. All cars is Europe have left-side steering wheels. Yes, I was kidding! I hope you are kidding in saying that all cars in Europe have left-side steering wheel. 1 - The picture posted has a right side steering wheel (in the UK). 2 - The rest of Europe has steering wheels on the left side like the US.
  7. Unintentionally stupid questions will remain in the thread and be mocked. Intentionally stupid and unfunny questions will be removed from this point forward. Let's keep the thread on track folks!
  8. For the younger generation of Americans who have no sense of Geography. Deep South info
  9. The steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car!
  10. Especially on TPR, where there is a conveniently placed a Spell Check button! If you know how to use the Submit button, meet his friend the Spell Check button.
  11. Coney Island Documentary This is one of my favorites!
  12. This would be more productive if you made the title of the thread more descriptive. I'll fix it but feel free to make additional changes.
  13. We usually don't allow debates like this (between manufacturters, parks or coasters) on TPR. Read through the replies hear and you will see why this is being locked. Besides the fact that people argue about what's a Giga or a Mega or a Hyper we get too much speculation. Responses like "I've never ridden any", "I've only been on one", "I've heard", "My friend's dog thinks"
  14. ^Steve - I'm pretty sure that Indiana Beach takes the same overly cautious approach with Steel Hawg.
  15. B&M Hypers (i.e. Diamondback) cost 22 million. 4 dimension coasters (i.e. X/X2) costs 46 million. Sources are rcdb and wikipedia. Insane, which does 4D much better than X/X2, cost only $7 million according to rcdb. But that's not what Nurburgring wanted. They wanted something to simulate an F1 vehicle.
  16. They can be found in TPR's Park Index. Craig - sorry I just had to laugh at your plans being foiled, but at least you got the FMP coasters out of the way.
  17. Flying Turns will "open when it opens". Then everyone, that is bitching now, will start bitching about how long it is taking to open Black Diamond. Yes, Knoebels' may have bitten off more than they can chew with this project, but I applaud them for even trying. I have patience and can certainly wait for completion. It's not like the world is going to end in 2012. As others have said, Knoebels' business is not reliant on this coaster, they are doing fine. The coaster is not going to draw sifnificantly greater traffic and since there are no experts on this type of coaster out there I think spending money on consultants would be wasteful. John Fetterman is a smart guy, he will get this completed.
  18. ^ and ^^ I remember Ginzo getting off the Jet Star and proclaiming it the best coaster of the trip right after it started raining and they shut the ride down. Although I'm pretty sure he did this to antagonize the other TPR members who didn't run to the ride as soon as it started testing, because we were still waiting in line for the drizzle to stop and the ride to reopen. However as moose said, the waiting in the line and singing were far more memorable than the coaster.
  19. Expansion Plans approved Hong Kong Lawmakers approve expansion
  20. Sounds like someone is a little bitter that their home park was dumb enough to buy an unproven prototype.
  21. I don't think you can classify this a "Fail" (or a Winner) until it proves to be unreliable (or reliable). S&S provided the park what they wanted, now let's wait to see how it runs before we jump to judgements.
  22. Zero-G Roll pictures from the Park Index I'm sure you will see more as individuals on the trip post their PTRs.
  23. ^No need to apologize. This has been mentioned somewhere in another thread, but never in it's own thread. Personally, I'm not going out of my way to ride it, but I'll try to hit it up next year on my way home from Morey's. EDIT: hmmm! I might not be going to Morey's next year, a new woodie is no longer listed on rcdb as NEW for 2010.
  24. If anyone wants to talk about the park, this thread can stay open. Especially with TPR ready to visit there shortly. I'm sure talking about the park could get some trip participants amped up. However, if this becomes a speculation thread, I will be forced to lock it. With that said, I have been to SFFT on three occasions. I really like the park and they have a nice selection of fun coasters. Roadrunner Express is very underrated. They also have a varied flat ride selection, fun water rides, great atmosphere, friendly staff and guests and decent food. I have never caught a show at SFFT because I tend to go in April before the shows start, but I have heard they are overrated (Golden Tickets voting is getting better, but still not credible in my mind). As I said I really like the park.
