  3. They recognize the In-depth coverage Robb and Elissa have provided From the Gravity Group blog: Later in the forum thread there is even more in-depth coverage.
  4. JimmyBo - I can't remember if I congratulated you or not via PM, so Congratulations. Looking forward to a full JimmyBo PTR as we haven't seen one in a while.
  5. I don't think that wall of water went over me, but right through me. My clothes were still wet at the end of the day.
  6. I just made this with Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream. It's very good but isn't as sweet as I expected. Yes i have a swwet tooth. Next time I going try it with a half cup of sugar added.
  7. TPDave - your skills in mimickry are poi-fect
  8. ^Sorry didn't mean to make you paranoid. They all look great
  9. The tin man will just appear to be amputateed at the knees, no big deal it still looks great!
  10. ^You can only drive it while wearing the proper uniform!
  11. Those tend not to work too well on family coasters.
  12. ^Mitch and his helpers have caught this type of activity in the past. I did get suspicious of one youngster with Balder first and only other US coasters on his list, but the dude has been to Liseberg and has a PTR to prove it. Imagine if at age 10 or so, Kristen decides to fill take the poll and skeptics only see her age and not her name!
  13. Just as a refresher the proposed Dreamland Heritage Park would include classic rides salvaged or donated from various British parks such as, Southport Pleasureland, Ocean Beach Fun Fair at Rhyl and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. More on the project can be found here: Dreamland Heritage Amusement Park
  14. Joe - I'll certainly be picking your brain when I start looking into hotels for my add-on after the Europe Tour via rail. I plan on seeking shelter near the major rail stations in Augsburg, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna and Budapest.
  15. ^I was tempted to try the BBQ place when I was there last month. It smelled ad looked good but I also passed. I was holding for excellent tacos at some hole-in-the-wall place in LA.
  16. ^No, Percy's Railway has the upper height limit.
  17. OK, having the Hotel El Paso temporarily closed makes more sense.
  18. Population of Australia = 22 Million Population of Shanghai = 16 Million. I specualte that the circulation within 100 miles radius of Shanghai is probably close to 100 million. For years, China has bulldozed cities and relocated the poorest of people to build factory complexes and power plants so why not amusement parks. Disney characters are known and popular even in China/Asia. Why else would their be knock-off products and theming at other parks? EDIT: Bob beat me to the population comment!
  19. Wow, this completely escaped me that Port Aventura opened this hotel complex and closed Hotel El Paso. The old hotel was very nice, but this place looks amazing. Below is a background of the hotel. Hotel Gold River You are about to go back 200 years in time when you go for a walk in Sullivan, the most beautiful city of the Far West. In 1803 Lucy Callaghan found a site of gold next to the Gold River. Originally a settlement around a gold mine, over time Sullivan turned into a prosperous town that nowadays receives its guests with all the glory of the Far West. In Sullivan you will find a range of glorious buildings (hotels) such as the great City Hall, the imposing Opera House, the majestic Lucy’s Mansion, the original huts of the miners, River Bungalows, The Old Train Station or even the cemetery where homage is paid to the towns most illustrious citizens. In total, there are 502 rooms of all types for its visitors, 4 pools (one of them is a private pool for Lucy’s mansion), 4 restaurants, 3 bars, 1 shop, 1 minimarket and a children's club. An entire city where you can lose yourself in the 19th century And with all the advantages of the hotels of PortAventura! The story of Lucy Callaghan As the sun rose on a beautiful day in 1803 the Callaghan family set off on a trip to Santa Fe. However, Lucy, who was the youngest of the family, had a different destiny in store for them. Halfway through their trip, she found some shiny stones next to the Gold River: She found gold! The Callaghans stayed in the area, and three years later founded the town of Sullivan. The richness of the area quickly attracted other intrepid gold hunters in search of their fortune. Bit by bit the small village turned into a prosperous Victorian town whose splendour illuminated the Old Far West. Until today the hospitable Sullivan is a perfect stop for adventurers visiting the area.
  20. Toodee is HOT! Glad you guys enjoyed the show. Wonderful picture of Wes.
  21. ^^ and ^^^ not everyone agrees with you EPCOT Fanboys' irrational love of Epcot. It's not my cup of tea either. "Pointless Dump" might be a little harsh. For quite some time I found Epcot "pointless" and just didn't get it. However, I never found it to be a dump.
